we're honestly the dream team, let's take over the world
DAMON WAS CHAINED up in the cellar to keep him from attacking anyone as Echo and Stefan stood outside his cell.
Stefan was standing in his brother's direct line of vision with his arms crossed over his chest while Echo leaned up against the doorway with clenched teeth.
"She is brilliant," the blue eyed vampire grumbled, impressed after Echo was the one who pointed out that Elena wasn't herself. It soon led to the fact that it was Katherine in her body.
"We haven't noticed that Katherine's been inhabiting Elena's body for weeks, and that's all you have to say?" Stefan questioned incredulously as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
Damon paused for a moment to think before nodding with a blank face. "Yup."
Echo slammed her fist against the wall and huffed. "Why can't we get rid of her? She is so annoying." She pursed her lips. "I am going to kill her when we figure out how to not harm Elena in the process."
Stefan rolled his eyes and turned to his brother. "So, your little murder spree with Enzo, where you, uh, killed Aaron, you nearly killed Jeremy, and you tried to kill Wes, but you got infected with that ripper virus. That had nothing to do with Katherine?"
"Not everything is about that bitch!" Echo spat out in disgust. She hated Stefan so much. Not only did he sleep with Rebekah after she tried to kill her and Elena, but he also slept with Katherine who tried to kill them all. He truly is sick.
"She's right," Damon answered with a tight-lipped smile. "I'm trying figure out why you decided to tell a starving, bloodthirsty, vampire-feeding Ripper that his nemesis is still walking around, alive and well, while I'm stuck in this cell and can't do anything about it," he snapped at him with a bitter and sarcastic smile.
"I have it under control," Stefan answered while glaring at them.
The couple glanced at each other and laughed before Damon gave his sibling an unconvinced yet amused expression. "I would love to hear this."
Echo snorted. "Says the Ripper who can't control himself over a drop of blood." She rolled her eyes.
Instead of answering, Stefan bit his wrist and dribbled his blood into a glass as Damon watched him in confusion and hunger. "What are you doing?"
He then offered the cup to Damon with a blank face. "Here you go. Drink."
Damon snatched the glass from him immediately and chugged the contents in one gulp. Once he was done, he licked his lips hungrily and stared at Stefan. "I need more."
"Too bad," the youngest brother responded with a shrug and took the glass from him.
"That was nothing!" Damon snarled viciously in impatience as his face vamped out.
"That was exactly four ounces. When you were out killing vampires, you said one vampire kept you good for eight hours," Stefan explained then smiled knowingly. "So, our friend Caroline did a little bit of math."
Damon looked at him in worry and disbelief. "Caroline?"
Stefan sighed. "Relax, she had a calculator. So: four ounces, three times a day should be just enough to help you manage the hunger."
Echo frowned deeply. "Are you both trying to call my best friend dumb?" She huffed angrily. "She literally memorized a whole book just to get into Mr. Douche's class."
"Manage me?" Damon asked, ignoring his girlfriend who rose a brow at him.
"So you don't rip anyone's head off." Stefan clarified while rolling his eyes. "We'll deal with your crisis once we get Elena back."
"I'll deal with my own crisis. Listen, you just let me out of here, I'll find Wes, I'll get the antidote," Damon offered up his idea. He didn't want to be stuck in a cell while the group ran around trying to save Elena. He wanted to be there to help them rescue his friend.
"And then what? Huh? You skip town to leave us with this mess?" Stefan asked rhetorically with a scoff.
Echo growled and punched Stefan in the face. "Damon is more reliable thank you are, assbutt. And the only reason you're acting high and mighty right now is because he's currently chained up which means it'll make you look like a hero to Elena. Well, let me tell you something, buddy-boy, Elena doesn't love you anymore. And she'll never choose you. Not again. Not after what you put her through."
Stefan looked up at her, his cracked lip she gave him healing. He wiped away the blood with his sleeve and stood up straighter, glaring at her. He then pulled out his phone and began dialing someone.
Damon watched him curiously while pulling on his chains. "Who you calling there, buddy?"
"Katherine's been making a lot of excuses, and I have a feeling she won't be able to say no to me," Stefan arrogantly explained when Damon's phone suddenly started ringing in his pocket. "It's your phone. "Elena" is calling. Answer it."
He took the phone from his brother and answered it, "Elena, hey."
"Hey, um, how are you?" Katherine answered awkwardly from the other end.
"Oh, you know, strung up, hungry, same old same old," he responded sarcastically while glancing at the two people in front of him.
"Now that the dust has settled, I was hoping that, I don't know, maybe... we can talk about what happened at the farm house. Can I see you?" The doppelgänger questioned curiously.
He nodded to himself and leaned against the wall. "Okay. Sure. Why don't you just come to the house and we'll just talk about it here?"
