Danger~

I stood there glaring at two of the officers.

"Oh just get in there all ready." One of the officers rolled his eyes and shoved me in the penalty cell. It was a very tight room. It had no windows, no beds, no nothing just the room and a small torn up blanket laying on the ground. The officer closed the room with a huge metal door and locked me in.

" let me out this isn"t fair!" I yelled.

 "Whatever life  is not fair." An officer mumbled from the back of the door.

 I leaned against the door and sat on the ground. It was cold and water started to leak from the ceiling. I wanted to be free and I was so close but failed. At least I feel less guilty since I saved someone who was innocent. Well I hope she was innocent. Innocent or not she is free and am still locked up in here.

The next day someone opened my door.

" Well well well look who is dangerous now? What do you think Danger ?" It was the leader. 

He stood in front of me and would say my name in a hissing way.

"How would you like to die again ?" He smirked.

" I wish I can die all ready. I rather face death than being here for eternity." I glared.

The leader started to laugh. A laugh that caused the hair on the back of my neck tingle.

"I would love for you to die also but too bad... your immortal." The leader took a step towards me and lifted my head up with his bat and shoved me to the ground so I could kneel.

"Down you worthless creature because I'm at the top. Soon you'll know why I despise you." He took a step back and glared at me one last time before closing the door behind him. I got up and went to the farthest corner I could get.

I fell asleep on the floor till I heard a sound. Two clicks and the big metal door opened.

"Psst!" Someone whispered. "Come out quick before it's too late." I got up and got to the door to see a beautiful girl in front of me.

"You? But how?"

"Shh... less questions and more running follow me." She snatched my hand and dragged me to a nearby room. It was the break room for the officers and no one was in sight. "Now we will be free." She winked and pointed me to a window. Freedom at last.

"Run." She was way ahead of me and boy was she fast. In the distance sirens and alarms were heard. We ran through the city. People started to let us by and didn't even try to stop us. Probably since we were still wearing our prison uniforms. We ran and hid behind an abandoned alley.

"Way to go we are finally free." I smiled warmly at her.

I think I saw her blush I little bit. She stared down and smiled.

 "I still don't know your name." I flinched when she asked for my name. Just when I was about to tell her a crash was heard behind us. A trash can lid rolled toward us and spun in circles till it landed flat. I looked up and two sparkling tiny red eyes blinked twice at us. My partner eyes brightened up and she glared at the creature in front of us.

"You.." She hissed. The creature came out of the shadow and it turned out to be a rat. The rat twitched its whiskers and took a step towards us. She grabbed my hand and took a step back.

"Hi there!" The rat squeaked. 

"Stay back you filthy thing!" The rat stopped and rose its paws in the air at the insult.

"Remeber me I'm your friend. I am Roadkill remember?" The rat's eyes saddened.

"You work for him and I have nothing to do with you." She spat.

She tugged my arm and started to pull me away.

"Wait!" Roadkill scurried towards us. The rat got on her shoulder and  whispered something into her ear and she changed her expression quickly.

"Okay." She sighed.

"Umm.. can someone please tell me what's going on here?" I was pretty much lost.

"I'll tell you later but first we need to hide better. He's after us."

"He who?" She didn't answer and started to run again.

She finally stopped by a park and hid under a bridge. I Followed and sat next to her. Roadkill got in her lap and she started to pet it.

"I'm confused right now." I really needed her to explain.

" Its a long story but the only thing you should know for now is that one man is after us and he won't rest till he finds us. Mainly me." Her eyes darkened.

"Then explain to me how this rat can speak." I needed to know. Ever since she arrived she had captivated me and now am curious than ever to know.

"He is special that's all I can say for now." She took a deep breath and stood up. "Thanks for the help. It was a pleasure to meet you but I must go now." She started to walk off.

"Wait are you just going to leave me? After all we been through?" I stood up quickly and grabbed her hand. I could feel her tense up but then relax.

"I don't want anyone else hurt because of me. I am bad luck and he wants me not you."

She let go my hand and walked off again. I was getting frustrated with all the mysteries.

"Then let me help you." I didn't want to let go of her that easily. I had a feeling that for a reason she was the first person I've meet for the first time in my life. "Please you helped me to my freedom when you didn't had to help me but you did. Let me pay you back."

"I can't. Bye." Her voice cracked and ran off once again.

I stood by as she disappeared into the distance. Something in me told me to follow her but I remained still. Might as well hide before the cops find me. I found a bus stop and waited for a bus to arrive. A few minutes passed when my first bus arrived. Never have I rode one or seen one but some kind of presence told me everything. It's like a sixth sense. I got in the bus and the bus drove off. The bus driver stared at me strangely.

"Going to a disguise party?" The driver stared at my prison uniform.

"Heh. You could say." I smiled fakely.

 "Whatever." The driver rolled his eyes. I sat on the back of the bus and stared out the window. Where was I going? I had no clue.

"Sir? Sir!" The driver was poking on my shoulder.

"Wha.." I woke up realising I slept.

"You've been here for the past two hours and you still haven't payed." The driver frowned at me.

 "What?" I had no money. Forgot I even had to pay.

"I have no choice but to call for the cops." The driver took out his phone and started to dail in the number.

"What? Why sir i'm sorry but..."

" Yes. Aha. Yup. Yeah. Okay then." The driver finished speaking on the phone.

"No wait I...." I tried reasoning with him but the driver took out a small bat.

"I've been informed that you're a criminal that escaped. I have no choice young man." He did a swing but missed me. I quickly ran out of the bus into a unknown place.

"Get back here!" He yelled. I ran into a nearby forest.

 In the distance I could see helicopters flying by and distance sounds of dogs barking. I ran deep into the forest as fast as I could. I ended up getting tired and sat behind some trees.

"Oh Lord ,oh Lord why me?" I stared up at the dark night sky. Only a twinkling star lit the night sky. I decided to follow it since I was lost all ready. I walked through trees and bushes till I arrived up at a clear hill.

I was at the top and looked down. An abandoned mansion sat at the bottom of the hill. It was way out in the nowhwhere with not a living presence in sight. I ran almost sliding down to the hill getting near the mansion. It was huge and dark. By it was a huge dead oak tree and a nearby abandoned cemetery. Next thing I knew it I was by the door step. I slowly opened the door which was opened. I twisted and turned the knob. The door squeaked and cracked. And there I saw it. I woman dressed in white almost transparent walked towards me.

"Welcome this is yours. make yourself at home." The woman walked up on some stairways and disappeared into the air.

"What just happened?" I scratched my head and observed the place. White sheets covered up old furniture and dust covered the whole place and spiderwebs hung on the ceilings. A black cat startled my thoughts and blinked twice with its green eyes. It got closer and started to purr on my legs. It took a step backed and suddenly vanished. I felt creeped out and confused. I felt tired and all I wanted was to sleep. I uncovered one of the white sheets and found a velvet couch and layed on my back staring at the roof. All I wanted was to sleep and believe this was just my dream.

 Just a dream...
