Above is a reference for what Gina and her hero costume loosely look like. The art is not mine and is of a pre-existing character named Gebura, not sure where exactly she is from but she looks very close to what I imagined Gina looking like and I loved her outfit so I decided to tweak it a little. Eventually I'll replace the picture with a more detailed sketch of her hero costume, I'm working on one at the moment but I'm no artist.

It was day two of our internship and I was already starting to feel a little irritated. To explain, Gunhead told us yesterday what we'd be doing during our internships, which includes training together with Gunhead, patrols, and training individually. What pissed me off was that Uraraka did her individual training with Gunhead, and I did mine with Gina. Now, don't get me wrong, Gina was obviously strong, looking at her muscled arms and toned legs was enough to tell me that. But she wasn't a well-known hero like Gunhead was, I just didn't know enough about her.

Suddenly my back hit the mats, Gina was on top of me, with her forearm across my neck. She got off of me, offering me a hand to get up. I accepted her hand and she pulled me to my feet, crossing her arms like a disgruntled parent.

"You're distracted," She huffed. "Talk to me."

I sighed, awkwardly scratching my neck. "Please don't take this the wrong way, but I just want to make sure that Uraraka and I are both getting the same amount of attention and training. When I applied to come here I was under the impression that I'd be having Gunhead train me, not a sidekick."

Gina snorted, walking towards the wall and grabbing a wooden pole, her gloves squeaking as she gripped it. She spun it around once before slamming one end into the floor, causing the floor to shake for a moment.

"Let's get a few things straight," She said, her tone sounding more menacing than usual. "First of all, I'm not a sidekick, look it up. I'm Ace, the Jack of All Trades Hero, and in terms of skill I'm probably better than Gunhead. The reason you've never heard of me is because I'm more of an underground hero, I handle cases that heroes in the spotlight don't want to take for fear of ruining their public image. My quirk is made to kill."

I froze in place. Kill? Did she just say her quirk was made to kill?

Gina pointed her staff at me, then continuing. "You see, because my quirk has quite a dark nature I had to train myself in order to not kill people. Thanks to my training, even without my quirk I can fight and keep myself safe without killing anyone. You already fight well without using your quirk, but you're honestly wasting your potential."

"Wasting my potential?" I repeated, confused.

"You use your quirk to make tools such as poles and knives, which is convenient," She chuckled. "But you don't know how to use those weapons properly, which is why you're training with me and not Gunhead. When it comes to weapons I have way more knowledge and experience than he does."

"That makes sense," I replied, nodding. "Sorry for calling you a sidekick."

"Water under the bridge," She laughed, spinning her pole once again. "Now quit wasting time, go and grab a pole, this will be the first weapon I teach you to use."

"Yes ma'am." I said, grabbing a pole from off the wall.

It was lightweight and felt familiar in my hands, reminding me of the many times I had used a pole to fight.

"Alright," Gina grinned, spreading her legs apart slightly. "Copy my stance and then try and block me."

"Wait, aren't you going to show me how to use it first?" I asked, a bead of nervous sweat running down my temple.

"I'm not good at explaining," Gina answered, her grin widening. "You'll learn by experience."

I could already tell that I would be sore tonight.

Almost in synch, Uraraka and I belly-flopped onto our beds, groaning in pain.

"I'm so tired..." Uraraka whined.

"Quit 'yer bitching," I growled, narrowing my eyes at her. "At least you're not covered in bruises."

Uraraka chuckled weakly. "It seems our teachers have very different teaching styles."

"That's an understatement." I snorted, rolling over in bed and opening my phone. "Anyway, it's getting late, I think we should get to sleep."

I can't believe I just called 8pm late. Never in my life had I wanted to go to bed this early, but I was so exhausted that I felt like I would pass out at any moment.

Uraraka yawned, slowly sitting up in bed. "We should shower first, I feel gross from sweating all day."

I groaned, reluctantly agreeing. "You go first, I'll be there in a minute."

Uraraka grabbed her pajamas, hair brush, toothbrush, and all her shower essentials before leaving the room.

I stifled a yawn, slowly getting out of bed and wincing in pain. Gina just had to aim for the same spot on my back over and over again, I didn't even want to imagine what it looked like.

