5. New Roommate
"I'll tell you, jail is no fun."
"You've been to jail?"
"Once upon a time in Monopoly~"

"W-what's behind me?"
"Uh..."
"Stop playing Hyung! Tell me!" Jungkook shrieked.
"Uh..."
Jungkook's patience was running thin so he just decided to turn around and see it for himself.
Bad decision.
He jumped ever so slightly when he saw what was behind him.
A cockroach.
"Seriously Hyung I'll add onions and oil on the pan and fry you." Jungkook threatened.
"You first have to marinate me-"
"Hyung we better go, the spirit is still roaming," Jimin suggested.
"Right." Jin shuffled and provided space for Jungkook to crawl.
Jungkook looked back once more and entered the passageway.
But what he didn't notice was a pair of auburn-colored eyes staring intently at him.

"That was intense!"
"I know right." Jin wiped fake sweat off his forehead.
"You didn't even do any of the work other than acting like a psychic."
"I found the door!"
"Well, I moved the boxes so you could see the door!"
"You were hiding like a coward!" Jin argued.
"Guys guys stop bickering we have better things to debate about." Jungkook interfered.
"Yeah, whatever." Jin crossed his arms like a pissed-off-looking baby.
"Wait, Jungkook. What happened in the bathroom?" Jimin asked.
"Uh..."
--FLASHBACK--
"Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary."
Silence.
"What was the next step aah...right."
He spun three times to his right.
Nothing.
Honestly, this stillness is scaring him out of his wits.
He gulped and spun to his left.
Quiet.
He breathed out harshly and leaned down to blow out the candles. But as he was about to blow them...
...He saw something.
He backed away slightly and looked in the mirror.
His features were distorting and twisting. It was a disturbing sight to see but he stayed adamant.
He blinked but his reflection didn't.
It remained stoic as if he was just staring at his wax statue.
Unmoving and still.
His heart was telling him to run but his brain commanded him to stay where he was standing and see what was happening.
His reflection's mouth was dripping with blood and it's eyes turned black.
No sign of human was noticed.
It's skin turned paler than paper and it's hair turned raven.
Jungkook touched his hair and was relieved to see his ash highlights.
The background behind his reflection turned into a vortex of memories.
His first school day.
His first tattoo.
His graduation day.
His first test he failed.
All of them bittersweet moments but sort of erupted a warm feeling in him.
But the demon standing between definitely discarded all of them.
He backed more until he reached the door. His shoulder bones clashing against the wooden door as he tried to unlock the door.
He maintained eye-contact with the hideous looking monster because he was scared something would happen if he broke it.
Click.
"Oof-"
His reflection morphed into a girl he believed he saw somewhere but he didn't know where.
It was that moment when you know her face but you don't know her name.
But Jungkook wasn't worried about that.
He was worrying about his poor heart that was about to burst any moment.
He unlocked the door and made a run for it without looking back.
But there was a problem.
It wasn't the room where his friends were would be waiting for him. Instead, it was a long dark hallway with a brown door at the end of it.
He took one glance back.
Uh-oh
A girl was standing there tilting her head to her side.
She smiled, her teeth on display that creeped Jungkook out.
Nothing about that smile seemed sweet or cute, it was just evil and sinister.
The ends of her long white dress was ripped and he could make out the wounds of scratches and lashes.
Her lower abdomen had a big splotch of red over it and her hair was messy and brownish. The dark circles under her eyes contrasted with her pearly-white skin.
She looked so helpless and fragile but also wicked at the same time.
Just as Jungkook's nerves came to work, the girl started floating.
He couldn't believe what he saw, he was even convinced that he is just seeing a bad dream and he would wake up any minute now.
He's just living a nightmare, nothing could hurt him.
She let out an ear-piercing scream which blinded all of his senses. Ut had so much power to drift people from their place.
It felt like her scream was of pure frustration and anger that was bottled up in her for God knows how much time.
Jungkook turned his heels and began to run.
Even if he believed he was seeing a dream, he couldn't deny the fact that this scene was scaring him.
Just imagine a freaking ghost in front of you and your parents ain't there.
Chills.
He ran and ran on the pathway to the seemingly endless corridor.
The door looked only farther and farther away from him. The ghost was gaining on him and he certainly didn't want that. As if he was running on a treadmill.
