Just like most days, I was comfortably sleeping in my bed, snuggled up against Kuse even though it was well past noon.
I exhaled through my nose, content with staying like this for as long as I wanted. Unfortunately, though, my peace didn't last long because my phone began to ring on the bedside table.
Groaning, I rolled over, eyeing the display and contemplating if I should answer or let it ring. Kuse slowly blinked his eyes open, his nose scrunching up.
"Who is it?" He yawned.
"Midoriya," I replied, bringing my phone to my ear to answer. "Midoriya, what's up?"
"Tora!" He exclaimed. "Have you checked your mail?!"
"No, I just woke up" I said, rubbing my eyes. "Why?"
"Because-"
My phone beeped, signalling that another person was calling. I checked the display again.
"Hold that thought," I said. "I have to switch lines, Tenya's calling me."
"Okay..." Midoriya sighed.
I pressed a button, pressing my phone to my ear again. "Foxy ladies here, you want the pleasure and we want the money, how can I help you?"
"Tora!" He exclaimed, just like Midoriya had completely ignoring what I just said.
"That's my name," I replied. "What's up?"
"I got a letter from UA!" He squealed.
"Dude, that's awesome," I exclaimed, grinning. "Did you open it?"
"Not yet," He mumbled. "I wanted to see if yours came in the mail too."
"I'll go and check right now," I said, leaping out of bed. "And come to think of it, Midoriya just called, I wonder if he got his UA letter too."
I hopped out of bed, mumbling to Kuse that I'd be right back. Then I headed to the apartment's front door. I opened the door, stepping out into the hallway of the building and opening the small mailbox beside our door. I stuck my hand inside, my fingers brushing the corner of an envelope. I jumped, fumbling to pull out the envelope.
I practically had to shove my fist in my mouth to stop myself from yelling when I saw who the sender was. Stamped in bold, black ink was the letters 'UA,' and it was addressed to me, my name printed across the front.
"Tora?" I heard Tenya say over the phone. "You still there?"
"I... Got a letter from UA..." I replied, analyzing the strange letter. "But whatever is inside doesn't seem like a letter."
"Oh, then you got it too," Tenya chuckled. "I'm going to open mine soon, I'm dying to know what it is and what it says."
"Me too," I agreed. "It certainly doesn't seem like a letter."
"Call me back later, after you open the letter," Tenya said. "Midoriya is still on the other end after all, right?"
"Okay, I'll call you later Tenya," I sighed. "Bye." I ended the call with Tenya, switching back to the other line. "Hey, Midoriya, you still there?"
"Tora, I called to tell you that I got into UA!" Midoriya exclaimed.
"That's great," I grinned. "I just got my letter from the mail, I was about to open it."
"Oh!" Midoriya said. "Then open it first and then call me back later!"
I swiftly ended the call, eying the strange bulge in the envelope from UA. Shrugging, I finally went back inside the apartment, realizing that I was still standing in the hallway. I walked into the living room, plopping down on the dingy old couch, my face reflecting off of the dusty screen. We haven't used the TV in months, my mother says it's because cable costs too much.
Carefully, I peeled the envelope open, pulling out a small, disc-shaped device. I gazed at it curiously, jumping in surprise when I heard All Might's booming voice.
"I am here to give you your test results!" He exclaimed. "And what results they are!"
I leaned forward, propping my elbows upon my knees, resting my chin on top of my knuckles. I waited for the hologram All Might to continue.
"You scored very high on the written exams, and your practical exams scores were good too," All Might said, taking a long pause. "But what boosted your score exponentially, was your quick thinking and heroic actions!"
My foot tapped impatiently, waiting for him to go on. The suspense was quite literally killing me.
"What examinees were not aware of is that there was another way to score points!" He explained. "These points are called rescue points and are given to examinees by a panel of judges who determine how many points their actions are worth. You received fifty points by destroying robots, but you received an additional twenty-five rescue points for helping Izuku Midoriya pass and for organizing Tenya Iida and Ochako Uraraka for additional help. They also received extra points for their actions."
I gripped my knees, waiting anxiously for him to tell me if I passed or not.
"So, with a total of seventy-five points, I'm thrilled to announce that you are now officially a UA student!" All Might grinned. "Additional forms and a date for uniform sizing will be mailed out shortly, but now you should go celebrate! Congratulations!"
I sunk back into the couch, staring up at the ceiling.
"I didn't think I'd actually get in," I mumbled. "I guess this means that I'll have to give up my 'job,' sooner or later."
Pulling out my phone, I punched in Tenya's number, pressing the speaker to my ear.
"Hey Tenya," I said once I heard him pick up. "Meet me at the convenience store in ten minutes."

Exactly ten minutes later, Tenya screeched to a stop in front of the convenience school we frequented, looking only slightly out of breath.
"Tora," Tenya said, stomping towards me. "Did you open your letter?"
"I did," I confirmed. "Did you?"
"Yes," He nodded, making a chopping motion with one hand. "I got in."
"Me too," I grinned. "Midoriya did too."
Tenya smiled, pushing up his glasses.