"Perfect. I'll see you soo," Katherine quickly said as though she was in a rush to get off the phone.
"Okay, bye," Damon responded before hanging up the phone.
Echo crossed her arms over her chest in confusion. "That doesn't make any sense. She's dodged anyone's attempt to try to get her over here, and now she voluntarily wants to come over?" Her eyes then widened. "She knows Damon cares too much about Elena to allow her to be anywhere near him in this form." She knew Damon and Elena considered each other best friends. "She was testing you." She clenched her jaw angrily. "She knows that we know."
A FEW HOURS later, while Tyler watched over Damon in the cellar, Echo was in the parlor, sharpening her knives. While everyone else was trying to lure Katherine in, she was trying to come up with a plan to hunt the bitch down.
She knows she can't hurt Katherine without making Elena hurt, but if she got the bitch cornered, it would make her feel a little better. Especially after everything the bitch had put her, her family, and friends through.
Suddenly, a blur sped towards her and picked her up before she could register and sped her out of the Salvatore house. But, because she had a knife in her hand, she was quick to slice at the person.
Though, she didn't have time to hit them because she was suddenly dropped on the ground. She rolled for a second before stopping and looking up at the person with wide eyes. "What the hell?!" She exclaimed, panting. "Why didn't you just tell me it was you?" She huffed as she stood up, tucking her knife into her belt loop. "How the hell did you even get out?"
"All I had to do was push wolf boy's buttons enough and I knew he'd act out of rage," the Salvatore answered with a smug smirk.
Echo smirked and looked her boyfriend up and down. "Tyler is stupid." She took a step towards him and licked her lips. "You look so hot with all this blood on your chin."
Damon groaned and licked his lips. "What I wouldn't give to fuck you up against a tree right now." He swallowed thickly. "But I don't want to risk you getting hurt, not while I have this virus in me."
She nodded slowly. "Is that why we're at Whitmore?"
He smirked and his eyes darkened. "Do you want to lend a hand in killing Professor Wes Douchefield dead?"
Her own facial expression darkened: "abso-fucking-lutely."
"Good!" He exclaimed and they shared a look before speeding into the school.
Inside his lab, Wes was holding up a syringe that was filled with an orange liquid. He then smiled and put it in a case when suddenly, he heard noises nearby. "Hello?" He grabbed his phone about to call someone.
Damon appeared up behind him and destroyed his phone by throwing it on the floor before smirking. "What's up, doc?"
Wes looked at him confusioned and slightly afraid. "How did you find me?"
"I called my friend Enzo and asked him about the little adventure he had with you. Gotta say, long way off the tenure track, huh? I take it the Augustine Society hit a bit of a rough streak?" Damon questioned menacingly and paced in front of him like a dog waiting to pounce.
"There is no Augustine Society, Damon. It's just me," the doctor explained with a heavy disappointed sigh.
"Well then, I guess you're my guy!" The blue eyed vampire remarked with a deep chuckle, then took a step towards him. "Because, you see, I have this long road ahead of me to win my girlfriend's trust back. But, I dont have a chance in hell if I'm lusting over all of her friends' blood, you follow?"
"Even if I did cure you of this virus, what difference does it make? So you stop feeding off your friends and you go back to feeding on innocent people. Is that really going to impress Echo Gilbert?" Wes questioned with a smug smile, thinking he had Damon beat.
"Actually, my last name is Winchester." Echo suddenly appeared behind him with a knife at his throat. "And for your information, Damon is a vampire with amazing self-control. If you want to worry about anyone feeding on innocents, well, that'd be his little brother."
Damon chuckled and smirked at her before grabbing Wes by the shirt and vamping out. "Look at me! You did this to me."
He struggled against the vampire's hold, his eyes wide. "I didn't do this to you! You are this. I simply held up the mirror."
"It wasn't even his choice to become this, that is also his brothers fault!" Echo snapped angrily.
The Salvatore then harshly jammed his hand inside Wes, pinning him to the table causing the Winchester to grimace slightly. "It's my turn to play doctor," Damon darkly mused and reached for the scapel before cutting into Wes' eye.
Wes screamed in pure agony as blood splattered onto Damon's face. Echo's eyes widened in surprise, but she wasn't about to back out now. It's a good thing for Damon to get out his anger now, and who is she to tell him no? This was a man that was part of an organization that tortured him for years on end with no remorse or sympathy.
AFTER WES DIED painfully, the couple found their way back to the Salvatore house hours later, only to see Katherine trying to escape the trap the group set for her.
Echo sped forward and slammed her into the wall by her neck. "Hello, dopplewhore." She then smirked and flung her into the living room where everyone was standing. The bitch landed in front of them all.
