Tense
"So You've sound lance already?" Lotor found Axca. She froze in fear seeing him standing tall once more, he looked like he was never disabled and the scar on his face was still fresh. She clenched her jaw tightly taking a step back, Lotor noticed but stayed calm.
"They let you walk again?" She gulped.
"Yes, I'm grateful to the holts," Lotor nodded with his hands behind his back.
"Are you angry with me?" Axca asked.
"For what?" Lotor tilted his head to the side.
"D-do you remember?" She pursed her lips and Lotor stayed silent but nodded.
"I actually wanted to speak to you about that, about everything, if I could have a moment of your time," Lotor motioned to the side, Axca followed quietly not knowing what to expect, she had her knife under her belt ready.
"What do you want?" She asked coldly.
"I don't want anything but a few moments," he said calmly. Lotor saw her reach behind her back.
"Try anything-" "I'm sorry,"
Axca paused wide eyes. Lotor held his hands in front of him as he looked at her softly.
"I'm sorry for what I did, you didn't really betray me, you, ezor, zethrid... none of you betrayed me, I was selfish and it was a mistake, I deeply apologize for the pain I've caused," Lotor nodded gently with guilt on his face.
"I hope you find your place with the marmora, your a talented soldier and loyal companion, they're lucky to have you Axca, I know I was," he smiled sadly at her. She gulped pulling her hand from the blade and nodded silently.
"Lance really did make you a better man, hurt him again and I'll kill you myself," Axca said sternly before turning her back on him.
"But your forgiven... I'm glad your well now, physically and in the head, damn lunatic,"
Lotor smiled watching his old friend leave him once again. Only this time he hoped with better terms, he truly wanted her to move on, he would never ask her to be loyal to him again, he didn't deserve to be a leader. Not again. He was afraid of that much power.
"You talked to her earlier didn't you?" Lotor crossed his arms and smirked over his shoulder with lance peaking over the corner of the halls.
"She didn't have to forgive you but I guess I did," lance rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"How do you feel?" He asked quietly.
"Like weights been taken off my shoulders, Axca is my oldest allie, she's seen me at my weakest moments when I was younger," Lotor shrugged a little. "She didn't have to forgive me but I'm glad she did,"
"Also I think Axca has been impacted by you more than anyone else I know," he blinked surprised and lance squealed happily.
"Hell yea got the scary looking people to like me!" Lance jumped excited as Lotor crossed his arms unamused.
"I'm not scary looking..." Lotor pouted as they walked back to lances cabin.
"Your built like tiger and taller than everyone here, your intimidating," lance poked his shoulder teasing.
"Don't worry, I never thought it was scary," lance winked back as he closed the door. Lotor blushed at the flirt but went inside as well.
"Looks like lance has a dog," Pidge teased seeing Lotor and lance side by side again while the three went into hunks apartment.
"More like a mutt," Allura scoffed.
"Dont You have a crush on Lotor still?" Hunk picked at his nails.
"No!"
Pidge and hunk looked at each other unamused, not believing her. They knew better.
"Just don't do anything stupid, Lotor isn't even attracted to women in the first place, yes he's a very very attractive man himself and his accent will make anyone fall in love but don't be dumb," hunk told her calmly as she blushed brightly.
"I had a crush once yes, but as soon as Lotor turned on us that went away immediately," Allura rolled her eyes.
"Have you ever had a crush before?" Pidge raised a brow.
"I-uh... no?"
"There it is, Allura, princess, a crush is just excitement of someone new, it's normal for it to be completely one sided but it's not normal to try forcing your way into someone else's relationship," hunk smiled at her gently trying for her to understand her wrongs.
"What are you saying? Lance and Lotor broke up," Allura crossed her arms as they stayed in hunks cabin.
"And you had no part in it?" Pidge raised a brow. "Everyone knows you kissed Lotor, lance is still upset about it and I'm guessing Lotor is uncomfortable with you now because of it,"
"To be far better looks like he's a great kisser," hunk commented.
"Do you want to kiss him?" Pidge asked him wide eyes. He shrugged.
"If he kissed me I wouldn't pull away," hunk shrugged casually. Pidge hummed amused.
"So you can kiss Lotor and I can't?" Allura snorted.
"I'm more his type than you, male," hunk smiled innocently.
"Fucking go ask I gotta see this," Pidge laughed holding their stomach almost falling over.
"You want to go talk to the ex emperor of the galra about his sexuality?" Hunk asked flatly looking at her.
"Yes," there was evil in her eyes.
-
"Just try human food, I ate your galra food crap," lance offered Lotor a cherry tomato as he was making dinner.
"Why is it red?" Lotors ears pressed down in suspicion.
"Because it's deliciously ripe," lance ate it instead.
"It's called vegetables, they're good for you," he shrugged as he cut the tomatoes while Lotor watched.
There was a heavy knock at the door.
"It's open v!" Lance called but the three Paladins came in.
"Are You cooking?" Pidge saw them in the kitchen.
"Yea, I got hungry and trying to get this big baby to try a vegetable," lance shrugged as Lotor sent him a glare.
"Anyways, we came to bother Lotor about his sexuality," Pidge waved it off.
"Does this count as harassment?" Lotor gulped.
"Would you kiss hunk?" Pidge asked.
"No?"
"That's rude I thought we were friends," hunk pointed at the galra.
"You wouldn't kiss hunk?" Lance asked a little offended.
"Okay out of all of us in the room who would you kiss?" Hunk tried again and Lotor felt his face burn awkwardly.
"No you can't say lance," he stopped him quickly.
"Oh... then hunk I suppose," Lotor shrug nodding and lance nodded agreeing with the answer.
"Why not me?!" Pidge gasped. "Or like what's the reasoning for it?"
"You look like a child, Allura is a female, lance wouldn't let me, so," Lotor explained quietly.
"So your gay gay?" Hunk gave a thumbs up liking that he was chosen.
"Is this like a daily bully thing or like how did you even get to this topic in the first place?" Lance asked curiously seeing how flustered Lotor was.
"Mmm studying the galra as a species? The norms and all?" Pidge offered. Lance didn't believe her but went with it.
"Also hunk said Lotor looks like he's a good kisser," she sang innocently and hunk screamed.
"I can't believe you said that," Allura gasped.
"He is," lance confirmed.
"Am I really?" Lotor turned to him impressed.
"Don't get any ideas," lance pointed the knife at him.
"Hands to myself I know," the galra rolled his eyes and lance smiled.
Lance finished making dinner and the Paladins stuck around and tried out his dish, they ate together with Lotor, almost like how things use to be... an alliance that built friendships, trust, Lotor was anxious to be in the room full of Paladins but there was no tension. Lance couldn't help but notice Lotor was tense.
