Chapter 9: Bowling
Felic invited Ella to bowl with her and her friends since it's almost her birthday and Ella immediately said yes. Ella teases Felic about not giving her enough time to get her a present.
Felic grinned playfully at Ella's teasing remark. "Oh, don't you worry," she replied with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "I have a feeling that spending time with you is going to be the best birthday present I could ask for."
Ella chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Smooth, Felic. Very smooth. But seriously, I'll think of something special for you."
As they continued their playful banter, Felic couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement for her upcoming birthday celebration. The thought of spending time with Ella and their friends brought a warmth to her heart. It was a chance to create lasting memories and strengthen the bond they were building.

The day of the bowling outing arrived, and Felic eagerly awaited Ella's arrival. When Ella walked through the doors of the bowling alley, Felic's eyes lit up, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness. She knew that this day would be filled with laughter, friendly competition, and, most importantly, the joy of being surrounded by the people she cared about.
Ella gave Felic her present even if she didn't have to, but Felic didn't open it yet. She just introduced her friends.
Felic introduced her friends, Julia, Sam, and Azur, to Ella with a warm smile. "Ella, these are my dear friends, Julia, Sam, and Azur. We've been through so much together, and they're like family to me."
Ella greeted them with a friendly smile, feeling a sense of excitement and warmth in Felic's words. "It's great to meet all of you. Felic has told me so much about your friendship, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it now."
Julia, a hotheaded and fiery friend, chimed in "Nice to meet you..." Julia was still skeptical about Ella and she was still up to believe she was a straight girl.
Azur nodded and extended a hand. "Welcome to our group, Ella. Felic means the world to us, and it's wonderful to see her so happy with you."
Sam, the calm and observant member of the group, offered a friendly nod of acknowledgment, silently conveying their acceptance and support.
As they settled into their bowling lanes, the group's camaraderie and shared laughter filled the air. Felic couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for the friendships she had cultivated over the years. With Ella by her side, she knew this gathering would be even more special.
Throughout the game, Felic's friends warmly engaged with Ella, getting to know her better and making her feel like a welcomed addition to their close-knit circle. The bonds of friendship strengthened as they cheered each other on, shared lighthearted jokes, and celebrated each other's successes.
Felic found herself stealing glances at Ella, appreciating the genuine connection they had formed. She was grateful for her friends' acceptance and support, knowing that they could sense the happiness Ella brought into her life.
Felic leaned in closer to Ella and whispered, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "You know, I have a little secret to share. I think Julia and Azur have feelings for each other, but they haven't realized it yet."
Ella's smirk mirrored Felic's as she whispered back, "Just like us, huh? It seems like there's a lot of hidden connections and unspoken emotions in this group."
Felic chuckled softly with a blush, her eyes gleaming with affection. "Seems like it. But you know what? It's a beautiful thing to discover those connections and explore the depths of our feelings together."
Ella nodded, her gaze locked with Felic's. "Absolutely. It's like uncovering hidden treasures, piece by piece. I'm glad we're on this journey together."
Their shared understanding and playful banter brought a sense of closeness between them, further solidifying the bond they were building. In that moment, they knew that their connection was something special, just like the unspoken connection brewing between Julia and Azur.
They played their first game and Ella won. Felic complained that Ella cheated. "You... You have powerful legs..." Felic blushed while looking at Ella's legs. "Oh, yea? I thought you liked my legs?" Ella smirked. Felic didn't want to admit she did
Felic's face turned even redder as she tried to hide her embarrassment. "Well, I mean... they're just... um, strong, I guess. It doesn't mean I like them or anything." She fumbled with her words, avoiding direct eye contact with Ella.
Ella laughed softly, enjoying Felic's flustered response. "Oh, come on, Felic. There's no need to be shy about it. It's just a little harmless admiration."
Felic sighed, unable to deny the truth any longer. "Okay, fine. I do like your legs. They're... impressive. But that doesn't mean you didn't cheat during the game!"
Ella raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Well, if you're so distracted by my legs, maybe that's why I won. You should learn to focus, Felic."
Felic pouted playfully, crossing her arms. "Oh, it's on now. Just you wait for the next game. I won't let your legs distract me this time."
They shared a laugh, the playful banter bringing them closer together. As they continued their bowling session, Felic couldn't help but steal glances at Ella's legs, secretly appreciating their strength and allure.
Julia saw how flirty they were being and got mad that Ella might be leading Felic on. She decided to ask to talk to Felic in the bathroom.