Suddenly the ground began to shake and he saw a piece of floor falling into the deep depths of nothingness.
Another part.
Jungkook increased his speak and almost broke into a smile when he saw he was reaching the door.
He finally got the grip of the handle and tried turning it...
...but it didn't open.
"What?!"
He tried turning the door handle again but in vain.
"Oh c'mon!"
The girl was so close to him and Jungkook never felt that much panic rising up.
Click.
"Oh thank God!" He pushed open the door, the girl barely made it to him before she was taken down by another falling floor.
Jungkook was taken aback as he saw the missing flooring with a heaving chest. The sweat trickled down his skin. As he calmed down, he wiped his forehead and began to walk towards the outside but the floor underneath him fell.
"AHHHHH!!"
Jungkook's hand was stuck up at the edge of the doorstep. He flunged his other arm and grasped onto the ledge.
The sweat making it slippery and hard for him to hold onto for wrong.
He decided to take one glance down and that's when he knew he made a mistake.
There was nothing down there.
Just a dark void that contained something he doesn't want to know. But whatever it is, he was sure he didn't wanted to fall down.
His fingers were slipping one by one and he can't risk holding his whole weight on his ten little fingers.
He struck his arm on the floor and tried to push his mass upwards. He managed to keep his knee off the cliff.
The other hand was dangerously close to falling but he grabbed the floor by flipping his other arm on it.
But...
...someone grabbed his foot.
"Gosh what the flippity floppity frack happened?!"
The grip was pulling him downwards and he felt do scared to point that he would piss his pants.
He started kicking his hanging leg into numerous directions hoping that the grip would atleast loosen but not all good things happen in life.
Life is a bitch, teach it lessons.
Jungkook stopped kicking when he heard and inhumane growl. He looked down to be met with a grinning girl whose face he despised so much.
She was playfully tugging at his leg and Jungkook swore he would break those teeth off hers after he's on solid ground.
He roared back causing the girl's venomous sneer to falter but she snarled with so much force that Jungkook started to feel dizzy.
When his mind was clear, he dis something that he wouldn't ever do to a girl in his whole life.
He kicked her in the face.
The girl fell down with yapping noises and Jungkook breathed a sigh of relief.
He slowly got up from the edge and started to run towards the door. The floor under him began to shake and Jungkook had a last chance of getting out if this hell hole.
The floor started to shake violently and Jungkook ran for his life.
It's now or never.
He flung into action by jumping high up into the air and crossed the open door just in time the floor to fall down.
And the next thing he knew, a mad ghost was chasing them.
--FLASHBACK END--
"Nothing much just you know, following the rules..." Jungkook nervously laughed.
Jimin squinted his eyes but nodded nevertheless.
"Still doesn't explain the fact that a flipping ghost roaming in our house."
"Uh..."
"Guys it's already pretty late and I think we should sleep right now." Jin suggested.
"But Yoongi-"
"That traitor can rot outside." Jin tsked.
"I don't wanna sleep alone." Jimin pouted.
"Who said we are, today we all will sleep together in my room." Jin concluded and git up dusting his pants.
"I'm sure that ghost is a prank of Namjoon since he didn't get to shift in with us."
"Yeah, he can do shit with holograms." Jimin shuddered reminiscing about the embarrassing moments when they were in the university dorms.
But only Jungkook knew how much of a hologram it really was.

"Kook you get the pillows and blankets from your room and Jimin you get the extra pillows from the couch and your room. We're gonna make a pillow fort."
"Are you sure that will be enough?" Jungkook asked. His expression was like he got poop stuck up his ass.
"Yes, I have a whole cupboard dedicated to pillows and fluffy blankets." Jin stated proudly.
Jungkook's right eye was twitching.
"Cool."
He turned and left to go to his room. Even though the ghost was not crazily running after 'em, he still felt a little scared of dark long hallways.
His room was to the left hallway next to Yoongi's. There was a stair case leading downstairs at the start of the Hall and there lead a path to Jin and Jimin's room.
Just to say, Jungkook was travelling alone tonight.
His room was getting closer and closer by each second and Jungkook couldn't be more happier.
He turned the knob and thankfully, it opened.
He's in bad luck with doors today.
The door creaked and he looked up.
He totally didn't expect who was sitting on his bed.
"Oh hello there!"
"You! You were the girl I kicked in the face!"
