"His levels are getting dangerously low," Allura told krolia as they waited for Keith to come back.
They looked back hearing foot steps and expected to see Keith but instead they saw lance walking in.
"Lance, right?" Krolia smiled gently at him.
"Um yea, do we have anything to drink by any chance?" Lance asked pursing his lips.
"We're saving them," Allura didn't look at him.
"How's Lotor?" Krolia asked him kindly as she got lance a water pouch.
"Not... not good, Keith's helping me with a problem right now, I couldn't be there," lance held the water pouch as he felt sick to his stomach. He looked paler to the women.
"He's really bad, I don't know if he'll live to tomorrow if he's not in a pod," Lance laughed softly with tears threatening to spill as he gripped the side of his head feeling slightly hysterical. This stress was going to drive him crazy. If Lotor dies now it would be his fault that he couldn't save him.
"Shiro needs the pod more, his spirit is connecting to the clones body," Allura sent him a glare.
"I'm not saying I'm just going to take it when shiro is currently in it," lance sent her a look with red eyes.
"And I get that your pissed at me for saving my boyfriend but can you cut me some slack! I know your also pissed cause he didn't kiss you back or take your hand in damn marriage but that's what happens when you kiss people who are taken! So go ahead and be pissed I don't care!" Lance snapped finally as Allura kept a stern face.
"He used me for my power and killed my people!" Allura hissed dangerously.
"Oh of course my bad it's always about you," he scoffed.
"Lance I only kissed him cause I was confused what I wanted," she sighed annoyed.
"And what did you figure out?" Lance asked darkly. "We're you satisfied or are you hurt because he rejected you?"
"Was it before or after you turned your back on him?" He snarled and Alluras eyes widen. He knew it was before the fights and the chaos. Her silence told him everything.
"You don't think Allura, your rage is impulsive, you've hit me and thrown me out before I could've explained, you attack him and call him his father, there was something wrong in his head and you wouldn't have even let me try to help!" He raised his voice at Allura with a snarl.
"So blame me all you want, I don't care,"
"Lance enough," Keith walked over with the knife in his hand.
"Thank you keith," Allura rolled her eyes looking down.
"Allura your not innocent, Lance is right, you had no right to even try seducing Lotor knowing his feelings for lance, but we need to get past it," Keith stood between them not backing down.
"You're all really hoping Lotor dies, I don't need your pity," lance dropped the water pouch and stormed out.
Keith quickly grabbed the water and threw it back at lance as it hit him in the head making lance turn to him with wide eyes.
"Take the water, you'll need it," Keith gulped as lance turned back but kept the water.
"Lance I stopped the bleeding, but that won't be what kills Lotor besides a missing arm and leg, it'll be those burns, focus on those," Keith told him as lance didn't look back at them as he walked out. Wiping away tears that ran down his face.
"What's wrong with Lotor? No one saw him after lance retrieved him," Krolia asked gently.
"He lost his left arm and right leg, there's third degree burns on his right side till his shoulder, he has a nasty scar on his face as well, if those burns don't kill him it'll be the infection," Keith signs looking down at shiros body sorrowfully. He didn't want Lotor to die, he didn't want to see lance in that pain.
He was trying to be a leader that was fair.
They were silent as keith looked back at shiros resting face. He looked peaceful. The heart monitor had a soft beep that kept a steady pace but that didn't mean he'd live.
"I'm afraid the clones body is rejecting shiros consciousness," Allura sighed reading the ratings.
"What? There must be some way you can help," Keith snapped his head at her.
"I'm sorry... there's nothing I can do," Allura breathed sadly, this was their friend, their black Paladin. No one wanted to loose shiro.
Keith slammed busy fist on the pod clenching his teeth. He couldn't cry, he wouldn't, not when he still had hope for his brother figure.
"Shiro please," his voice broke. "Fight,"
"You can't do this to me again," he inhaled his sob but refused to let the tears fall.
But a light went off that was yellow as keith looked up surprised seeing it was a good thing rather than red. The pod opened up and shiro inhaled deeply.
"Shiro?" Keith looked at him wide eyes. The older man opened his eyes and landed on keith.
"Keith?" He breathed with a rasped voice. "i was dreaming,"
"But you saved me," shiro looked at him proudly. Keith smiled relieved and hugged him tightly as shiro wrapped his one arm around Keith. They both left the fight from the clone beaten, Keith cutting off shiros robotic arm in defense and the scar now remaining on his cheek. But they were together again, they were a family again.
"We saved each other,"
Suddenly the doors opened as everyone returned but lance once again as they looked thrilled seeing shiro was sitting up.
"He's alright!" Pidge smiled brightly.
"Where were you guys? We couldn't get ahold of you," Keith helped shiro sit up.
"To much, I'm never going on adventures on strange planets again," hunk looked at them unamused.
"But you ready to charge up the lions?" He turned his lips into a smile as they could move on.
"Where's lance?" Shiro looked at them smiling softly.
"Has he come out yet?" Pidge looked at keith.
"Yea, but it was for a different reason..." Keith sighed.
"He can stay in the lion as long as he wants," Allura mumbled under her breath getting up.
"Did I miss something?" Shiro blinked confused.
"Allura and lance aren't on talking terms as much," Keith looked at Allura sternly like a warning of watching herself.
"Why? I missed so much, Lance was never the silent treatment type," shiro looked worried now remembering how funny and sweet Lance was.
"Cause maybe someone is keeping the bastard that wants us all dead," Romelle scoffed from the side.
"Just because lance saved Lotor doesn't mean he should be isolated," Pidge sent her a look.
"Lance saved Lotor? As in the prince of the galra," shiro held his head very confused. His spirit in the black lion he could only be apart of the battles and glimpses.
"Oh lance and Lotor are together, he was his general for what almost a year?" Hunk said casually.
"There's a lot you have to catch up on," Keith sighed.
