Jennifer's POV:
I picture myself mentally at a lake,my legs dangling in the water as I sit down.
A strong wind blows by me and I nearly fall into the water until a hand grabs me.
I look up to see...EDDIE MUNSON?!
The sound of my alarm beeping awakens me from the most weirdest dream I've ever had.
I rush to the bathroom and pinch myself to remind myself it was all a dream.
I have one question on my mind however,why did I dream of Eddie Munson?
A man I saw when I first arrived.
This past week me and my family have been unpacking our stuff into our new home.
I've also been preparing for my first day of my new school here in Hawkins.
I saw him yesterday again when I was at church and he noticed me from afar.
We spoke to each other,but I couldn't go far since my parents went outside looking for me.
I brush my teeth quickly after glancing up at the clock above me.
I can't be late for my first day at my new school.
I wash my face and dry it with a towel.
I walk into my bedroom and go inside my closet.
I rummage through my clothing and let out a groan of frustration.
"I really need new clothes" I whine.
My mother doesn't let me wear certain clothes,meanwhile I secretly want to wear the same clothes she bans me from.

I put on a Nike sweater with a red bustier underneath,a gift my old best friend in New York secretly gave me before we left.
I slip on Levi's & red converse sneakers.
I put on my favorite red heart shaped ring & put my backpack over my shoulder.
I brush my hair out and tie it up in a high ponytail.
A hairdo I'll regret later when I'm taking it apart and I'll have a splitting migraine from the height of the ponytail.
I spray some perfume on and apply some lipgloss on my lips before walking out of my bedroom.
I walk downstairs and my dad's getting ready for his first day at work.
My mom is making breakfast for me & my younger siblings.
I sit down at the table and she serves me a scrambled egg sandwich with orange juice.
I eye the food and devour it within minutes.
"Whoa Jenny slow down! You don't wanna choke!" My younger brother says and I smile.
"I'm fine I'm just hungry...mom what time is it right now?" I ask as I reapply some lipgloss after wiping my face clean after eating.
"It's 7:50 why?" She asks me and I stand up.
"I have to be at school by 8:30! Pray for me that I don't get scolded on my first day there!" I say and hug everyone before leaving the house.
Speeding down the street,I nearly get ran over by a BMW.
I scream at the driver and hit the top of the car before I run off.
I make it to the school before I know it.
Using all my strength to make it to the school on foot,I drag myself to the doors of the school.
I take a deep breath in & exhale slowly.
That is before I'm shoved down to the floor.
"Oops didn't see you there...nerd" a random girl says as she walks through the doors nearly stomping on top of me.
I get up and dust myself off.
"Bitch." I mutter under my breath.
"God forgive me" I whisper and do the sign of the cross before walking into the school.
I see dozens of kids in the hallway.
Their eyes staring directly at me as I slowly make my way through the hallway to look for a locker.
I grab one and unlock it.
As I put some of my stuff in it,it's slammed closed by a blonde haired jock.
"Hey,I'm Jason...you seem new here?" He says twirling with a stand of my hair.
"Hi.." I say and I move away.
"You have a name newbie?" Another jock from behind him asks me.
"J-Jennifer.." I say biting my lip nervously.
The two men towering over me and that's when I hear from afar.
"Hey dipshits! You have nothing else to do?" A girl says and they laugh at her.
"What are you gonna do about it Mayfield?" Jason asks her and the red haired girl walks closer to us.
"I'll kick you in the nuts Jason" she warns and he laughs.
"Ooh I'm so scared" he says mocking her.
She grabs my wrist.
" in 3 seconds,run!" she whispers in my ear.
"Huh?" I say and she closes her eyes.
"3..."
"Oh no what is little Mayfield gonna do to me?" Jason says laughing.
"2.."
"Careful Jason I've heard she bites" the jock behind him says.
"1.."
"She ain't gonna do shi-"
she kicks in the nuts and she drags me away.
We run fast as Jason falls to the floor in agony and he orders his friend to run after us.
"RUN!" She screams at me and I run fast.
We eventually run off to the bathroom.
I hold onto the sink and I start to hyperventilate.
"Hey! Hey! Breathe slowly!" She says and holds me as I slowly breath in and out until I calm down.
"Thanks for saving me back there" I say and she smiles.
"No problem,you look new...I was once that new kid" she says and I smile.
"What's your name?" I ask her.
"Maxine Mayfield but you can call me Max" she says.
"Hi Max,my name is Jennifer Sanchez,you can call me Jenny or Jen whichever you prefer" I say.
"I'll call you Jen!" She says.
"Wanna be friends?" I ask her and she raises a eyebrow at me.
"I thought we were already going to be friends??" She says and I giggle.
"You look innocent" she says.
"I look innocent,mentally I'm a bit older than my age but growing up in a hyper religious household doesn't help matters" I say and she laughs.
"Live in Hawkins long enough,that religious side of you leaves you before you know it" she says.
The bell rings loudly signaling classes are starting.
"What class do you have?" She asks me.
"My first class is Biology" I say and she smiles.
"That happens to be my first class too!" She says.
We walk out of the bathroom and she holds her hand out.
I grab her hand and we hold hands as we walk down the hallway to get to class...

I was inspired after binge watching Stranger Things Season 4.
This book is basically about a new girl arriving in Hawkins who ends up meeting the freak of the town Eddie Munson & the rest of the gang.
There's no horrors in this book,but there's going to be steamy scenes and some thrilling chapters.
But no Vecna,Demogorgons,etc...
I can't wait for you all to read this book,I'm really proud of it and excited to introduce new characters that are so exciting for this series.
