'' synopsis ,,

SUPERHEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PUBLIC FIGURES, AND THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA ALWAYS KNEW THAT WAS GOING TO COME BACK AND BITE THEM IN THE ASSES SOMEDAY... THEY JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS GOING TO be so soon. Then they (well it was mostly J'onn, Dinah and Diana, but Clark had been encouraging them to make things more of a team effort so they treat it like it was a team effort) came up with the idea of using some of their respective sidekicks to carry out missions that they couldn't. Especially since governments around the world were tying their hands behind their backs with thinly veiled lies and red tape, and the public was always watching them. Surprisingly Bruce Wayne was the one to disagree. Eventually he came around, but it still confused the fuck out of anyone who didn't really know Gotham's infamous Dark Knight or why he would be reluctant to send his two children and godchildren on missions without him being there to bail them out. And while the Justice League was assembling their sidekicks for the greater good of the planet, the Light was assembling young apprentices to do the exact opposite.

The Joker has never been a criminal mastermind. Vandal Savage, however, has been for centuries. This Light of his is the latest in a long line of plans to ready the planet for its prophesied final battle with Apokolips — not to mention a way of fulfilling an ancient deal with an agent of chaos. But it wasn't until the Joker mentioned how annoying it was that his favorite pawn had been arrested by the Dark Knight and his four little squires, that a new plan formed in the caveman's mind. Why not use the next generation of evil to distract the already stretched pretty thin Justice League from their real plan?

'' rules for applying! ,,

before y'all apply we got to lay down some ground rules abt how much I'm going to screw around with young justice canon, canon characters you can't make love interests for, and shit like that.

one, please be kind to your fellow appliers and me!! homophobia of any kind will not be tolerated, especially since I'm going to make all the canon characters queer anyways. and if you have a problem with me screwing around with certain parts of canon (ie me removing green lantern guy gardner from this universe), this is not the book for you. password one:: your oc's favorite hero / villain. also if you don't like polyamorous characters too bad so sad my girl Priya is polyam and I will not tolerate any Priya Wayne slander.

two, your oc must be a teenager or a young adult (so like 14 to 19), so like high school or early college age. exceptions to this rule would be aliens, characters who are partially immortal or even fully immortal characters. aliens mostly bc who doesn't like aliens, and bc it's canon in young Justice and the greater dc universe that aliens don't follow the human rules of how ages work (just look at m'gann & j'onn for fuck's sake). your faceclaims for your characters should be around the same age, like 14 to 23. no 30-somethings playing teenagers we're not netflix. 

three, you can apply up to three or four times, one of which must be a male character, and at least one of which should be an apprentice. also be aware of the passwords. if you don't have all the passwords, I won't know you read all the rules. password two:: your oc's favorite color. 

four, be original when coming up with origins / powers! make up whole alien races, murder entire fictional families if you must. and if ur oc is human / of earth origin, please be original with where they come from / live. I know all my characters are Gotham based but that doesn't mean yours have to be. have some fun with it, yeah? (if y'all want I can make a list of fictional cities for y'all to use)

five, canon characters that are not allowed as love interests! well it's really only a few canon characters but still. one, Billy Batson / Captain Marvel. why you may ask? BC HES A CHILD?! like he's literally ten years old in season one, he's off the dating map. two, pretty much all the Captain Marvel / Shazam supporting characters (including Freddy Freeman). this isn't the Shazam movies y'all. password three:: what does your character think of my ocs Nyssa, Priya & Victoria? three, anyone from later seasons. sorry I'm only looking for characters from this season only. so no having Gar Logan, Tim Drake, Jaime Reyes, Stephanie Brown or anyone else from any of the later seasons as love interests. why? well one I am a HUGE bluepulse shipper, and two, I want to encourage mostly oc x oc pairings, especially bc the apprentices are probably not going to interact with the Team much at first, and even then they'll probably all fight lol.

this is the product of my ever present young justice brainrot, and Irene & my roleplays lmao. everyone go thank Irene for inspiring me to do this. 

it's been so long since I did an apply fic, and I'm really hoping the fact that this is actually based off of a show I can go & binge whenever I'll have enough motivation to actually finish it lmao.

ngl I just really wanted to show off my baby Nyssa Fox-Koh (you'll meet her in another chapter), who despite being like week old has my heart. and ofc I needed to use my girl Priya Wayne, and I revamped Victoria "Vicious" King (who some of you might know better as Josie King / The Black Queen 👀) bc she fit the plot so well.

also Zatanna Zatara is bisexual argue with the wall if you disagree.
