Short chapter, warning ya :)

Annabeth's P.O.V

It's been a month since they had lost Percy, they had burned his shroud the day after and had expected Annabeth to say a few words. Annabeth couldn't get past the first couple words before she had broke down, but of course not in front of the camp. She excused herself first then left without another word, she had walked all the way to the ruins of Camp Half-Blood and to the lake. She sat there for hours and literately had a mental and emotional break down. Thalia had to come and get her after the second day . . . .

The sound of someone opening the tent flap pulled Annabeth from her thoughts. She didn't turn to see who it was though, she didn't have to, she knew who.

"Hey Annabeth." Annie greeted.

"Hey."

"Um, I-I hope you don't mind but I brought Percy along with me."

Annabeth tensed, but relaxed a little after a few seconds "Hello Percy." She replied, trying to hide the tension in her voice.

"Hey . . ."

The daughter of Athena stood from her desk and turned to face them, her face and eyes showed no emotion but inside she was breaking. Seeing Percy again, even though he was younger, just made her hurt. Annabeth would never get over Percy's death, she knew that already, and the wound would never heal.

She sighed "Need something?"

Annie shook her head "We just came for a visit."

"Make yourselves at home then."

Annie and Perce walked over to the couches and sat down, the past demigods still didn't know the truth of the relationship between Annabeth and Percy. Annie came almost everyday to help Annabeth with Percy's death but most of the comfort she gave was as if Percy had been Annabeth's best friend, but he was way more than that.

"So how have you been." Annie asked.

"Horrible." Annabeth dead-panned, no more sugar coating. "How have you been? And you too, Perce. How have you been taking all of this?"

Her younger version shrugged and Perce winced "I'm not really sure, it's a lot to take in and it's a little . . . strange I guess."

Perce and Annie shifted uncomfortably, they seemed to be hiding something . . .

"Something's on your mind, speak up."

Perce glanced at Annie and sighed "They think they know what happened to, uh, me."

Annabeth froze "What?"

"Ya, Thalia didn't want us telling you yet until they were certain."

Maybe mother has answered my prayers! Annabeth thought excitedly.

"Where's Thals?"

"She's in the arena."

"Wait here." Annabeth breathed and raced out of the tent.
