Abandoned

"Oww" I groan an intense pain in my head, using a brick wall beside me I manage to get to my feet. Looking around I realise that I'm no longer on the ship "that fucker." I hiss slamming a fist into the wall. A piece of yellow paper flutters down from my forehead and lands on the pavement, a message from Apex.

'Gone to visit my cousin Zenith. Good luck.'

"That absolute cunt. How dare he just leave me behind." Violently I kick the wall and pain shoots through my foot. Then I realise that I'm not wearing any shoes, or anything else for that matter. "Apex. I swear I'm going to kill you when I find you." At least he had the decency to leave my boxers on, he spared me that humiliation. The pain still rings through my skull, how much did I drink last night, wait. I didn't drink anything, did I? "Fuck, I can't remember anything. Probably best to find some clothes." Quickly I scuttle off to find something to wear.

Soon I find an unguarded washing line and I put the clothes on, they fit just right. Which is strange in itself but I decide not to argue with my luck. "What are you doing?" Someone asks as I finish buttoning up my shirt, I turn to face them. My own E/C gaze meets a single red eye, the other covered by a fringe of black hair. "What's it to you?" Silently I hope she's not the owner of these clothes, then I realise something, I'm in Japan. My speech patterns had automatically changed to Japanese. How did I not realise this before? "Hello? Are you listening?" She waves her hands in front of my face, must've drifted off. "I said it's nothing to me. But you know theft is a crime right?" She smiles lightly and cutely, a strange scent drifts over from her, something that many wouldn't notice but I do. "You're not human are you girlie?" I prepare myself, many take such exposure as a threat.

Instead she simply smiles "I'm impressed. How can you tell? If you don't mind me asking."

"Because I'm not human either. I'm a Spectre which I realise means absolutely nothing to you." I sigh "I'm   Y/N. You are?" I scratch the back of my head.

"I'm Kurumi." She grins, "can't say I have ever met a Spectre. Or even know what one is." Kurumi pouts her finger on her jawline. "Yeah you really don't need to know. I'll be going now." I smile and start to walk off, my new trousers kinda tight around the crotch. My feet still bare I tread along the street. "Where are you going?" She asks running after me.

"I have absolutely no idea. This is Japan right?" I ask.

"Yes, how can you not know where you are?"

"There was an incident with an insect called Apex. Do you know what dimension this is?" Her face turns into a loom of confusion "I don't understand."

I sigh, if there's no public knowledge of alternate dimensions then I must be in one of the infinite realities like that. This will take a while. A siren goes off and momentarily I freeze, everyone moves with a quickened pace and heads into underground shelters of some kind. "What's happening?" I ask scratching my chin.

"It's a spacequake. Most humans don't know how they're caused but turns out it's spirits." Kurumi informs me.

"Ah. Nice. Wait, did you say spacequake?" I remember something, only two hundred dimensions have spacequakes caused by spirits, well currently. "Yes I did. Why?"

"Fuck. Now I know where I am. That's good."

"I don't think I understand."

"You wouldn't, interdimensional physics are much different to normal physics." I turn to face her but she's gone. "Okay then." Wait, did she ever really exist. My eyes widen. "Of course she did don't be an idiot. I should probably work out which one of those two hundred I'm in." My senses kick in and I run to the scene of the spacequake.

When I finally get there I see a girl fending off a group of other girls in some kind of tech armour. Looking around I don't see anyone else "okay this narrows the options down to about twenty five." Quickly I'm noticed by the group. "Fuck." I mutter. The girl who is very obviously a spirit looks towards me with her dark eyes and long dark hair. In the midst of the fighting I almost don't notice the huge building that's going to land on my head, "why didn't the council grant me teleportation?" I complain using my arms to shield myself from the mass of concrete and glass. But I don't feel it, opening my eyes I realise the building has been sliced in half, looking up I see the spirit wielding a large sword. "Hi." I wave childishly making her blush. Now I realise the three choices that I have:

A) Stay and help the spirit. (Tohka option)

B) Help the attackers. (Origami option)

C) Leave. (Leaves your options open)
