POV: Irene

"Ahhh! I'm gonna die!" I said looking in the mirror.

I couldn't find an outfit that didn't make me look like a whore.

I have to try to look actually nice for my spicy nice girl.

"Irene. It's not that big of a deal. I'm dead you get one rich girl girlfriend and look at you. A hot fucking mess." Yeri said from my bed that was super messy and had clothes.

The outfit rejects.

"Shut the fuck up or I'll tell your crush you like them." I told her.

She shut up real quick.

Yeri has been my next door neighbors since we were two badass kids.

Both of us getting our ass beat by her mom.

We didn't get away with shit yet we did the same dumb shit.

And I'm proud to say we haven't changed a bit.

"Damn fuck off" She said before looking up at the ceiling. Clearly bored.

I was ridiculously nervous. My heart was beating so fast and my palms were sweaty.

After that I tried on one more outfit and was very satisfied. I thought it made me look like a nice girl. A very pretty nice girl.

"I'm taking away your bad bitch card. You don't deserve it." She told me.

"Shut up." I said looking at myself in the mirror.

I looked okay but I had figured a second opinion wouldn't hurt. So for better or for worse I decided to turn around to Yeri.

"What do you think?" I asked her.

She looked me up and down carefully.

"Umm.. you look different. Not bad though... Your square oughtta like it." She told me. I ignored the fact that she used the term square and nodded.

I was wearing a crop top with a jean jacket and some jean pants. I had also put my hair in a ponytail.

I thought I looked pretty okay but who knows what Jennie will think I just hope she'll like it. I put a lot of thought into it. I don't usually wear things like it but I actually feel really pretty right now.

"I like it." I said quietly to myself.

Maybe I should dress like this more often.

"You can go home now." I told her.

"Wha-what?! That's ALL you called me for?" She complained loudly. She's always loud. I don't think she ever talks at a normal volume.

"Yes she'll be here any minute and you are very embarrassing!" I said while pulling her off my bed.

She groaned and made sure to be as difficult as possible.

"Bitch get up!" I said shoving her harder.

She ended up falling on the ground somehow and of course she just had to make a scene. Literally the biggest baby ever.

"Yeri! Get out! She'll be here any minute you complete ass!" I screamed. She just laughed at me. Way too hard. I need a best friend who's not an asshole.

Thank goodness Seulgi exist.

"No I'm gonna introduce myself!"

"NOOO YOU AREN'T!" I growled. Which only made her laugh 5 times harder.

Almost on que the door bell rang. We both gasped and froze. As soon as we made eye contact she smirked at me and started running.

At that point I knew that the little shit was on her way to fuck shit up.

I hate her! I hate her! I hate her!!!

Sadly she reached the door first but luckily I pushed her out of the way before she could actually say words. I may have pushed her a little harder than I meant to but... She's fine.

She's a big girl.

However because she is dramatic and a brat she had to make a sense. And with Jennie being an angel of course she was worried. 

"I-is she okay?" She asked me with big curious eyes that made my heart go dugeun dugeun dugeun!

"Who?"

"Her on the ground." She said pointing to Yeri.

I blink wordlessly at my friend groaning on the ground. The I turned back to Jennie.

"She's completely fine."

"I'm dying!" I heard my friend say from behind me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Are you sure she's-"

"Let's get going shall we?" I asked her while grabbing her hand.

"Bye Yeri! Get off the fucking ground and out of my fucking house! Love you bye!"

"Nooo a horror movie?!" I complained while leaning on Jennie.

"I can't believe you out of all people are scared of horror movies."

"Jump scares always get me!" I explain nervously as we walked to the theater hand in hand.

"Well I don't think Midsommar has a lot of jumpscares. I did hear it's really scarry though. I honestly didn't think you'd be one to find them scarry!"

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I said shoving her.

She laughed at me and I couldn't help but smile too.

"I have tons of fears!"

"Oh how could you tough girl?" She said coming close to me again.

"I hate spiders, thunder, clowns, jumpscares, and a bunch more stuff." I listed off to her.

She nodded.

"Oh so you hate when crawl allllll the on way on your shoulder and make their way up to your ear in your sleep?" She asked teasingly.

But I couldn't help but imagine a spider living in my ear. Walking around in their tickling me. While I'm completely helpful because it's in me!

"Jennie~" I whinnied to her.

She laughed and wrapped her arm around me.

"Don't worry I'll protect you." She said proudly.

I scoffed.

"Goofy." I said sticking my tongue out at her.

Then we went into the movie and I was feeling really nervous because I really don't watch scarry movies. I can't chicken out though.

"Is this movie really that scarry." I said swallowing a lump in my throat. 

"Yeah it is." She said before looking at me frowning.

"I'm sorry." She said grabbing my hand.

The previews were over.

"If you're so worried just get closer to me." She said pulling me to lay on her shoulder.

I took a deep breath and started doing nervous habits to try and get myself to calm down.

The movie went on and I was doing really bad because not much was happening but I couldn't stop worrying about when something would.

And then something did and it was terrible.

"Jennie!" I whined loudly while holding her arm tightly and hiding behind

She ran her fingers through my hair gently and there were surprisingly no hints of laughter unlike earlier.

"Just don't look I'll tell you when it's over." She whispered in my ear.

So I didn't look.

"Jennie."

"What?"

"I'm bored now."

"Do you just wanna go eat?" She asked me.

I shook my head vigorously.

"You spent money on this. I can stay." I said pouting.

Jennie shrugged.

"You're not having fun. It's not even worth it." She said pointing right back.

I stayed silent not really knowing what I want. On one side Jennie did choose this movie for us to watch together... So we should watch it together.

However I just can't watch it. I hate scarry movies. However I could still stay for her.

"Come on we could spend our time doing something fun together." She pointed out.

And she had a point.

"Okay fine."

"Okay?"

"Yeah okay." I clarified.

She smiled at me and grabbed my hand.

"Come on. We can have fun."
