I'll spare you the boring details about the written test and just tell you this.

It was hard. Really fucking hard. But after spending numerous weekends studying with Midoriya (and even more studying at home by myself) I think I can say I passed.

The exam was held in a local junior high, one much bigger than my dingy old school. They had it set up so that everyone in a certain area went to a specific place to write the exam. According to Midoriya, he ended up writing his test in a place not far from his house. After the exam the two of us met up, deciding that we should discuss the test.

To no one's surprise, Midoriya thought that he did well, and I agreed with him. He assured me that I did fine, but I only shrugged.

Which brings us to now, the day of the practical exam.

The cool morning breeze ruffled my hair, which I had managed to wrangle into a ponytail so that it remained out of my face. I wore my middle school uniform, a backpack over my shoulder which held my parental consent form, along with a set of athletic clothes.

I sighed, eyeing the message I had sent to Midoriya fifteen minutes ago. We agreed to walk together, however, he never replied when I asked where he was. This lead me to assume that he was probably at the beach, knowing him, he was training some more.

As I neared the beach, screaming caught my attention, making my head snap to the figure standing atop a mountain of broken household appliances. I jogged closer, shaking my head in exasperation when I saw who it was.

"Midoriya!" I yelled up to him. "What are you doing?!"

He stopped screaming, turning to face me. I whistled, my eyes shamelessly landing on his abs.

"Damn," I snickered. "You're ripped, dude."

Midoriya chuckled, more used to my teasing than he was when we first met. I glanced around, confused by the lack of a certain man-child.

"Where's All Might?" I found myself asking.

Midoriya tapped his cheek in thought. "I was wondering the same thing, I haven't seen him, and today is exam day."

"I am here!"

I jumped around, instinctively spinning around with a roundhouse kick. A large hand grabbed my leg, slowly lowering the limb.

"You scared the shit out of me," I sighed, acting like I didn't just try to kick All Might. "Don't do that."

"Wonderful reflex, young Jiji!" All Might exclaimed.

"Well, it's great that you finally showed up, but Midoriya and I have an exam to get to," I said, glancing at the still shirtless boy. "We going?"

All Might and Midoriya shared a look, making me raise an eyebrow in question.

"Go ahead of me," Midoriya said. "I'll catch up to you."

"You better," I huffed. "Because I'm not waiting for your sorry ass."

"Don't worry!" All Might exclaimed. "I won't keep long."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah whatever, later."

Midoriya finally caught up to me about fifteen minutes later, looking so much worse than he had before.

"What the hell happened to you?" I asked, physically recoiling from the sickly looking Midoriya.

"It's nothing," He gagged, his hands clasped around his stomach. "I'm fine, really."

"I'm calling bullshit," I barked, shooting him another look. "You look like you just witnessed an autopsy. Hey, I know they're pretty gross, but once you get past the gross part they're pretty cool."

Midoriya's gaze snapped to me, his eyes practically bouncing with how fast he looked up.

"Autopsy?" He croaked.

"Forget I said anything," I replied. "But are you sure you're going to be okay for the exam?"

"Yeah," He shakily nodded. "I'll be fine."

"If you're sure," I shrugged, bringing a hand up to mess with an earring. "Just hang in there."

I glanced at Midoriya again, noticing that he was now watching me mess with my ear piercings. I felt my ears redden at the sudden attention and I glanced away.

"What?" I asked, my tone sharp.

"Oh, I was just wondering about your piercings," Midoriya said, embarrassed about his staring. "You have a lot of them, and I was just wondering if there's a reason you have them."

"Well, first of all, I just like them," I shrugged. "I like how they look, I like how they feel, and I didn't mind the temporary pain it took to get them."

"Are there any other reasons?" Midoriya asked.

"I guess they're reminders too," I shrugged. "I got each of them for a reason. Some were happy occasions, some weren't."

"Oh, that's kind of cool," Midoriya smiled, clearly sensing that this was a sensitive topic. "Where'd you get them done?"

"You think I had money to get them all done in a shop?" I snorted. "All it took was a few quick internet searches and a trip to the pharmacy before I could do them myself. I got a few done in a shop, like my lip and my eyebrow, but some of the easier ones I did myself. And as for piercings, I made a lot of them myself with my quirk."

"Isn't that dangerous?" Midoriya asked.

"Yeah, but only if you don't know what you're doing," I shrugged. "I made sure to sterilize everything and I kept the holes clean. I've never had to deal with an infection before."