Julia, feeling a mix of concern and frustration, approached Felic and asked if they could talk in private. Felic, sensing the seriousness in Julia's voice, agreed and followed her to the bathroom.
Once inside, Julia leaned against the sink and looked at Felic with a serious expression. "Felic, I need to talk to you about something. I've noticed how flirty you and Ella have been, and it's starting to worry me."
Felic's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean, Julia? Ella and I are just having fun. We're getting closer, but it's not like we're in a serious relationship or anything."
Julia let out a frustrated sigh. "I get that, Felic. But I've seen the way Ella flirts with you, and I don't want to see you get hurt. I don't want you to be just another one of her flings."
Felic's face softened, understanding Julia's concern. "I appreciate your worry, Julia. But I believe Ella when she says she cares about me. We're taking things slowly and enjoying each other's company. I trust her intentions."
Julia crossed her arms, her gaze unwavering. "Just promise me you'll keep your eyes open, Felic. Don't let yourself get too invested before you know where you stand with Ella."
Felic looked at Julia, a mix of confusion and concern on her face. "Why are you so worried about Ella's reaction if I were to confess my feelings to her? It's not like she would judge me for being a lesbian, right?"
Julia sighed and met Felic's gaze. "It's not about Ella judging you, Felic. It's about the fear of history repeating itself. Remember how the soccer girls treated you when they found out? It was unfair and hurtful, and I don't want you to go through that again."
Felic's expression softened as she recalled the painful memories. "I understand your concern, Julia. It was a difficult time, and I don't want to experience that kind of judgment and rejection again..."
Julia nodded empathetically. "Exactly. While I hope Ella would be understanding and supportive, I can't guarantee how others might react. That's why I want you to be careful and ensure your emotional well-being before diving into a confession."
Felic sighed, realizing the weight of Julia's words. "You're right, Julia. I need to prioritize my own emotional safety. I don't want to rush into anything without considering the potential consequences."
Julia placed a comforting hand on Felic's shoulder. "I'm here for you, Felic. We all are. We want to see you happy and embraced for who you are. Just take your time, communicate with Ella, and trust your instincts."
Felic nodded, feeling grateful for Julia's concern and understanding. "Thank you, Julia. I appreciate your support and guidance. I'll make sure to tread carefully and have open conversations with Ella."
The two friends exchanged a reassuring smile, their conversation lingering in Felic's mind. With Julia's words in her heart, Felic knew she would navigate her feelings for Ella with caution and self-care, ensuring her own well-being as she explored the potential of their relationship.
"Good, but if Ella is even slightly a bitch to you I will—" "I know. You will kill her," Felic interrupted Julia to say while the two of them were walking out of the bathroom.
"Actually, it'll be a strongly worded DM, but that works too," Felic noticed that Ella was waiting outside of the bathroom as if she was listening to them. Felic and Ella both waved to each other and blushed.
Julia rolled her eyes. "Just go. I'll meet you back at our lane," Julia walked off and watched as Felic went up to Ella. Julia smiled a bit.
Felic approached Ella with a shy smile, feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement. "Hey, sorry about that. Julia can be quite protective sometimes."
Ella chuckled, her cheeks flushed. "No worries. It's sweet that she cares about you so much. I hope she knows I would never be a 'bitch' to you."
Felic's eyes softened as she looked at Ella. "I know you wouldn't. I trust you, Ella. And... I appreciate that."
Ella reached out and gently took Felic's hand in hers. "I'm glad you do. I care about you too, Felic. More than you know."
Their gazes locked, and the world around them seemed to fade away. In that moment, there was just the two of them, their unspoken feelings hanging in the air. Felic felt her heart race, unsure of what to say next.
Before either of them could speak, Julia's voice called out from a distance. "Hey lovebirds, let's get back to our lane before I beat you both at bowling!"
Felic and Ella chuckled, momentarily breaking the tension. They exchanged a knowing look and started walking back together, their hands still intertwined.
As they approached the bowling lane, Felic couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and hope. She knew that she and Ella had a connection worth exploring, and with Julia's watchful eye and support, Felic felt a newfound courage to embrace the possibilities ahead.
The three friends reunited with the others, their smiles mirroring the shared anticipation of a fun-filled afternoon. As they took their turns bowling, Felic and Ella stole glances at each other, their hearts dancing with the promise of something beautiful.
In that moment, Felic knew that even with the uncertainties and challenges that lay ahead, she was ready to take the leap, guided by the support of her friends and the growing bond she shared with Ella.
