Always first
"So your going where?"
"Oriande," Lotor said simply as lance stood at the other side of the room very unamused.
"I've never heard of the planet, I've read about it as a myth," lance said crossing his arms with a flat look.
"Actually Allura and I have found evidence that it's real, I believe this will unlock the quintessence power to bring the galra together," Lotor told him smiling softly.
"You and Allura huh?" Lance sat on the bed crossing his legs. "Two alteans just hanging out?"
"Your not jealous are you?" Lotor looked at him confused as lance was tapping his finger against the beds silk sheets as Lotor took off his armor.
"No! I'm not jealous, I have nothing to worry about with you hanging out with a gorgeous altean princess, that holds the key to our empires peace, and is smart, pretty... confident, altean," Lance grumbled crossing his arms again.
"I'm not jealous!" He huffed and Lotor smiled a little.
"You have nothing to worry love, everyone knows of our relationship, and everyone knows my heart is smitten by you," Lotor walked to lance with a loving gaze.
"I know I know babe but just Allura.." lance stood up waving him off walking away.
"Allura isn't you," Lotor grabbed his shoulders gently from behind and stood against him as he kissed the top of lances head.
"She's literally every guy's dream, long pretty hair, flawless features, amazing eyes, hell I was crushing on her for a little," lance scoffed leaning into his arms a little.
"Are you sure I'm not the one that should be jealous then?" Lotor smiled down at him as Lance looked up.
"Your a prince and she's a princess, I'm just a general... I'm always someone's second choice," Lance looked away as he had his arms tight around his chest. Lotor swung him around and faced lance very seriously as he gripped his chin.
"You have always been my first choice, even before myself, Allura is only an allie, I could never love her nor think of her in that way as I know she once hit you, that is how no leader should be under any circumstance," Lotor told him sternly as lances eyes were wide.
"I only love you lance McClain, I don't know what loving anyone else would be like but I never want to know as long as your here," he looked at Lance with concern in his eyes as lance stared into his eyes bewildered but suddenly wrapped his arms around Lotors and buried his face in his neck.
"I'm so sorry for doubting you," lance whispered as Lotor picked him up around the waist and Lance wrapped his legs around his waist as Lotor secured him tightly.
"Don't apologize, I'd be worried if you didn't fear someone taking me away from you like that," Lotor smiled stroking the back of his neck and sat on the bed with lance in his lap.
"I love you," lance pulled away and smiled at Lotor.
"Te amo," Lotor smirked and Lance laughed kissing him softly as Lotor pulled him by the waist closer.
"But your still following a myth?" Lance pulled back confused scrunching up his face. "What did you do to my Lotor?"
Lotor kissed his neck softly as he held lances waist closer as let the human on him hold onto his hair softly as lance smiled at the tickling kisses.
"This isn't changing my mind," lance giggled at him. "I still think it's a wild goose chase,"
"But if it's real," Lotor kissed lower and Lance covered his mouth when he nipped his collarbone.
"If it's real I'll set up a nice date," Lance breathed smiling as Lotor continued to kiss his skin.
Lance growled and pushed him down smirking at Lotor as the princes eyes widen at him.
"But if it isn't, your planning the date, outside of the galra headquarters," he smirked down at him as he pinned Lotors wrists next to his head.
Lotor tried to smile but his heart began to pound when he couldn't get up, it wasn't Lance was that strong, just the way he was pinned, he felt suffocated. The heat of how battle was when his adrenaline pumped through his veins while his lover, his lance was out of his sight.
But he was to busy looking for zarkons attack.
"Get off!" Lotor suddenly shoved lance off and the general cried out hitting the floor on his back as Lotor was panting with wide eyes. He was already off the bed, pacing around with frantic eyes as he was gripping his chest.
"L-Lotor?" Lance gulped getting to his feet, ignoring the wind being knocked out of him.
"Lo! Hey," lance noticed his breathing was uneven as he was breathing to fast.
