"Tenya!" I called, waving to grab his attention.

Tenya paused, turning to look at me. I slowed my approach, wiping the sweat off my forehead.

He chuckled. "You seem out of breath, did you run all the way here?"

"No shit... Sherlock..." I huffed between breaths. "And also... Fuck you... Smoking really did... A number on... My lungs..."

"You didn't have to run all the way here." He replied, the corners of his mouth upturned, showing a small smile.

"I was worried about you, of course I ran here!" I screeched, aggressively poking his chest with my finger. "That was a shitty win, you know it, I know it, everyone knows it. If I were in your shoes I would feel pretty shitty right now."

Tenya sighed, bending down and resting his head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around his back, softly patting his shoulder.

"You can be quite perceptive sometimes," Tenya sighed into my shoulder. "It's really annoying."

"Hey," I barked quietly. "You're just as annoying."

The two of us went quiet for a moment before Tenya released a long, heavy, sigh. He then stood up straight, giving me a small, but genuine smile.

"Well you're right," Tenya admitted, crossing his arms. "I do feel pretty shitty."

"Did you just cuss?" I mockingly gasped. "What has the world come to?"

"Your delinquency is probably rubbing off on me," He huffed. "You're to blame."

I snorted. "Well hopefully some of your brains rub off on me and my grades improve."

The two of us laughed for a moment, but as our laughter died out I noticed Tenya's expression sadden. I grabbed his arm, lightly pulling him forward.

"Let's start heading back," I said. "And on the way there you can tell me what's up."

Tenya nodded, walking beside me, but he didn't pull his arm out of my grasp. We walked through the hallway arm in arm, only the sound of our footsteps filled the space.

The silence was loud, but not uncomfortable. Tenya was gathering his thoughts and I was patiently waiting for him to say something. He already knew I wouldn't let him stay quiet forever.

"Tensei said that he would watch the Sport's Festival if he got a break at work," Tenya blurted out. "But knowing that I looked like a fool out there... I just- I don't know."

I sighed, turning to face him. "So that's why you're so down. Are you worried about how you looked to your brother?"

Tenya didn't turn to look at me, but he nodded, the tips of his ears a bright shade of red.

"I guess we're in the same boat then," I laughed, grinning. "I have to look cool for my brother too y'know?"

I heard Tenya chuckle from beside me. "I just don't think I looked very cool back there."

"Well I'm not going to deny that," I teased. "But next round, during our fight we can both do our best to look cool."

Tenya nodded. "Just know I won't go easy on you."

"I'd be offended if you did," I grunted. "I'm perfectly capable of kicking your ass."

"We'll just have to see about that." Tenya argued.

I couldn't help but smile. Something about these conversations and bickering between us always put me in a better mood. Above all else, I'm glad that Tenya seems to feel better too.

"Hey, have you heard from Tensei?" I asked suddenly.

"Just a text from this morning wishing me luck." Tenya answered.

"You should call him!" I exclaimed. "Ask him if he's watched your match! And tell him to make sure he sees our match in the next round!"

"He's probably busy with work," Tenya hesitated. "And besides, my match wasn't really worth watching."

"Come on, even if he doesn't pick up, at least leave a message." I insisted, poking Tenya's arm.

Tenya sighed, shrugging his shoulders afterwards. "Fine, I'll give him a call."

I smiled, pulling him along faster. "Then hurry up! You probably left your phone in the locker room like everyone else."

"Of course I did," He huffed, pushing up his glasses. "I wouldn't want to break it."

"Then let's go already!" I insisted.

"Just go back to your seat," Tenya said, removing my hand from his arm. "I'll call him and then meet you back at our seats, I shouldn't take long."

"Okay," I agreed. "See you in a bit!"

Tenya nodded and I ran ahead back towards my seat. Maybe I'd stop and see Kuse before heading back.

A few more matches went by before Tenya finally made it back to his seat.

"What took so long?" I asked, poking his shoulder.

"Tensei didn't pick up," Tenya replied, a concerned look on his face. "I called a few times and left a message, but he usually returns my calls quickly, even when he's working."

"It's probably just a busy day, I'm sure he'll call back soon." I shrugged. "Did you bring your phone back with you?"

