Dani's POV

I don't understand why Lisa is on Lauren's side about this. Lauren could have killed her. And almost killed Alex. How could she even look at Lauren? Lauren was so close to murdering family. And no one is supposed to mess with family. Why does she think I'm being so harsh? She hurt family. I don't care if I have these dumb feelings for her, family comes first, Lisa and Alex are family.

So what if I like her. So what if I liked the way her dumb hair blows in the wind. So what if I like the way her stupid crooked fingers fit with mine. Or if I want to kiss her stupid face. Ugh, she just so stupid.

And Lisa is stupid for wanting me to be civil with her. Civil. Yeah, cause that what she did when she challenged her. Lisa kept it real civil.

I heard a light knock on my door "Come in" I say just above a whisper

"Hey" Elli says walking in shutting the door behind her. I just look at her as if to ask why she is here. "I know I'm one of the last people you wanna see right"

I scoff "Bit of a understatement"

"But I'm here to make sure your alright. Lisa and Lauren both told me what happened. And how you have been treating Lauren ever since" she says sitting next to me "I get it your angry but, honestly Dan you have no one to blame but yourself."

"How about I blame the universe" I say

"The universe really?" she asks

"Yeah, the universe made me love Lauren and lose her as a friend. The cursed us and made us bond for life. And the the universe made me kiss Lisa and develop feelings for her" I say

"Not the universes fault. You know, a wise person once told me that I didn't need love to make me happy. And that I couldn't love until I knew myself" she says "You know who that person was?"

"Whats the point?" I ask

"My best friend. Who shouldn't be proclaiming she loves two people when she barely even know herself" she says

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that you should forgive Lauren and be friends with her. And only be friend with Lisa. And when the time comes you'll know who you want and who you belong with. Stop leading them on. Saying you love them both even if you do because right now isn't your time to love. Right now is your time to get to know yourself. Explore the world. Live and be a free teenage not caring about the weights that are on your shoulders" she says

I look at her "You really are a great friend you know that"

"I mean, I may have be told once or twice" she says smiling

"Alright miss cocky, what do you say to Ice Cream?" I ask

"I say, lets go as long as we invite Lisa and Lauren and you have a long conversation and apologize to them both" she tell me

"Deal"