Katherine stood up and looked at the group circling around her. She knew what was coming. "Okay. So... who's got the knife? Which one of you is gonna get to kill the elusive Katherine Pierce once and for all?" She waited for someone to speak, but everyone was silent. "What? Suddenly everyone's speechless? When I was on my deathbed you all had plenty to say."
She snarled as she approached the Lockwood. "Is it you, Tyler? Because I triggered the werewolf curse? Gave you an identity and made you matter?"
He glared at her. "You've done nothing for me."
"Oh please, Tyler. If I hadn't walked into your life you just be a wasted nobody with a boozy mom and a temper problem," she m taunted him with a devious smirk.
Tyler began to take a step towards Katherine, but Caroline stopped him. "Hey, don't, don't," she whispered to him to keep him calm.
Katherine chuckled then turned to her. "And you. I'm not worried about you offing me. Because we both know I made you better by making you a vampire."
Caroline gave the doppelgänger a forced smile. "Goodbye Katherine."
"Bye, bye Caroline," she dismissed her before walking over to Matt. "The one girl here who actually appreciates how beautiful you are. You wouldn't stab me in the heart, would you, Matty Blue? No, I don't think so. You will definitely go down as the best night I never had. Oh, well..."
"Oh, well..." Matt repeated dully as he stared at her.
She nodded then walked over to Jeremy. "Well, little Gilbert, it was nice to have a brother for a second there...when you weren't being so damn annoying," she commented, rolling her doe brown eyes before glancing at Bonnie. "Bon Bon, no need for goodbyes. I'll see you on the flip side," she joked the strolled over to the eldest Salvatore. "Damon. How you would love nothing more than to drive that blade right through me."
He looked over and gave her a bitter smile. "We've already done that, Kitty Kat. I've said all I needed to say."
"I know but I never got to say what I needed to say to you. I'm sorry. You blame me for who you are. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I turned you. I'm sorry that you didn't get to die as a forgotten nobody on a bloody battlefield, and your father didn't get to live another day to be disgraced by you. Damon, I'm sorry that I gave you a life purpose. Pass—"
Damon cut her off with a growl. "You didn't give me anything. The only one who did is the beautiful huntress that is currently holding my hand." He looked over at his girlfriend who looked up at him with love in her brown eyes.
The doppelwhore rolled her eyes at him and turned to his brother. "Stefan. You know, I've always wondered how it would be like to be loved by you. You've gotta admit, for that one fleeting moment....your feelings were real. It's truly has been the role of a lifetime. Stefan, I love you. And I've always loved you," she expressed sincerely.
Katherine then turned to Jack. "Oh, honey, I'm sorry I broke your little heart. But, it's not like you have much of a chance with her anyway. I mean, you're a little baby with no powers anymore."
Dean glared angrily at her as he set a comforting hand on Jack's shoulder. "Shut your mouth now, bitch!"
Katherine smirked and looked at the father of her enemy. "You... Dean with the beautiful green eyes. Oh how I would've loved sleeping with you." The older man grimaced in disgust at the thought. It wasn't because Elena wasn't hot, it was because she was practically his daughter. She rolled her eyes and turned to Sam and Castiel. "I have nothing to say to either of you." And then lastly, she turned to the glaring Winchester with a hesitant look on her face. "Oh, Echo"
Said girl rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "What? You're not sorry that you killed me and turned me into a vampire? Because I already know that."
Katherine rolled her eyes at the younger Gilbert twin. "No. I was going to say that I did like you in the beginning. You reminded me of me... well, until you tried to kill me."
"Yeah, after you killed and turned my best friend, was the reason why my aunt was turned and used in Klaus' ritual. Let's not even get started on the fact about how big of a bitch you are. You used Stefan and Damon, broke my boyfriends heart, en-tombed a dozen vampires just so you could be free, killed my brother, killed me, tried to kill all my friends... I could literally go on forever." Echo then clenched her jaw. "I am nothing like you because you're a pathetic bitch who only cares about herself." She took a threatening step towards the bitch with a heated glare. "I hope you burn in hell fire!"
Harshly, Echo kicked Katherine in the stomach, knocking her backwards. She then lunges forward, and stabbed Katherine harshly with the Traveller's knife. "Goodbye, Katherine."
"Damn!" Dean whistled loudly and clapped his hands together, proud of his daughter.
"Then I guess this is how... my life ends," Katherine whispered painfully back before falling down.
Matt caught her so she wouldn't fall to the ground. He laid her against the couch and everyone watched as Katherine closed her eyes and opened to reveal blackness. Then, they closed and reopened again, showing them Elena was back. And just like that, she passed out.
Echo bent down and gently moved her sisters hair out of her face. "Welcome back, 'Lena."