"Yeah," Tenya nodded. "Just in case he calls back."

"Well in the mean time let's focus on the next matches," I said, snickering. "They promise to be interesting."

Tenya raised an eyebrow. "Interesting how?"

"Well next up we have Kirishima versus discount Kirishima, and after that is Uraraka versus Bakugo," I replied, leaning back into my chair with a smirk. "I really want to see Uraraka take that cocky bastard down a few pegs. It's a shame I'm not fighting him anytime soon. I want to punch him at least once."

"You've been so tame lately I almost forgot that you are a delinquent." Tenya sighed. "But aren't you worried about Uraraka?"

"Nah," I chuckled. "She seemed pretty confident before she left, so I think she has a plan. I might've been more worried if she looked scared, but she was quite the opposite. Midoriya on the other hand..."

Both of us looked over to Midoriya and Uraraka's empty seats.

"He must still be talking to her," Tenya pointed out. "Do you think he's worried about her?"

"Probably," I sighed. "Midoriya does know Bakugo best, he probably knows better than anyone that Bakugo isn't the type to pull his punches, even if he's fighting a girl. I mean look at me, he wouldn't hesitate to throw down if I picked a fight with him here and now. But as much as I hate that douchebag I do appreciate the gender equality. I hate it when people underestimate or hold back when their opponent is a girl."

I then turned to look at Tenya, narrowing my eyes at him as I stared him down.

"Speaking of gender equality, I expect you to hold nothing back when we fight," I grumbled. "I'm warning you now so you don't get embarrassed when this chick kicks your ass."

Tenya rolled his eyes. "I should be the one telling you not to cry when I beat you."

I laughed. "First you cuss, now you trash talk me? I feel like you're becoming an entirely different person."

"Your fault." Tenya shrugged.

"Probably." I agreed with a shrug of my own.

Both of us turned our attention back to the match, watching as Kirishima and Tetsutetsu exchanged blows. Several of their punches made contact with eachother, but the two remained standing, neither of them gaining any ground. Solid "THUD" sounds of their punches making contact could be heard throughout the arena, but the fight was starting to drag on. But finally, the match concluded with a double knock out. The two boys somehow managing to simultaneously knock eachother out with a punch to the temple. Both boys were carried off the field on stretchers and the match was announced to be a tie. When the two regained consciousness a winner would be decided some other way.

"Well you were right," Tenya chuckled. "That was an interesting match."

"I wonder how they're going to decide on a winner." I said, pausing to think. "Cards? Rock paper scissors?"

Tenya laughed. "Probably not."

I opened my mouth to reply but stopped when Present Mic's voice drowned out all the noise in the stadium.

"The last match of the first round will be Ochako Uraraka of class 1-A versus Katsuki Bakugo, also from class 1-A!" Present Mic sang into the microphone.

On one end of the field, Uraraka approached the ring, a determined look on her face. On the other side, Bakugo stepped up, his posture slouched and angry, as per usual.

Midnight cracked her whip, and the match was underway. Both Tenya and I watched in complete silence, our eyes glued to the match. At some point, Midoriya showed up, clearly out of breath from running. He said nothing, sitting down in his seat as quickly as possible, his eyes never straying from the fight.

At times I subconsciously held my breath in suspense, but I continued to cheer Uraraka on in my head. I felt incredibly proud seeing how well she was holding her own, but despite all her efforts it wasn't enough to win.

Bakugo may have won the match, but Midoriya, Tenya, and I all couldn't help but feel proud of our friend.

As soon as the match was over we all rushed to see her, most likely bothering Recover Girl by hovering around. But we couldn't care less.

I was relieved to see that Uraraka wasn't injured too badly, but my attention wandered elsewhere. Specifically to Tenya.

He was constantly checking his phone and Tensei still hadn't called him back. By this point, Tenya's worry had changed to panic, and I felt helpless. There was nothing I could say or do to ease his anxiety, but still, I tried my best.

Although I felt embarrassed, I grabbed Tenya's hand.

"I'm sure he'll call you soon." I whispered, squeezing his hand.

Tenya seemed unconvinced, but he nodded. I couldn't blame him, I couldn't even convince myself that what I said was true.