Humming a tune to myself, I gathered my things for the shower, slipping my phone into my pocket so I would have my hands free. I tossed my pajamas and some cheap shampoo and body wash onto my bed, then searching for my hairbrush and toothbrush.

But before I could continue searching my phone rang, the loud and irritating ringtone echoing through the room. I fished around in my pocket and pulled it out, answering before I checked the caller ID.

I don't have that many contacts, so it didn't matter much who was calling me.

"Hello?" I said, waiting for a response.

On the other end all I could hear was screaming, immediately making me feel anxious.

I pulled the phone away from my ear and quickly checked the caller ID.

'Fuyumi Todoroki'

"Hello?!" I repeated, my voice trembling with panic. "Fuyumi, what's going on?!"

"I'm sorry to call you so suddenly," Fuyumi apologized, the sound of screaming still echoing in the background. "But Kuse just won't calm down, I thought maybe talking to you would help him calm down."

"First, explain what happened," I demanded, knowing that Kuse was not the sort of kid that threw tempter tantrums. "Then I'll try talking to him."

"Well..." Fuyumi hesitantly began. "News about the hero Ingenium went public today, saying that he was attacked by the Hero Killer. Kuse and I were watching the news while we ate dinner and once he heard the news he began to have a panic attack. I helped him breath properly and stop panicking, but he's still very upset. He's been crying and screaming for about an hour now."

I cringed, feeling like the biggest idiot in the world. Of course the news about Ingenium would go public eventually, it was stupid to simply hope that Kuse wouldn't find out. He was an intelligent kid, and on top of that he loves Tensei, so of course he wouldn't take the news well. But I felt so incredibly guilty.

Maybe if I had told him sooner he wouldn't have had a panic attack. If I had warned him before I could've been there for him, I could've hugged him and calmed him down like any good older sister would.

But no, he found out at someone else's home through a news station on TV and I couldn't even be there.

I really was the worst.

"Tora?" Fuyumi said over the phone, bringing my attention back to the phone call.

I took a deep breath. "Please let me talk to Kuse."

I could hear noises on the other end as the phone was passed, quiet sniffles and hiccups.

"Tora?" Kuse sniffled.

"I'm here," I answered, clenching my fist. "I'm so, so sorry, Kuse. I wanted to find a good time to tell you, but that was stupid of me. There is no easy way to tell someone bad news."

I could hear Kuse sniffling and it was silent for a moment. "Tora?"

"Yes?" I replied, waiting patiently for him to continue.

"Remember how you told me that keeping secrets was bad?" He asked, pausing before continuing. "You were right, keeping this secret from me made me really, really sad. So don't keep any secrets from me anymore, okay?"

I smiled a little. "Okay, I won't keep secrets."

"Promise?" He asked, his voice sounding more cheerful than before.

"Promise," I chuckled. "Are you feeling better now?"

Kuse yawned. "Yeah."

I could hear Fuyumi giggle. "I think it's time for bed now."

"One more thing!" Kuse exclaimed. "Tora, when you get back let's go visit Tensei with Tenya!"

I cringed remembering that Tenya and I didn't exactly say goodbye on good terms, but agreed nonetheless.

"Alright," I sighed. "We'll visit Tensei with Tenya when I get back. Now it's time for you to get to bed, you have school tomorrow."

"Okay..." Kuse whined. "Goodnight!"

"Goodnight," I replied, then talking to Fuyumi. "Thanks for calling me, Fuyumi."

"Don't worry about him too much, he's a great kid." Fuyumi chuckled. "Do your best during your internship!"

"I will," I replied. "Goodnight."

I hung up the phone, sighing as I sat down on my bed. I heard the door handle being wiggled and turned towards the door, watching as Uraraka walked.

"You sure took a while," She said, walking over to her bed. "Are you still going to shower."

"Yeah, I probably should," I groaned, standing up and gathering my things. "I'll be right back."

I left the room, even more exhausted than before.

I hope y'all enjoyed the chapter! Also if you haven't already, check out my new My Hero Academia fanfic "Please Kill Me." It's about a woman who is incapable of dying and is looking for a way to finally end her life. It does touch on some sensitive topics, but I try to keep it light-hearted. But I hope y'all will like it.
