As Rosalia settled beside Jimin on the couch, her heart raced with both excitement and concern. She had been waiting for this moment, the chance to check on his injuries properly now that he was home and recovering. Jimin lay back against the cushions, his expression relaxed and playful, but she could see the remnants of pain in his eyes whenever he moved too quickly.

“Alright, let’s see what we’re working with here,” Rosalia said, trying to sound professional as she carefully pulled back the blanket covering him.

Jimin smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “Just remember, you might be disappointed. I’m not a superhero, you know.”

She rolled her eyes, smiling despite herself. “I doubt that, but let’s see.” As she gently peeled away the bandages from his side, her fingers grazed his skin, and she couldn’t help but feel a flutter in her stomach. The scars and bruises told a story of danger and bravery, and while her heart ached for him, there was a strange admiration that bubbled up inside her.

“Don’t look so worried,” Jimin teased, watching her expression intently. “I promise I’m not going to break. Besides, I think you’re just here to see my abs.”

Rosalia felt her cheeks heat up at his words. “Shut up! I’m just making sure you’re healing properly.” She glanced up at him, biting her lip to suppress a smile. “Besides, if you’re really hurt, I wouldn’t want to see your abs anyway.”

“Of course, of course,” he said, mock-serious. “The abs come first. Healing second.”

She shook her head, laughing softly, and focused back on the task at hand. As she worked, she felt the tension ease between them. The rhythm of the moment, the gentle intimacy of caring for him, brought them closer together.

“I can see why you’ve got so many admirers,” she said, more to herself than to him, as she continued to unwrap the bandage carefully. “Look at these muscles!”

Jimin’s chest puffed up in mock pride. “You know, all this could be yours, if you play your cards right.”

“Is that so?” she replied, raising an eyebrow as she gently placed a fresh bandage against his skin. “What do I have to do to earn a full view of the Jimin six-pack?”

He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Well, I might let you have a peek if you make my favorite pasta for dinner.”

Rosalia couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re ridiculous. But I will definitely make that pasta. It’s a deal.”

“Perfect,” he said, clearly pleased. “Now, could you just… you know, wrap me up a little tighter? I want to feel secure.”

Rosalia took her time re-wrapping the bandage, focusing on being gentle. “You just want me to be close to you, don’t you?”

“Maybe,” he admitted, his tone playful. “Or maybe I just want you to be my personal nurse.”

“Is that so?” she asked, biting her lip to hide her grin as she secured the last of the bandages. “Well, consider yourself lucky. I charge a very low fee.”

“What’s the fee?” he asked, feigning seriousness.

“A dinner date,” she said with a wink, finishing her work and giving him a satisfied nod. “All done.”

“Wow,” he exclaimed dramatically, leaning back with his arms behind his head. “Look at that! I’m all bandaged up and ready to take on the world again.”

Rosalia shook her head, laughter bubbling up inside her. “You’re such a dork. But seriously, are you feeling okay? How’s the pain?”

“Honestly?” he replied, his tone shifting slightly more serious. “It hurts a little, but it’s manageable. The worst part is sitting around doing nothing. I’m not good at being idle.”

She sat back, a touch of concern washing over her. “I know it’s frustrating, but you need to take this time to heal. It’s important. You pushed yourself hard during that mission.”

“Yeah, I know,” he said, his voice softening. “But I don’t want you to worry. I hate seeing you like this.”

Rosalia reached out, taking his hand in hers. “I can’t help but worry, Jimin. You mean a lot to me. I just want you to be okay.”

“Then let’s make a deal,” he suggested, squeezing her hand gently. “For every moment I’m here recovering, you promise to keep me entertained. And I’ll promise to take care of myself. Deal?”

“Deal,” she agreed, feeling a warmth spread through her at his words. “You take care of yourself, and I’ll be here to keep you entertained.”

“Now, let’s see if you can keep up with my demands,” he said, flashing her a cheeky grin. “Starting with that pasta, of course.”

Rosalia laughed, feeling lighter than she had in days. “Fine, but only if you promise to help me with the dishes after.”

“Deal,” he replied, his smile infectious. “And who knows? Maybe I’ll even show you my impressive abs while we’re at it.”

As she rolled her eyes playfully at him, Rosalia felt a swell of happiness. Moments like these, filled with laughter and affection, made the chaos of the world outside seem so far away. In this little bubble of intimacy, it was just the two of them, healing together, one playful banter at a time.

The rest of the evening flew by as they continued to talk, share stories, and tease each other. Every laugh, every gentle touch, and every teasing remark solidified their bond, and as the night wore on, Rosalia realized that despite the uncertainty that lay ahead, they would face it together.

And as Jimin lay beside her, both injured yet so full of life, Rosalia knew one thing for certain: she wouldn’t trade this feeling, this moment, for anything in the world.
