In addition to all the physical training Gina and Gunhead were putting us through, Uraraka and I had been given extra work. Each of us recieved a coiled notebook where we were expected to log our progress and write things down. It was a little bit like having a diary, especially because Gunhead said we could write about anything, not just our hero training.
Gina helpfully suggested using my notebook to jot down ideas for future special moves and costume adaptations. It was good advice, especially considering I had never even thought about weapons, costume changes, or special moves. I was really just winging it when it came to my hero stuff.
But now I had a whole repertoire of weapons I kind of knew how to use, and it would be a waste to not use my training.
Which brings me to what I was doing.
I sat at my desk, scribbling away in my notebook while on my break. I didn't think I'd enjoy journaling this much, but maybe this was what therapy was like. It felt good to write down my frustrations, both my own and the frustration other people have caused me.
I glanced at my phone which was sitting off to the side on top of my desk.
"I think I should call Tenya."
But before I could even attempt to make a call Uraraka knocked on the doorframe.
"Break time's over," She said, leaning against the door frame. "Time for one on one training."
"Okay," I replied, getting out of my seat. "Thanks for letting me know, I'll see you after training."
Patching things up with Tenya would have to wait a little longer.

Gina paced the training room, her long red hair bouncing as she strut, a wooden sword resting on one shoulder. Suddenly she stopped, turning to face me before pressing the end of the wooden blade to the floor and resting her hands on the bottom of the handle.
"Because we're limited on time I've cut down the list of things to teach you," Gina sighed, shaking her head. "I've decided quality is better than quantity. So even though you've learned to wield less weapons, I'm going to make sure your skill and precision with each weapon is terrifying. So today you'll be learning one last weapon."
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
We've already trained in the staff, katana, meteor hammer, axe, knives, and hand to hand, so what was left?
Gina walked to the wall of weapons and grabbed what looked like two balls of rope, handing me one of them. My arms almost buckled under the unexpected weight when she passed it to me.
"What is this?" I groaned, then adding. "And why is it so heavy?"
Holding onto one end, Gina let her rope unfurl, revealing a sturdy whip with a metal tip.
"As you can see, it's a whip," Gina grinned, cracking the whip once for show. "And it's heavy because the heavier it is, the more it'll hurt. And if you're going to be using a metal whip, it'll probably be a bit heavy."
I unfurled my own whip, holding the handle awkwardly.
"With practice, this may be one of your most versatile weapons," Gina continued. "A whip gives you reach and power. Plus it can be used to pull people or objects out of the way and to restrain people."
"Kinky."
Gina snorted, shaking her head. "Focus Tora, otherwise I'll make you do a hundred push ups."
I shivered at the thought.
"That's what I thought," She smirked, switching back into teacher mode. "Now let's start with whip cracking, I don't want the sound to scare you, so now is the time to get used to it."
First, Gina demonstrated, she raised her whip, flicking her wrist up and down, causing a jarring 'CRACK' sound to echo through the room.
I couldn't help but flinch at the volume of the sound.
"Your turn," Gina grinned. "Just a small crack to start."
I hesitantly copied Gina, only raising my whip to about chest height before snapping it. I yelped at the noise, it wasn't as loud as Gina's, but it was still a little scary.
Gina laughed. "It's a good thing we've got the rest of the day."

