Jimin’s nerves were on edge as he set up the rooftop of his building for a date he hoped Rosalia would remember forever. He’d been planning this for days, carefully considering every detail to make sure it was just right. He wanted to show her how much he cared, how deeply he felt, even though he’d always found it hard to express his emotions in words.
The rooftop was transformed into a magical scene under the stars, with fairy lights strung up across the pergola, casting a warm glow over the cozy setup. He’d arranged a soft blanket, surrounded by fluffy pillows, and even added a small projector where they could watch an old romantic movie. Lanterns lined the edges, and he’d scattered rose petals for a touch of romance.
When Rosalia arrived, he greeted her at the door, heart racing as he took her hand. “Ready?” he asked, his voice a little shy but full of excitement.
Her eyes widened as he led her up to the rooftop. “Jimin… this is beautiful,” she breathed, taking in the view. The city skyline twinkled below them, and the stars shone brightly above. The rooftop setup was cozy, intimate, and breathtaking.
“I wanted tonight to be special,” he said, scratching the back of his neck nervously as he watched her reaction. “I thought… maybe we could have a little picnic up here. Just us.”
She smiled, touched by his thoughtfulness. “You really went all out,” she said, gently squeezing his hand.
As they settled down on the blanket, he unveiled a picnic basket filled with some of her favorite treats—pastries, fresh fruits, and a small charcuterie board he’d put together himself. There was even a bottle of sparkling juice, which he poured into two flutes, clinking them together in a toast.
“To a night under the stars,” he said, his gaze never leaving hers.
“To a perfect night,” she replied softly, her cheeks slightly flushed as she met his eyes.
They talked about everything and nothing, laughing over old memories and sharing dreams they’d never told anyone before. She told him about her love for stargazing as a child, how she used to imagine herself dancing among the stars. Jimin listened intently, entranced by every word, feeling like he was seeing her in a new light.
At one point, he moved closer, carefully brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. “You know,” he murmured, his voice soft, “I never thought I’d get to do this. To just… be with you.”
Rosalia’s gaze softened, her expression open and vulnerable. “I never thought I’d be here either. But… I’m glad we are.”
Jimin took a deep breath, feeling his heart pounding as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small jewelry box. He opened it, revealing a delicate bracelet with a charm shaped like a tiny star. “I saw this and thought of you,” he said, his cheeks turning a shade of pink. “You said you loved stars… so I wanted you to have one.”
Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him, touched by the gesture. “It’s beautiful, Jimin. Thank you.” She held out her wrist, and he carefully fastened the bracelet, his fingers brushing against her skin, sending a shiver up her spine.
They sat in silence for a while, simply enjoying each other’s presence. The night air was cool, and the stars shone brightly above them, but all Jimin could see was her. Feeling a surge of courage, he gently reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers as he gazed into her eyes.
“Rosalia,” he said softly, his voice trembling slightly. “You’re… you’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met. I want to give you everything. I know I’m not perfect, and there are things about me that… well, things you don’t know yet. But I want to be someone who makes you happy. I want to be the one you can count on.”
Her gaze softened, her fingers tightening around his. “You already do, Jimin,” she whispered. “Being here with you tonight… I feel so lucky.”
Slowly, he leaned in, his eyes searching hers for permission. She closed the distance, their lips meeting in a gentle, lingering kiss under the night sky. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, wrapped in each other’s warmth.
When they finally pulled away, Jimin rested his forehead against hers, his heart racing. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that,” he admitted, his voice barely a whisper.
She smiled, her cheeks flushed. “Me too.”
They stayed like that for a while, holding each other close as they gazed up at the stars. As the night grew cooler, Jimin wrapped a blanket around them both, holding her close. They watched the movie he’d prepared, laughing and sharing snacks, but both of them knew that tonight wasn’t just about stargazing or movies—it was about opening up to each other, sharing pieces of themselves they’d kept hidden.
As the evening wore on, Jimin found himself more at ease, his shyness melting away in her presence. He couldn’t help but smile, feeling as if he’d finally found a place where he belonged—with her. And as they sat there, wrapped in each other’s arms, he silently vowed to make her feel as cherished and loved every day as she did tonight.
The night was perfect, but Jimin knew that this was just the beginning. He’d finally found the courage to pursue his feelings, and now, with her by his side, he was ready to give her all the love he’d kept buried for so long.
