Mindful battle
Oxygen levels: 5%
"There must be some way for us- to harness the power of the white hole- and use it to get the ship working," pidge inhaled deeply as the paladins where sitting around unable to feel the energy to even stay up by themselves.
"We've tried everything- I don't think... I can keep moving," hunk laid on the ground as alarms were going off around them but suddenly there was a new beeping that was more rapid.
"Guys, look, they're..." lance tried to point but lost his strength and slumped on the ground with a groan. But he was right, Lotor and Allura have returned.
——
Allura got to the controls as they returned and started up the castle again as oxygen was allowing them to breathe properly again as they all stood again, blessing the air around them.
"You did it," coran smiled weakly as his arms hung.
"I never doubted you," lance wheezed as he used hunk to get up and smiled at Lotor. His lover gave a soft smile back but it dropped, lance noticed the disappointment in his eyes.
"I couldn't have done it without Lotor," Allura smiled back at the galra. He was surprised but smiled, it was genuine but it was more of a leader like smile.
"You are a true altean alchemist, Oriande was for you, not for me," Lotor spoke softly as he looked back at her. Allura smiled as she blushed softly.
But lance looked at him concerned.
——
"Are you okay?" Lance walked up to Lotor as they all parted from the main bridge.
"What makes you think I'm not?" Lotor looked back at him as they stopped in the hall.
"Are we going to talk about it at least?" Lance hugged his body a little. Lotor knew that gesture was when lance was nervous or worried.
"Nothing happened on Oriande, trust me," Lotor walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"I do trust you, I'm not asking about if something happened there with you and Allura," lance held his hand gently and pulled it over to kiss his knuckles gently.
"I'm asking if your okay, did something happen to you?" Lance looked up at him and Lotor gulped a little, Lance could feel the shudder from him.
"I wasn't able to unlock the secrets," Lotor told him taking a deep breath a little as he looked away.
"What do you mean? Your one of the chosen I thought," lance looked at him confused but held lotors hand still.
"I am, but there's a trail, against the white lion, I failed it," Lotor pulled away as he leaned against the wall with a sigh.
"All those nights lance, all my time, our time, searching and studying, i failed my mother," Lotor pursed his lips as lance stood in front of him.
"No," lance held the side of his face gently. "She would've been proud that you even tried, that you got further than others,"
Lotor looked at him and smiled nodding. Leaning forward as he pressed his lips to lances gently, lance smiled kissing back as he held lotors face, brushing his hair behind his ear as Lotor pulled him close.
"You May have been right as well my love," Lotor whispered.
"Course I am, but what about?" Lance blinked looking up at him.
"You've spoken of me having PTSD," Lotor looked away ashamed and Lance was surprised he even admitted it.
"Yea?" Lance gulped.
"The trail with the lion to prove my worth... I couldn't stop imagining that battle, the blood, all of it, your voice, you where petrified and you watched it all," Lotor pressed his forehead against lances as lance held the back of his head, combing through his hair.
"We're both okay, I promise," lance whispered.
"How do I stop it?" Lotor asked closing his eyes.
"You've always been a fighter mi amor, it's a battle but I won't let you loose, I'm here," he rubbed behind lotors ear and kissed his forehead.
"I love you," Lotor smiled down at him feeling safe with the smaller human.
"I love you too my hellfire," lance hugged him smiling as Lotor wrapped his arms around him.
——
The two dragged themselves into their quarters on the galra ship as lance and Lotor has their armor trailing behind them as they were left in the black suits, while they both peaked their tops off.
Lotor fell face first into the bed as lance slithered in with a groan. He rolled over seeing Lotor burying himself in the sheets and smiled a little.
"Come mer you big baby," lance opened his arms and soon felt weight against him as Lotor laid on him, his head resting on his shoulder and arms wrapped around lances small waist, lance smiled kissing his head as he giggled feeling Lotor lips kissing his neck.
"Mmm tired," Lotor mumbled.
"I don't blame you," lance hummed smiling. His smile fell when he felt Lotor still getting to snuggly instead of sleeping.
"Hey, I thought it was bed time," lance grumbled but gasped a scream when Lotor pulled him under the sheets as it was just the two of them under the covers.
"Suddenly not so tired?" Lance giggled looking up at Lotor on top of him.
"Not so sudden desire for you my love," lotor smirked down.
"Your such a dork," lance wrapped his arms around him as Lotor kissed his neck again with a growl. Lance didn't mind though, this prince, this king, was his, and he didn't mind the living attention from his king.
