Eva POV

"I can't believe the asshole did it again!" I think as the pain spreads from my mark outward. I don't know what hurts worse - his betrayal or my stupidity to think he wouldn't cheat again - like the first two times weren't enough. As I leave the living room, I trip over the chair leg when another wave of pain spreads across me - this time in my lower stomach area. This pain causes me to tumble over, but, unluckily, the coffee table is in the way this time. Falling right into the coffee table, it strikes me directly in my stomach area, and the force is so great that I also hit my head on the side of the table. Sliding into the floor in agony, the only thing I can think about is whether the little one I am carrying is okay. However, I see blood has started trickling into my eyes,and I can't find my phone, so I start yelling for Devaney. Somehow I got her attention even though she was upstairs.

"Mommy, mommy, are you ok? I'll call daddy." I'm not sure if the jerk would even answer, but her determined look is enough for me to keep my mouth shut.

"He's not answering mommy. Mommy answer me." She yells, shaking me slightly.

"Aunt Sienna..." I whisper out.

"Ok mommy."

Then I hear, "Aunt Sienna. Come quick. Mommy's hurt, really bad. Blood everywhere. I'll tell mommy." And she hangs up

"She's coming. Don't leave me mommy." I hear her cry.

"I love you and Zoey." I tell her before the darkness takes over.

Sienna POV

We get to Eva's house, and Ben goes to kick the door in, but Devaney finally opens the door. We rush in, and Devaney leads us to the living room - which is a mess. Broken furniture, shattered glass and blood - lots of blood. Eva is covered in blood, and I notice that there is also a small amount of blood on her leg. Shit. Please No.

"Ben, we have to get Eva to the hospital NOW."

"Yes I see that sweetheart. We'd be quicker than an ambulance - let's load her up and go."

Not caring about the state of my vehicle at the moment, Ben gently carries Eva to our car, and I help him get her inside. We rush Eva to the local hospital - which is equipped to handle werewolves and their problems.

"What happened?" the doctor asks as Eva is rushed in.

"I'm not sure exactly. All my niece said was that Eva yelled for help and she found her collapsed next to the coffee table."

"Is there anything special we should know about Luna Walsh?"

"She just found out she is pregnant." I almost whisper, and Ben's eyes get big. No Eva hadn't told anybody but me yet. She was waiting to tell people until she could talk with the asshole, but he put her off the other day. JERK!

The doctor looks at Eva and the blood and seems a bit panicked.

"Nurses get the OB down here stat."

Seeing his facial expressions and hearing the tone in his voice only alarmed me more.

"Is everything ok?" I questioned him.

"I'm not sure. Did she hit anything?"

"I guess she could have hit the coffee table, that would explain the blood on her head. I noticed blood on her legs though, so I guess she could have fallen across the table somehow."

"It certainly is possible, but just pray for her and the child. Please wait in the ER waiting room, we will call you as soon as we know something more."

With that he left us.

It felt like hours and hours before anyone came to tell us anything.

"Is Alpha Walsh around?" The doctor asks.

"No, we haven't been able to get a hold of him. What's wrong?"

"Eva is in a coma."

"Oh my. Is the baby ok?"

"I need to talk with Alpha Walsh." Is all the doctor said but by the look on his face, I knew the outcome.

"NO!" I cry. "She'll be devastated." I continue.

"We tried our best." The doctor whispers. "Please let us know when Alpha Walsh arrives. She is in ICU at the moment. She lost a lot of blood so we are having to do a transfusion. We couldn't do any brain scans because of the risk to a pregnancy, but if the coma continues we might decide to perform one now. We have no idea how long before she wakes up from the coma. She will need everyone's support when she does though. Her body may heal quickly, but it may take some time for the rest."

"Thank you doctor, for everything you've done." Ben tells him sincerely.

"Thank you Beta Stevens."

Callum POV

"She doesn't deserve you." Belle cooes.

"Who?"

"Eva." She says tracing something on my shoulder. Then it hit me - I have done it again.

"Get off me whore." I shout.

"Whore? You're one to talk! Aren't you the one with a mate?" She angrily states but gets dressed and stomped out.

I immediately call Eva, but I get no answer. I call Sienna, but I get the same response. No matter how much I fuck up my Beta always answers, and he doesn't disappoint.

"Do you know where Eva is?" I rush out.

"She's at the hospital."

"At the hospital, why? Wait don't answer. I'll be there in a minute."

"I wouldn't..." But I don't hear the rest, because I have already hung up.

Racing to the hospital, my mind races at the possibilities as to why she is there, but I am only greeted by a pissed off Sienna.

"I wouldn't." She warns.

"She's my mate."

"I'd advise you to go home and scrub the smell of alcohol and sex off before you go in there - in case she wakes up."

"Wakes up?" But Sienna ignores the question, so I turn to Ben.

"What's going on?"

"Eva's in a coma, dude."

"Why?"

"Because asshole - you were fucking another woman - or I assume a woman at least - probably Belle." My eyes widened at this - was it that obvious?

"Don't seem so surprised asshole. That whore has been after you for the last five years." Sienna sneers.

"Why is she in a coma, Ben?"

But Sienna is the one who answers. "The pain through the mate bond of you fucking another woman cause Eva to fall and crash through your coffee table. She tried to call you, but you didn't answer. Now I know why. Asshole!"