I flopped myself onto the couch in the lounge with a sigh, allowing myself to sink into the cushions. Every bone in my body ached and I was due for some much needed relaxation. I'd been so busy with training that I had completely forgotten that the lounge even existed.
I reached for the remote that sat on the armrest and turned on the TV, increasing the volume. The news was playing, and before I could switch channels the news story caught my eye.
Hosu was on fire.
People were running away, screaming at the tops of their lungs as enormous monsters chased them. Heroes battled the monstrosities ferociously, attempting to protect the other heroes and fire fighters as they tried to subdue the fires that had spiraled into raging towers of flames.
I felt my blood run cold, my thoughts becoming a jumbled mess.
"Where did Iida say he was interning? Are those nomu? Why are there nomu? It is the League of Villains again? I- I need to call him!"
I fumbled around for my phone, pulling it out of my pocket and snapping it open. I selected the second person in my contacts list and put the phone to my ear.
"The person you are trying to reach is currently unavailable, please try again or-"
I threw my phone onto the couch, hunching over and grabbing fist fulls of my lavender coloured hair in frustration. I was about to start biting my nails, but before I could slip further into a panic I stood up, running out of the lounge as fast as I could.
"Uraraka! Gina! Gunhead!" I screamed like a mad woman, my bare feet thudding against the hardwood floors.
I bumped straight into Uraraka, sending both of us tumbling to the ground.
"Tora, what's got you so spooked?" Uraraka groaned, wincing from the pain of the fall.
"Uraraka!" I exclaimed, grabbing both of her shoulders. "We have to go to Hosu! Right now!"
"Slow down," Uraraka said, holding her hands up in a calming gesture. "Why do we need to go to Hosu?"
"It's Tenya!" I croaked, my vision beginning to blur. "He's in Hosu! There's fire everywhere, and nomus, and-!"
"Let's go get Gunhead and Gina," Uraraka cut me off, pulling me up to my feet. "There's no time to waste."
I nodded and both of us sprinted down the hallway, coming to an abrupt stop when we ran into Gina.
"Woah there," Gina huffed, barely stopping herself from being knocked over. "What's going on? Why are you two running?"
I opened my mouth but no words came out. I sounded like I was choking and couldn't form a proper sentence.
"We have a friend in Hosu," Uraraka answered for me. "He could be in serious trouble right now! We have to get to Hosu!"
Gina sighed, slowly shaking her head. "It's too dangerous, neither of you are licensed and this is way beyond a simple robbery. I'll go by myself, I was just called in for back up."
I grit my teeth and somehow managed to find my voice. "Please let me come with you. You don't understand, if anything happens to him, I-"
"I'll never get to tell him I'm sorry."
"I'll stay here," Uraraka stated, her eyes shining with determination. "Please take Tora with you, she needs to go."
Gina paused for a moment before shaking her head, groaning in frustration. "Fine! Tora, get suited up right now! Uraraka, stay here and respond to any calls with Gunhead!"
I sprinted to our room as quickly as I could, pulling the case that held my hero costume off the dresser and yanking it open. Clothes flew everywhere as I changed as fast as humanly possible, creating a bit of a mess. But I was in a rush, I'm sure Uraraka will forgive me.
Gina waited for me at the agency's entrance dressed in her hero costume, next to her stood Uraraka. Gina grinned when she spotted me, tossing her car keys up in the air and catching them.
"Alright, let's move!" She exclaimed.
"Text me as soon as you can," Uraraka said, her expression seemed worried. "Be safe."
I gave her a small, but thankful smile, softly replying. "I will."
"Let's go!" Gina urged, pulling me out the door. "There's not a moment to waste! The drive alone is going to take half an hour!"
I hopped into the passenger's seat, Gina started the car, and we were off, racing down the road. We were most definitely going way above the speed limit, but there were more important matters at hand than a couple of speeding tickets.
To distract my mind a little on the drive there, I decided to text everyone in my contact list, (which was no more than twenty people maximum) starting with Tenya, Midoriya, Todoroki, and Fuyumi. Tenya's text was more urgent than the others, being in all caps and saying something along the lines of 'please don't be dead,' but unfortunately I received no response. Midoriya's text asked if he had seen the news in Hosu yet, but I also didn't receive an immediate reply. My message to Todoroki was simple and to the point, 'how are you?' And my text to Fuyumi was less about her and more about Kuse. I warned her that if Kuse hadn't seen the news yet it might be best to not watch the news today.
Before I could put my phone away it chimed, signaling that I had received a notification. Considering this was a flip phone that didn't have any games on it I was sure it had to be someone replying to my text. I quickly flipped my phone open, selecting the new message from Todoroki that had appeared. Like several of his other messages to me, it was a picture (a selfie more specifically). In the picture I could see Todoroki dressed in a hospital gown, his face littered with small cuts, and white bandages. He was making a peace sign with his fingers, but my attention went to the figures behind him.
In the bed next to his I could see Midoriya passed out, one of his arms almost completely covered in bandages. Right next to Midoriya Tenya sat up in his own hospital bed, looking hurt.
I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Although Tenya was in the hospital, at least he was alive. But now I needed to weasel more information out of Todoroki. The photo did show me they were alright, but it didn't explain what the fuck happened.
I quickly sent a text back, 'what happened???'
While I may not have known what happened to the three of them in Hosu, I did know that I was going to chew them out something good.
I mean, it says something when you manage to get yourself in more trouble than me; the resident trouble maker, delinquent, and bad idea enthusiast.
At least now I can ask Tenya a very important question.
Who was it that always tells me to stay out of trouble?
Yeah, who's the dumbass now?

This chapter was a little longer than usual, but I hope you guys liked it. Unfortunately no, Tora does not fight Stain, but it's for a reason. I prioritized Tora getting training over her following Iida to Hosu out of worry. Feel free to leave any questions or comments you have on the chapter in the comments. I don't have any more chapters done in advance, so there probably won't be weekly updates for a while. The end of the semester is getting close so I'm busy with school.
Also thank you for all the support! Because of all the votes and comments this fanfics popularity got boosted quite a bit! I'm super happy and surprised to see this book get so much attention, but thank you all so much. Somehow I managed to get into the top five of the tags, anime, bnha, and myheroacademia! I'm glad that a book that isn't just a reader insert is getting some recognition on those tags.