"Lotor hey, hey look at me," lance tried to stop him but Lotor suddenly grabbed his wrist and shoved lance to the ground with his arm pinned to his back to tight, as his shoulder could pop out of its socket.
"Lotor stop it! It's me!" Lance cried out. He swung his foot to kick Lotor back but before Lotor could defend himself Lance wrapped his arms around the galra tightly in an embrace.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please look, your okay," Lance whispered against his hair as Lotor was shaking in his arms.
"Your okay Lo, just breathe," Lance gulped as Lotor fell to his knees and hung onto lance tightly as he was pressing his face against lances abdominal and the human was standing.
"Your okay, I promise, you won," He soothed, combing his fingers through Lotors hair.
Then Lotor admitted something he would never if he knew he was truly safe.
"I-I'm s-so scared l-lance, I'm lost," he had a few tears escape as his eyes where tightly shut.
"I'll always be here Lo, your not alone," Lance brushed his hair out of his face. "Just breathe,"
——
"It's just an altean folk tale," coran stated as they all looked at Lotor. Lance looked up at him and nodded agreeing with coran. After last night, he was scared that Lotor could have another panic attack for something like this, but Lotor was also strong enough, he could handle himself for most part... just self care wasn't always one of them.
"That's what I thought but I believe it is quite real," Allura smiled holding a small rock with light green symbol and designs.
"It is the birth place of all altean alchemy, the place where king alfor learn the secrets that helped him create Voltron and where Allura will master those same secrets so that our ships may enter the quintessence field," Lotor told them all confidently motioning to lance as well.
"And what makes you the authority on altean alchemy, only alteans know that stuff," Matt crossed his arms.
"I am half altean, the only thing that stands in the way of truly having the galra loyalty was my blood but with this, the galra will come to terms for peace," Lotor smiled as Matt's jaw dropped with a small sound.
"King alfor never mentioned anything to me about traveling to oriande," coran put his hands on his hips.
"In all likelihood he kept it a secret from everyone, I have been researching oriande for centuries, hoping to learn more about my altean ancestry," Lotor looked at coran and the older altean huffed a little.
"Over time I've managed to gather evidence from all over the universe that hinted at its existence... now thanks to princess Allura I will finally gaze upon its magnificence with my own eyes," he explained and Allura had a soft smile on her face. Lance narrowed his eyes a little scooting closer to his boyfriend.
"Aren't you a little busy running your empire to go on your magical vacation?" Hunk raised his hand confused.
"I'm staying here as Lotor goes, the galra actually listen to me quite well," Lance pipped up.
"So the vacations waiting when we're not still busy bringing peace to the universe," he smiled at hunk smugly and hunk quirked an eye brow sticking his tongue out at his friend as lance crossed his eyes at him smirking.
"I need to open a pathway to the quintessence field, once our people have access to unlimited energy the old ways of the empire will be behind them as they already are starting to move forward, as lance says they respect him in such manner as he is only human with no galra blood, I see that as an improvement on our people's standards," Lotor nodded with his hands at his sides.
"Well, let's find out where we're going," Shiro let out a breath looking at Allura.
Allura held up the stone below the crystal and let the maps find the way to oriande as it navigates with the ships map and the stones. Soon it showed a solar system where oriande was.
"There, between those three celestial bodies," Allura pointed out. "That where we're headed,"
"Wait a tick, that's the pratrulian zone," coran said with worry.
"What?" Lance asked.
"The Pratrulian Zone is a mysterious part of space where ships enter but are never heard of again," he gulped and lance glared at Lotor.
"Oh is it now? Huh how odd," lance said sarcastically as Lotors ears went down not looking at him.
"That area has been deemed unsafe to navigate for ages," coran tried to reason.
"The perfect place to hide a magical world," Lotor crossed his arms as lances eye brow twitched as he could hear the stupid smirk on Lotors face.
"Or to crash and die," Pidge stated.
"We will approach with caution, prepare our course coran," Allura looked at the fellow altean. Coran looked at her for a moment but slowly agreed to her command.
