When Midoriya did finally grace us with his presence he was immediately swarmed, several of our new classmates swarming towards him.

"I heard about how you took down that zero point robot!" Kirishima exclaimed. "That's seriously manly!"

"Uh," Midoriya spluttered. "Thanks?"

"Hey," Uraraka said, smiling at him. "Thanks again for saving me from that robot."

"No problem!" Midoriya exclaimed, his cheeks flushed red.

I squeezed my way through the crowd, elbow-checking people when they didn't budge. One blonde that I elbowed yelped in pain, tiny sparks jumping from his skin as he jumped back. I shoved past them, grabbing Midoriya's arm, yanking him towards me, and slinging my arm over his shoulders.

"What took you so long," I huffed, poking his cheek. "I was starting to think you got lost."

Midoriya chuckled, shrugging. "Sorry, my mom was taking a bunch of pictures of me in my uniform."

I lead Midoriya towards where Iida was seated, chatting idly with the two of them as I tried to ignore what some of my classmates were muttering.

"I can already tell what kind of person she is," The blonde whined to a tall kid with black hair. "She's like a bully! She elbowed me and then basically kidnapped that other guy!"

"Are you sure you're not just whining cuz a girl hurt you?" His friend snickered.

"Shut up!" The blonde exclaimed.

I made eye contact with the blonde and smirked, being my usual self. Not sure why I like pushing people's buttons, but I've gotten pretty good at it over the years. The blonde tensed, narrowing his eyes at me. I blatantly ignored him, focusing back on Tenya.

"Hey Tora," Tenya said. "Did you eat breakfast?"

"No," I replied, giving him a questioning look. "What about it?"

"I was just wondering because I have a few extra breakfast bars on me," Tenya replied, pulling two granola bars from his pocket and holding them out. "Midoriya, you want one?"

"Sure," Midoriya smiled, taking one from the taller boy. "Thanks, Iida!"

"Thanks," I said, also taking a bar. "You're a real lifesaver, Tenya."

"Hey, who's that, ribbit?" A girl with long green hair asked no one in particular.

Everyone's gazes snapped to a man lying in front of the doorway, wrapped in a yellow sleeping bag. The man had deep bags under his red and irritated eyes, a stubbly beard just barely growing. Sticking out of the sleeping bag were locks of long, wavy black hair, and some kind of juice or jelly pouch hanging from his mouth.

Many of the girls in the room shrieked, a few boys also screaming in surprise. Among the boys who screamed were Midoriya, the sparky blonde, and one other blonde who screamed something in French. Or at least I think it was French.

"That's no good..." He mumbled, unzipping the sleeping bag. "It took over two minutes for anyone to realize I was even here."

The room went dead silent, a few people awkwardly sitting down at a desk near them. All of the desks near Tenya were taken though, so I did the logical thing and sat on his desk, looking at the tired man with my arms crossed.

With a sigh, he stepped out of his sleeping bag, then reached into it. He pulled out a set of clothes, UA gym clothes to be more specific.

"Everyone put one of these on and follow me outside," He grumbled. "No time to waste."

"What is that thing?" I mumbled. "Is that sleeping bag a damn purse for this guy? And who the hell carries around twenty gym uniforms?!"

Tenya's cheeks puffed out, a telling sign that he was trying not to laugh. Midoriya covered his mouth, also trying his best to not laugh. Tenya attempted to hide a laugh by coughing, but it didn't really work.

I took a uniform from his man purse, rolling my eyes when the man gave me an irritated look.

"Sir, what should we call you?" Uraraka asked politely.

"Well, it won't matter since some of you will be getting dropped from my class," He sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "But it's Mr. Aizawa to you all."

"Dropped from the class!?" Many classmates exclaimed.

"Yes," Aizawa said blandly. "That's what I said. So then, who wants to go first?"

He pulled his phone and a strange-looking baseball from his pocket, then he walked towards a circle drawn in the dirt.

"I will be conducting several tests, and the person who scores the lowest will be dropped from the hero course," Aizawa said, holding out the ball. "The rules for this test are simple, you may use your quirk however you like, but you must stay inside this circle and throw the ball as far as you can."

The explosive hot head himself stepped up first, ripping the ball from Mr. Aizawa's hand and giving Midoriya a glare before stepping into the circle. He spent a few seconds stretching his arms before winding up for the pitch. His eyebrows scrunched together and he released the ball, propelling it with an explosion.

"DIE!" Bakugou screamed, the heat from the explosion washing over the class.

Aizawa stared at his phone, waiting for a few seconds before turning the screen towards the rest of us. I felt my face twitch in irritation, reading Bakugou's score off Aizawa's phone. He got over 700 metres.

"Huh," Bakugou grinned. "In middle school, I couldn't use my quirk for this kind of thing, but my score is a hundred times better now."

Midoriya flinched and I cringed in sympathy for him. I couldn't imagine these two being friends in their childhood at all, they were too different.

"Come on, let's line up Midoriya," I sighed, turning to Tenya. "Hey Tenya, could I borrow a few water bottles?"

"Of course," Tenya replied without a moment's hesitation. "But why do you need several?"

