Story Time

"Wait a daughter of Zeus, like the Zeus?" Percy asked in surprise.

Thalia smirked and nodded "Your father isn't the only one who broke the oath, my father broke it twice, he went off the deep end with the same woman. Now enough about me, lets go find the others so we can get you guys up to date," She smirked "Pun intended."

"Pun intended? What do you mean by that?"

"Come with, Kelpy, and you'll see."

The two walked toward the large group of confused demigods, they were all arguing, yelling, and shouting. Luke and Annabeth were trying to calm everyone down while Clarisse and the rest of the Ares cabin were egging them on. Thalia and Percy glanced at eachother before Percy ran into the chaos "Stop! Enough!"

No one listened for more than a second, they continued to fight in more of an uproar. "Guys! Stop!" Percy shouted.

"STOP!" Thalia snarled and willed a lighting bolt to land right next to the discording group.

Everyone froze were they stood, all looking at the smoking ground were the lightning bold had hit. Slowly they began to lift their heads up a little more, to see Thalia with a disgusted expression on her face "Is this really how you solve your problems? Arguing and fighting? At the moment the last thing we need is to fight among ourselves, if we result to that we're doomed."

"T-Thalia?" Annabeth and Luke looked at their supposed dead friend in surprise.

Thalia smiled "Hello, nice to see you guys again though I've seen you," She pointed to Annabeth "A few days ago when you sent me on a patrol here, though I wasn't expecting to see all of you so soon..."

"Wait what? I didn't send you on a patrol and what do you mean 'wasn't expecting to see all of you so soon'?" Annabeth asked, and actually in one of the rare times in her life, confused.

"Ah, that's the question isn't it? If you'd all follow me to my makeshift camp I'll explain."

At first the group hesitated but the followed the daughter of Zeus into the ashy forest.

After walking a little ways they came to what looks like it used to be Zeus's Fist "What happened to this place? I mean it was only an earthquake! And what up with the growl?" Luke asked.

"That question I have no answer to, all I know is that it wasn't just an earthquake and it wasn't a growl. You'll have to take Leo up on that."

"Leo?"

"Son of Hephaestus, a brilliant one I might say. Almost as brilliant a Beckendorf, if not, is." Thalia replied.

Beckendorf smiled slightly while the rest of his cabin smiled proudly at their brother. Thalia motioned for them to follow her to a little tent that belonged to a hunter of Artemis and a little camp fire.

"Why do you have a camp fire?" Luke asked "It's, what it looks like to be, about 4:00."

"The fire is enchanted to keep all unwanted guests out, only half-bloods apart of the resistance can enter without permission." Thalia explained.

"Resistance?"

The daughter of Zeus lifted the flap of the tent "Cabin counselors come inside, the rest of you stay out here and stay close to the fire for warmth, night will be falling soon. Oh and please don't mess anything up!"

"Where we were, night had already fallen." One of the Hermes campers said.

"Well it hasn't fallen here so stay close to the fire and under no circumstances leave the encampment!"

The counselors followed Thalia inside, it was much bigger that it was on the outside, everyone could fit and be comfortable with a lot more room to spare. Thalia sat on her animal skin rug and motioned for them to join her. They all awkwardly sat down and looked around at the décor: animal skins, mounts, and supplies.

"So!" Thalia said, breaking the tense silence. "I suppose you're all very confused."

"No really? What gave you that impression?" Lee of the Apollo cabin snapped.

Thalia turned to him and glared, making him almost jump out of his skin "Watch your tongue or I'll have it as a trophy."

The son of Apollo gulped and shrunk away. Thalia smirked in satisfaction "Ah, where to begin?"

"Why don't you begin with where we are and how you aren't a tree?" Luke suggested.

The daughter of Zeus quickly glanced at him but it was barely noticeable, she nodded hesitantly "Okay, I'll start out with my not being a tree. The reason why I'm not a tree is because a friend of mine set me free," Her eyes fell on Percy "A certain son of Poseidon actually."

Everyone turned to Percy, some smiled and some just scoffed "Oh please, how could this punk set you free?" Clarisse sneered.

"You played a part in it too, Clarisse."

"I don't ever remember--."

"That's because it hasn't happen yet."

Annabeth starred at Thalia in confusion "What do you mean?"

Thalia smiled slyly "Welcome to six years into the future, my friends."

Only a shocked silence followed her words, there was no way this was possible! Six years into the future?

Annabeth was the first to speak out "W-Where are we in the future, like are we still in Manhattan?"

Thalia looked down sadly "Yes, and I suppose you already figured out that this used to be Camp Half-Blood."

They all nodded "Why is it like this?"

The daughter of Zeus shook her head in defeat "They were too strong, we tried to hold our ground but no matter how hard we tried it was just too much. So many had fallen, so many wounded," She sighed. "But we had a choice to make, it was either stand and fight: letting everyone parish or retreat to fight another day. We chose to retreat, too much blood had been spilt already, it wasn't worth it."

"What do you mean it wasn't worth it?! This is our home!" Everyone started to yell at Thalia for letting their home be destroyed, she calmly waited for yelling to die down.

"If there is no half-bloods, then the camp is useless. If we stayed there, they would have won the war and the world would be lost."

"You keep saying 'they' who is 'they'?" Percy asked.

"Gaea and her forces." Thalia growled. "We've been at war with them for about two years now."

Annabeth gasped "B-but, that's not possible! She should be asleep!"

"Believe me, Annabeth, we all wish it wasn't possible, but it is and always will be."

"Uh, to change the subject," Percy cut in "When we first got here you said something about a resistance?"

"Ah, yes!" Thalia smiled. "The resistance is a huge organization founded by half-bloods. In each state there are two resistances, one Greek and one Roman--."

"Roman?"

"Yes, there are Roman demigods, but I'll get to that later. In New York is were the chief Greek resistance is located. The Romans are located in California. The Chief Greek resistance isn't to far from here, its name is 'Anaklusmos', named after your sword, Percy."

"Uh, I don't have a sword." Percy replied.

"Oh but you will."

Clarisse snorted "Why would we name a resistance after his sword?"

"Because he's our leader." Thalia said proudly "The best swordsman in three hundred years, hero and savior of Olympus and much, much more."

"Uh are you sure we're talking about the same person?"

"Very."

Clarisse glared "Prove it."

"I will, my brother Jason should be coming any hour now to travel with me back to Anaklusmos. Percy should be there and if not, he will return soon." Thalia growled.

"Fine."

"Alright, enough of story time. You'll figure out the rest on the way--."

"Wait, what does all of this have to do with us? Why are we here?" Luke asked.

Thalia raised an eyebrow at him "I just said you'll figure out the rest on the way."

"Oh..."

"Anyway, make yourselves comfortable. Talk among yourselves, relax. Jason will be here soon to take us home so sit tight, I'll be back in an hour or so with some food." She took out her hunters' bow and headed out.
