Keith put a hand over his chest as they were past the storm, he looked behind him and saw his wolf looking up at him confused. They were unfrozen.

"What happened?" Romelle laid on the floor behind Coran and Allura in the blue lion.

"Did something try to come kill us?" She asked confused.

"You know it," Lance slouched back with his eyes closed.

"It looks like that nebula carried us thousands of light years away," Allura brought up a map to see how far they were.

"So how far are we?" Coran asked.

"That looks like... I recognize these constellations, this is earths solar system!" Pidge gasped looking at the screens in disbelief. Was it really earth? Was it home?

"It's home," hunk saw the Milky Way ahead.

"We made it," lances heart dropped.

"Let's get going," Keith smiled. They did it.

Lance gulped a little and muted everyone except hunk as they traveled forward together in voltron. He covered his face a little and inhaled deeply.

"Hunk I need to tell you something," Lance whispered with his eyes down.

"Huh? Yea man?" Hunk raised a brow confused.

"If it's about before I get it, your good, you were tired like all of us and angry about everything-" "no it's about earth,"

"Oh, what's up?" He tilted his head to side.

"My family... they kicked me out," Lance sighed crossing his arms keeping his eyes down.

"Veronica is my oldest sister and she helped me a lot, study to get into garrisons and all, so I wasn't on the streets anymore when my parents threw me out," he pursed his lips.

"What? Your parents literally kicked you out before garrisons?" Hunk was shocked and Lance nodded slowly.

"Because of the car accident, with chloe," he sighed.

"When she died and all they blamed me, and when I got home from the hospital my clothes were on the porch and they cleared my room," Lance gulped a little. 

"Lance you never told us... " hunk whispered wide eyes.

"I just wanted to tell you before we got to earth, because I'm not going home, I'm probably going to stay at the garrisons," he shrugged leaning back in his chair.

"And with what happened before I just thought I should be a little honest, especially now," Lance smiled sadly looking up.

"So do you want me to tell the others?" Hunk offered but he shook his head.

"Not now, everyone's so happy, tell them when it's relevant," Lance smiled back at at him and unmuted the two of them.

"Are you okay?" He asked Lance gently seeing how unenthusiastic he seemed that they were actually going home.

"I'm fine," Lance sighed with a small grin watching the excitement on pidges face as she was trying to send a message out to her dad.

"I'll be right back guys," hunk called getting up to check on Lotor hoping he wasn't on the ground.

"Dad it's me Pidge, do you copy? We're in earths solar system and heading home now," Pidge called through the communications in hope.

It was all static, but Pidge move the device a little to hear her fathers voice.

"To any being who receives this message-" it was hard to hear.

"Dad your okay," tears welded up in pidges eyes.

"Planet earth has-" "how's Matt? And mom? Is Matt with you?" Pidge was to happy to hear there was something wrong.

"Most of the citizens-"

Everyone's heart dropped.

"Let me get a clearer signal," Pidge gulped.

"Is something wrong?" Hunk asked as he walked over to Lotor who was sitting in the bed wrapping his own leg with clean bandages.

"Yo man what happened?" Hunk ran over now concerned.

"It's nothing, I.. fell and it opened up the wound on my leg, I can handle it," Lotor looked up at him calmly as he tied off the bandage better than hunk ever did. Slipping the blanket back over his lap so neither of them stared.

"I heard Lance," Lotor whispered and hunks eyes widen.

"Your um, your communications also come from the speakers down here, I can mostly hear everything," Lotor explained resting his back against the wall.

"Did you know?" Hunk picked up around them.

"Not that much, I only knew his family hated him for his sisters death, I didn't know they'd banish him," Lotor nodded softly and hunk pursed his lips.

"Everyone has secrets, I know there's more to Lance that I also don't know of, as well as any other Paladin here," he looked up at him softly.

It felt a little painful looking at Lotor now, he seemed smaller sitting on the bed, maybe regular human size.. but he looked tired still and hopeless.

"Those of us remaining are making our last stand,"

Hunk paused hearing sams message from Pidge.

"If you get this message please get word to voltron, we need help,"

"Guys, are you seeing this?" Keith breathed as he saw galra cruisers surrounding earth.

Hunk sprinted up to his pilot seat fearful. He has his own family back home.. no...

"To any being who receive this message, planet earth has been over run by the galra,"

Everyone was in shock as they flew towards the planet. The message repeated itself through the speakers.

"It's not a reply.. it's a distress signal," hunk closed his eyes as he put his hands over his helmet leaning forward.

"We're to late?" Allura asked.

"We need to pull back," Lance told them wide eyes.

"What?" Pidge asked with tears in her eyes.

"We can't go into the earths system or-" "we've wasted enough time, we need to go," Allura cut him off.

"I need to know if my dads okay," Pidge agreed.

They flew towards the planets passing Pluto already.

"Dad can you hear me?" Pidge called.

"Katie? Katie is that you?" Sams voice picked up and relief floated through them.

"Dad! I'm here!" She gasped.

"Katie I'm glad to hear your voice, where are you?" Sam asked still a little panicked.

"We're within the solar system, heading to earth now," she told him firmly.

"Wait you must stop!"

"What?" Keith blinked surprised.

"Stop!" Sam said again.

"Sendak has invaded earth and taken over, if he finds out voltron is here he'll threaten the people of earth in exchange for the lions," he explained and Lance gulped a little nodding. He knew the galra, he knew they'd see them coming.

"Reverse thrusters," Keith told them and pulled back immediately as well as everyone else.

But three galra fighter ships saw them and started to attack.

"Paladins we blocked the patrols transmissions, your clear," Sam replied as they avoided being hit.

"Roger that, let's take them out," Lance pulled a handle to fire his lion at them. Taking out two of the ships in one hit.

"Wait let's not destroy the last ship!" Pidge cut in with an idea. "We could use it,"

"For what?" Lance asked confused.

"We can't fly the lions without being spotted so let's use one of their own," Pidge smirked a little.

"Let's try landing," Keith agreed.