I grinned. "You'll see."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before the class continued with the ball throwing test, Aizawa had us do several other tests, many of which I just did the best I could on. When it came to the grip strength test, for example, there was only so much I could do. But when it came time for the ball throwing test, I was amped.
Up to this point, I was really just relying on my own physical strength, so I haven't actually used my quirk. To be fair, Midoriya hasn't used his newly awakened quirk either, but I can see why. He's looking for the right time to use it because it causes him to break his bones. I just didn't use my quirk because it's only good in certain situations. Without metal, I can't do anything. Hence why I'm borrowing three of Tenya's metal water bottles.
I could feel my classmates' eyes on me as I cradled the three large water bottles in my arms and headed for the circle. Aizawa gave me a weird look but handed me the ball, standing back to see what I'd do.
"What do you think her quirk is?" Tape Elbows asked, elbowing the brain-dead electric kid.
"I don't know," He replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Maybe it has to do with water? I mean she grabbed three of that other guy's water bottles."
I picked up the first water bottle, unscrewed the cap, and poured out the water inside. I could feel their gazes become confused as I continued to empty the bottles until I had emptied all of them.
"Is she trying to grow something, ribbit?" The frog-like girl asked.
I picked up two of the bottles squishing them together like clay. A few people made a noise of realization as they watched me continue what I was doing. I added the third bottle to my creation, continuing to shape it until I was happy with it. The end product was a crude metal bat, but it would at least help me hit the ball further.
Back in middle school baseball games, I was never a good pitcher, but I think my pent-up anger is what made me a decent batter. I tossed the ball up, winding my arms back with the bat.
"Batter up!" I screeched, hitting the ball with as much force as I could muster.
The ball made contact with my bat, making a "CLINK" sound before it soared away. It didn't go as far or as high as some of the other kids' throws, but it was far enough for me. I leaned on my makeshift bat, looking to Mr. Aizawa for my score. I grinned, seeing that I had managed to get a little over 350 meters.
I made my way back over to Tenya, slinging my bat over one shoulder. "Sorry about your water bottles."
"It's fine," Tenya insisted, shrugging. "I have more."
"Of course you do," I huffed. "I swear to God you have way too many of the same fucking water bottles."
When Midoriya's turn came around he stepped into the circle, looking quite disturbed. I didn't blame him though, considering that someone could very well be expelled after this test. Technically though, I feel like I should be way more worried than Midoriya, considering I didn't use my quirk for any of the tests, excluding the ball throwing test. I most likely did worse than Midoriya on some of the tests. I already know that the guy is stronger than me, so it's highly possible that he scored way better than me on some of the strength-based tests.
Glowing magenta lines began flowing down his arm as he reared back for his throw. But right before he released the ball, his arm lost all of its glow, the ball landing a measly 10 meters or so away from the circle. Midoriya's gaze snapped to Mr. Aizawa, whose eyes had begun to glow an eerie red, his hair floating upwards.
Midoriya's face lit up in recognization. "You're that underground hero, aren't you? You're Eraser Head."
"What kind of hero can you be with a quirk that breaks your bones?" Aizawa scoffed. "If all you can do is land one punch and you're done, you're no longer useful then. Learn to control your quirk, throw it again."
Midoriya picked up the ball, trudging back into the circle with a defeated look.
"He's got a point," I sighed, glancing up at Tenya. "If your quirk destroys your body then you can't do much more than land a good punch or a kick before you're out of the fight."
"Agreed," Tenya hummed, cradling his chin in one hand. "It seems that Midoriya's quirk has a steep price."
"Yeah," I nodded, chuckling at his serious expression. "My quirk doesn't have many drawbacks, if I overuse it I suffer from iron deficiency which causes symptoms of anemia. But it's nothing some rest, iron-rich foods, and iron supplements can't fix. The only other thing that sucks about my quirk is that I can't just magically make something out of something else, I have to take the time to carefully mould it. Simple weapons like a knife, spear, or pole take very little time and energy to make, but a sword, chain, or axe would take a bit more time and energy."
"My engines don't have many drawbacks either," Tenya shrugged. "If I use them too long then they overheat, but it's nothing a break and some orange juice can't fix."
"Orange juice?" I asked, giving him a confused look.
"Yes," Tenya nodded. "For some reason, orange juice refuels my engines best."
"Quirks," I shrugged. "Most of them make no sense to me, take Mina and that bird guy, for example, one of them looks like an alien and the other has a fucking bird head."
Tenya also shrugged, both of us looking back at Midoriya, who was winding back his arm for another throw. This time though, his arm didn't glow, but as he released the ball, my eye caught a glimpse of something.
The ball soared away, and Midoriya safely landed a score of over 700 meters. He clenched his fist, giving our teacher a proud, but pained grin. My eyes landed on his index finger which had turned a deep shade of purple.
"Ha!" I barked, strutting over to my friend. "You reckless idiot!"
I slapped him on the back, earning a shriek of surprise from him. "Jiji!"
"You broke your finger instead of your whole arm!" I grinned. "Quick thinking my dude!"
"Thanks," He mumbled, smiling shyly. "You did well too, making a bat from Iida's water bottles was pretty smart of you."
"Smart? Maybe a little bit," I chuckled, grinning at the bat that still rested on my shoulder. "But I'm nowhere near a genius!"
Aizawa coughed into his fist, drawing the attention of the class away from Midoriya and I. "Pay attention, here are the results."
A purple screen popped up, hovering over the ground. Our names and scores were plastered on the holographic screen, numbers dauntingly hovering before us. Midoriya trembled, one hand holding tightly onto his wrist as he clenched his hand. I sighed, walking over to the board to receive my score.
I shrugged after reading my name and score. "Not last, but pretty close."
My name was only three places from the bottom, above someone named "Aoyama," and two others. I squinted at the board, my eyes widening as I read the name at the bottom.
"Izuku Midoriya."
I flinched, watching as Midoriya shrunk in on himself, his dead stare locked onto the board.
"After seeing all of your results," Aizawa sighed, looking bored as per usual. "I've decided not to expel any of you from the hero course."
Midoriya burst into tears, making me cringe away.
But hey, at least Midoriya, Tenya, and I all survived our first day at UA. Oh, the joy.
A/N
I may be getting the times all screwed up, but whatever. This is my story now, Tora and I have highjacked it!