Midoriya released a breath he was holding. "That's a relief."

"But there's another reason I like giving myself piercings," I added, watching Midoriya's eyebrow shoot up. "My mother doesn't like them, which only makes me like them more."

"You don't get along with her?" Midoriya asked tentatively.

"I try to," I huffed. "But frankly, I don't really like her much."

We fell into a silence, Midoriya seemed on edge and tense, however, I wasn't bothered much. He was curious and I couldn't fault him for that, it's simply how he is.

I decided to break the tense silence. "Hey look, isn't that UA up ahead?"

Midoriya's gaze snapped upwards, his eyes widening as he spotted the daunting buildings just up ahead. His eyes watered, his hands coming up to cover his mouth. I noticed that his knees began to shake violently, his teeth chattering together nervously.

"You need to chill my dude," I chuckled, slapping him across the back. "We're here, no chickening out now."

"DEKU!"

Midoriya's back straightened as he whipped around, his eyes darting around until he found who had shouted. I also turned, much slower than Midoriya, my eyebrow raised slightly.

"Kacchan!" Midoriya exclaimed, his eyes wide.

"Aw shit," I sighed, my gaze landing on the blonde. "Hothead."

"Piercings!" Bakugo yelled.

Midoriya looked at me, his eyes muddled with confusion. "You know Kacchan?"

"Kacchan?" I wheezed. "Small world I guess!"

Then I paused. I have no idea why, but my brain decided to finally click, that news report from ten months ago replaying in my mind.

"Wait just a second," I said, looking at Midoriya closer. "You guys were the two boys from that sludge villain attack!"

"You just realized?!" Midoriya asked.

I shrugged. "I already knew that Bakugo was there, but I kind of forgot about you, and I didn't see your face clearly in the video I watched."

"Whatever," Bakugo said, stomping over to us. "Just don't get in my way, you damn nerds."

He then stomped away.

"Later, Hot Head!" I chirped, sticking my tongue out at him.

Bakugo scoffed, glaring at me as he stomped off.

"Don't make him mad!" Midoriya exclaimed, shaking more than before.

"Meh," I shrugged. "He doesn't scare me, he's just got anger issues. Plus, I have a tendency to piss people off. It's kind of my schtick."

Midoriya shook his head with a sigh. "We are similar in literally no ways."

"You can say that again," I chuckled, lightly punching his arm. "Now hurry up, quit dragging your feet."

I walked slightly ahead of him, glancing back just in time to see him trip over his own feet. I lunged forward to brace his fall, but it was made apparent that he didn't need my help. He floated just above the ground, a small girl with short brown hair and large brown eyes stood next to him. Her cheeks were a healthy, rosy pink, and she smiled at Midoriya, nervously putting him down with her quirk.

"Sorry," She apologized. "I hope you don't mind, but I used my quirk to stop you from falling."

"Oh!" Midoriya exclaimed, his cheeks flushing red. "It's no problem! T-thanks!"

I slung an arm over Midoriya's shoulder, smirking as I took in his expression.

"Hey there," I said, grinning at the brunette. "Thanks for saving his ass, he's not exactly the most graceful guy out there."

She flinched a little, jumping back in surprise at my sudden appearance (or maybe my appearance in general). But she composed herself quickly, giving me a cheerful smile.

"Oh, it was no problem," She replied, her cheeks flushing. "Oh, and good luck on the exam you guys."

Midoriya couldn't seem to speak properly, so I spoke on behalf of us both.

"Yeah, good luck," I said. "And see you around."

She nodded, quickly making her way inside of the school and out of my line of sight. Once she was gone, I spun Midoriya around so that he faced me.

"She was cute," I said blatantly. "You totally should've made a move."

Midoriya spluttered. "Make a move?! What's that supposed to mean?!"

"Missed opportunity," I sighed, shaking my head. "I totally would've asked for her number. Maybe I should've..."

Midoriya turned redder, averting his gaze and staring at the ground. I slung my arm over his shoulder again, steering him in the direction of the front doors.

"Let's go, lover boy," I snickered. "We still have an exam to pass!"

A/N

Just to clear things up for y'all, Tora is pansexual. Also, it's officially Christmas break for me! Not sure how much time I'll be spending on Wattpad, but I have a bunch of these chapters written already, so I can crank em' out pretty much whenever I feel like it. But yeah, since it's almost Christmas I am pretty busy, so keep that in mind please, I'm not doing much writing.