"How'd she get here then?"

"Luckily before she passed out from blood loss, your 8 year old daughter found her mother. When she couldn't get daddy on the phone, she called Aunt Sienna - who was actually available - even if I was in the middle of something."

"Ben?"

"Callum, go home and shower - you do stink. I don't think I've been more disappointed in you than I am at this moment. Eva needed you and some whore had your attention. You have a woman at home - a good woman, and you throw that away. At least with Sienna, I realized what I had quickly and changed my ways. Besides her, Brett and Sonya are the best things that have ever come into my life."

"What are you not telling me?"

"Go home and clean up." He demands and walked away with Sienna. Something else was wrong, but I did need to go home and shower.

Making sure I scrub, I hurry back to the hospital. After a day, I finally decide to talk with the doctor.

"Doc, what's wrong with Eva? Why won't she respond?"

"Well the blood loss was the worst, but the loss of the children didn't help. Her body needs to heal."

"The loss of children?"

"Oh my, you didn't know, did you? I just thought she would have told you already. She was so excited to find out about the pregnancy the other day. Of course, she doesn't know that she was actually pregnant with twins. I'm sorry for your loss Alpha Walsh."

The other day? She was excited - she was trying to tell me something, and I just blew her off. What kind of mate am I?

A bad one. My wolf interjects.

Now you talk. I retort.

I kept telling you that you were making a mistake. But do you listen to me? No. You already hurt our mate - more than once. And you've done it again - plus YOU caused her to lose our pups! FOR WHAT! My wolf ranted and then cut me off.

Damn he's right.

Eva POV

Waking up in a fog, I look over to see Callum sitting to me. He looks horrible, but he should.

"Doctor." I whisper out.

"Thank goddess." He exclaims a little too happily for my liking.

"Doctor." I whisper out again more demandingly, and he frowns but gets up to go fetch the doctor.

Noticing Sienna sitting in the corner, I ask her to get me some water, which she happily helps with.

The all too cheerful doctor comes walking through the door, unfortunately with Callum in tow.

"How are you feeling Luna Walsh?"

"Silly question. How long have I been asleep?"

"A week."

"How is my baby doing?"

The doctor went pale, and I know what he was going to say now.

"I'm sorry Luna, they didn't make it."

"They?"

"The Alpha didn't tell you? It was twins."

My heart feels like it is cracking in two, but this is only momentary to the rage that builds inside of me.

"OUT! Get out." The doctor rushes out, but Callum stays behind.

"I didn't mean him." I say as the glass of water goes flying across the room - narrowly missing his head. "You lying cheating bastard! Get out of this room!" I scream.

"But Eva..." He starts.

"You narcissistic, arrogant son of a bitch - YOU are the reason that I lost my babies!"

And the vase with the flowers goes flying across the room.

"Eva calm down." Sienna starts. "Your eyes are solid silver. You need to calm down."

"The cheating SOB is the reason I'm no longer carrying my baby...my babies!" I wail. And I look at Callum with disdain and rage, and he starts to scream in agony.

"Callum, I'd suggest you'd get out of here." Sienna informs him.

"What's going on?" He asks through labored breaths.

"In five years, you haven't taken the time to get to know your mate. Tsk Tsk. Eva has the power of body manipulation. If she is in a rage, she can actually manipulate your internal organs. If you don't leave immediately, you might have something burst within you." She tells him seriously, but I couldn't help but see the smile on her face.

"She could burst my organs." But all of a sudden, he starts screaming in agony again.

"Ben, get the asshole out of here and get a nurse." She tells her wonderful mate - lucky girl.

"Sure thing princess." And he moves or rather carries out the bastard.

Sienna POV

"He's gone now Eva. Please calm down."

"He killed my babies." She cries and her eyes are still solid silver.

Luckily, the nurse came rushing in - a syringe in hand. While I have Eva distracted, the nurse plunges the syringe into her IV bag line, and it doesn't take long for Eva to drift off to sleep.

"What caused this?" The nurse asks concerned.

"She found out that she lost her pregnancy and her lying, cheating mate was in the room." I inform her.

"I suppose we will have to ban him from visiting then."

"It would be best if you don't want a dead mate. And I'd get housekeeping up here, because it looks like there is cleanup on Aisle 2." I chuckled and remembered Julian fondly. I just wish he could be here to comfort her. I should be jealous, but I'm not - he could always calm her more quickly than I could. Stupid mate of his wouldn't let him come anyway, and it would probably be too dangerous to ask him to come.

Hours later, Eva starts to wake up from the sedatives.

"Water." She croaks out.

"Sure babe." as I rush to get the water to her glad that her eyes are back to their beautiful blue color.

"They're gone." She cries.

"I know, and I'm sorry about that."

"It isn't your fault Si. It's HIS fault!" She states. And I couldn't disagree with her.

"What are you going to do?"

"The best thing I can do for me and my girls - leave the bastard. Si, I can't handle this anymore. I'm not sure if he ever truly loved me. He's so absorbed in himself - it seems. Nothing I do is ever good enough. What am I even doing staying in this relationship? Keep the asshole away from me if you want to continue to have him as the Alpha of this pack. From this hospital room, I'll need your help."

"Whatever you need, I'll be here for you." And I mean every word of it.