"Then I suppose it's time to celebrate!" Tenya said, taking long strides as he walked inside the store. "My treat!"
"Sure," I chuckled. "If you're buying, then I'll take a slushie and ten spicy chicken wings!"
Tenya nodded, walking through the sliding doors and into the shady convenience store. My favourite employee looked up from his phone, grinning when he saw me.
"Piercings!" He exclaimed. "I haven't seen you in like a week, I thought you died."
"You wish." I scoffed.
"No, I don't," He argued, shaking his head. "If you died then I wouldn't have a street rat to give free food too anymore."
"I'll have you know I don't live on the streets." I huffed.
He laughed, his gaze then landing on Tenya. He looked confused for a second, but then he smirked.
"So that's what you've been up too," He snickered. "Off getting yourself a boyfriend, eh?"
I would've reached over the counter and punched him, but I settled for rolling my eyes.
"We aren't dating," I said. "This is a friend of mine."
Tenya made a chopping motion. "Pleased to meet you."
"You're not dating... Yet." The clerk said, pausing halfway through his sentence. "I ship it."
"Please," I sighed. "Just don't."
"Anyway," He said, rolling his eyes. "Is there something you need?"
"Nothing in particular," I shrugged, glancing at Tenya. "He's treating me, we're celebrating."
"Celebrating?" He asked, leaning over the counter. "What's the occasion?"
I slapped Tenya on the back. "We got into UA!"
"Congrats you guys," He said, grinning. "I actually wanted to go to UA, but I didn't make it in."
Tenya curiously joined the conversation. "You tried to get into UA?"
"Yep," He replied. "My quirk isn't that special though, it's only good in certain situations."
He pulled out a lighter, holding out the small flame before him. He raised his other hand, holding it to the flame. The flames danced left and right, then growing in size until the heat brushed my face.
"Woah..." I said, watching the flame dim.
"I can manipulate fire," He sighed. "But I can't create fire, only move it. So, of course, I failed the practical. I couldn't just go around setting fires."
"That is a bit of a double-edged sword..." Tenya mumbled. "You need fire to use your quirk, but you can't just go around setting fires."
He nodded. "Yeah, so here I am, a high school drop out working in a shady convenience store. But hey, good luck at UA kiddos, make sure you visit me when you're real pros."
"Of course!" Tenya saluted stiffly.
I chuckled, punching Tenya in the shoulder lightly. "Anyway, I'd like a slushie sometime today."
"Right," Tenya nodded. "Pick anything you like, the price doesn't matter."
We walked towards the frozen drink machine, but as we walked over I thought I could hear the clerk mumbling under his breath.
"They're totally going to bang..." He mumbled. "I can't be wrong..."
Tenya's face went red, confirming my suspicions of what he'd said. I sighed, shaking my head.
Tenya was too innocent for his own damn good.

Not long after receiving our acceptance letters, Tenya, Midoriya and I all received forms from UA in the mail. It wasn't anything too serious though, just some basic information and stuff having to do with our measurements and hero costume ideas.
"Do you know what you want your costume to look like, Midoriya?" Tenya asked, sitting across from me on the floor of Midoriya's bedroom.
"Yeah," He nodded sheepishly. "My mom actually got me something that she thought I could wear as a costume, so I'm only going to get a few things made for me."
"Aw," I cooed. "That's so cute, your mom's so sweet."
"Heh..." Midoriya chuckled. "What about you guys? Any idea what you want your costumes to look like?"
"Indeed," Tenya said, smiling proudly. "My costume is designed to look similar to my brother's costume."
"Oh, that's right," I recalled. "Your brother is Ingenium, right?"
"That's right," Tenya nodded. "He's pretty well-known."
"Too bad I don't have any older siblings," I sighed. "I have my little brother though."
"That's right," Midoriya smiled. "How's Kuse? I haven't seen him in a while."
"He's doing well," I replied. "He seems to be very happy that I got into UA, he can't wait for me to be a hero."
"I have not met your younger brother," Tenya frowned, looking at me. "What does he look like?"
My chest clenched for a moment, feeling a fluttery sensation. "He's got blue eyes, wavy light blue hair, and he's still pretty short. We don't look very alike, though our quirks are similar."
"How old is he?" Tenya asked.
"Six," I replied. "He'll be seven next year."
"Can I meet him sometime?" Tenya asked.
I shrugged with indifference. "Sure."
I then glanced at my phone, noticing that it was getting closer to supper time. Midoriya noticed me checking the time and he also checked his phone.
"Are you going to head home?" Midoriya asked.
"Yeah," I sighed, standing up. "I have to make sure Kuse has dinner and then I promised I'd help him with some quirk training."
"Let me walk you home then," Tenya said, standing up with me. "Besides, you said I could meet your brother."
"Really you don't have to-"
"I insist," Tenya interrupted. "I don't have to be home until later anyway."
I slouched, sighing as I gave in. "Okay, fine."
I would also later find out that this was possibly one of the biggest mistakes of my life.
A/N
OwO, or is it a mistake? Dun-dun-dunn...
