(Monday, around midday)
"Hey! Come play with me!"
The girl looked up at the slightly taller girl in front of her, smiling at her newly-acquired friend. It wasn't that Anaise didn't have any other friends, neither was the case that the new addition didn't have any friends; it was merely the case that the two of them just seemed to click. They had a lot in common; both not being fully Japanese and both not having typical Japanese names like the other kids in class gave them a special bond with each other, not to mention they both had two fathers, although they hadn't realised that was why. They just liked playing with each other. It was safe to say the two were best of friends.

"'Kay." Anaise responded, running along with her pink-haired friend over to a small patch of dirt under a great oak tree. "Ana?" Joseline asked, digging away at the soil with a stick.
"Yeah JoJo?" she replied, joining her friend in digging for buried treasure, not caring that she was getting mud on her school uniform. Josie leaned a little closer, looking around quickly to see if they were being watched. "Ayame and Kaya said they won't play with me no more." She whispered, her friend looked at her in confusion "Why?" The pink-haired girl tilted her head slightly, not sure of her answer. She didn't get it, she was too young to understand.

"Coz...I told them my daddy has a boyfriend." Anaise blinked before going back to her digging, Joseline stared at her, dumbfounded.
"Ana?"
Anaise looked up, giving her friend a small smile "I've got two daddies, and I love them real much."

"Anaise, do you want ta play?" The two friends looked up to see five other girls standing above them. "We're playing tag, come and play Anaise." Ayame asked, stretching a hand out to the shorter girl.
"No thank you Aya, I am playing with JoJo today." She answered politely, turning back to her friend.

"But Anaise, she-" Kaya stopped before whispering the rest "Her daddy likes boys!" The other girls pulled faces at the comment. The lilac-haired girl looked over at her friend; she looked as though she was about to cry. Anaise stood up slowly, turning around to face the girls "If you don't like JoJo then I can't play with you, because I have two daddies so there!" She protested, folding her arms.

"Eww!" One of the girls said but Anaise simply took no notice. "I don't really think I like you anymore." She stated calmly, Ayame stomped her foot angrily "Well my mummy and daddy say that it is not right!"
"Yeah! My mummy says so too!" Kaya said, towering over the small Anaise.

"Well, I think that it is good, my daddies are vewy happy!" Anaise retorted, Joseline stood up, grabbing her friend's hand and smiling brightly. The two other girls didn't really know what to say. "You are meanies. We don't like meanies." Joseline stated and stuck her tongue out. "Now go before we throw worms on you!" Anaise yelled, tugging her friend closer toward her.
"Eww!"
"I am going to tell my mummy on you!" Kaya yelled before running off, the other girls following her.

Anaise simply waved them off before turning around and giving Joseline a big hug. "Now, let's get back to our treasure!"
"Aye Aye Captain!" The other replied happily, giving a salute like she'd seen once in a movie.
The two girls played happily together; laughing, joking, Anaise chasing Josie around with a worm at one point, their matching pigtails flying about as they ran.

"So, your daddy's boyfriend-what is he like?" The shorter girl asked as she continued to make 'soup' out of mud, water and leaves. Joseline's face lit up, bright green eyes sparkling with joy. "Afuyo? He's exstellent! He is real nice to me and laughs at all of daddy's bad jokes and he has pretty hair and let's me brush or plait it sometimes and put bows in it and even though he cut it it is still pretty and when he comes to visit we watch movies and eat brownies and he always makes daddy let me to stay up late!" She said almost in one breath, her friend only smiled, thinking back to her own parents.

"Wha about you?"
"Well, I know that Papa loves Daddy very, very much and gets worried when Daddy is sad. Daddy really likes sweets, even though Papa always tries to hide them from him. Papa gets more angry than Daddy, but he never shouts. Daddy is very caring and kind and loves Papa just as much. They always are telling me how much they love me. I love them a lot, they're good parents-the best parents, I wouldn't ever want to change them."
She stopped, she wished to say more, but, she'd only known her parents for a week and a bit-there was still so much she didn't know. She felt...almost jealous of Joseline, at least she'd been able to grow up with a father who loved her. Anaise had never known that love, not until now.

"Well, daddy asked me if I would like Afuyo to move in and be my other daddy, I really like him and I know daddy really likes him too coz Afuyo makes him smile lots." Josie stated happily, smiling at the idea. "He said he will come and pick me up today with my daddy-you can see him then!"
Anaise smiled softly "That sounds good, I can show you my daddies too."

(3pm)
(Afuro)

"Daddy! Afuyo!" I smiled as Joseline ran up to Arata and I. Arata laughed and picked her up, throwing her into the air and catching her as she giggled hysterically. "Afuyo!" She yelled and smooshed my face together with her tiny hands. "Jo, it's Afuro remember?" Arata corrected but his daughter just stuck her tongue out at him.

"Slow down Anaise!" We both turned to see Nagumo being dragged towards us by a little black girl who I presumed was the daughter I heard Nagumo and Suzuno had recently adopted. "Papa, this is the fwend I was telling you and Daddy about!" She said, pointing to Joseline who beamed down at her.
"Hi, Arata right? We met at the wedding, I'm Nagumo." My redhead friend stated, holding out a hand for my boyfriend to shake.

"Yeah, I remember you. Your husband's...Suzuno?" Nagumo nodded and Anaise smiled up at me.
I bent down so that I was at her height "And this must be your daughter. Hi sweetie I'm-"
"You're Afuyo. JoJo's almost-dad." She interrupted, steely grey eyes peering into my crimson ones; I laughed nervously, straightening up. "Well I-"

"Well you kind of are." I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Arata. "That's what Josie wants, isn't it darling?" He looked down at Joseline who was still in his arms, she nodded her head furiously "Pwease Afuyo, pwease!"

"I...I don't know what to say..." My boyfriend frowned "Oh, it was too sudden-I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" I shook my head "No, Arata, I'd love too. I'd love to, I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that!" I was going to hug and kiss him but I was mindful of the other parents and kids around; I could already see a couple of parents giving us the evils.

"Yay! Now we both have two daddies Ana! This is exstellent!" Josie exclaimed, grabbing my arm and shaking it energetically "Josie, it's 'excellent'" Arata corrected and I just laughed. Josie merely dismissed her father's remark, tugging harder on my sleeve "Yes Josie, what's up?" I asked, she looked deep in thought-well as deep in thought as a six year old could be. "I am trying to think...of what...to call you..." I looked at her in confusion before soon understanding.

"How about...I know! You both will be Daddy!" She said with a laugh "Uh, won't that get a little confusing Josie? How's about Arata can be Daddy#1 and I'll be Daddy#2?" I compromised, she shook her head.
"Nope. Nu-uh. This is more fun!" I couldn't argue with her, Arata just smiled at me and I melted "Sure Josie."

"Well I think it's time we got home little lady, what do you think?" Nagumo stated as Joseline jumped down from Arata's arms. "Daddy, can Ana stay for tea? Pwease? Pwease!" She exclaimed looking at the two of us with those big green eyes of hers. I looked at Arata, who looked back at me. "Who are you asking Jo?" My boyfriend said rather slyly, his daughter pouted "Both of you! Oh pwease oh pweaseee! Ana is my best fwend in the whooooole world!"

"Nagumo?" He looked at me, crossing his arms and staring down at his daughter "You know, I'm not too sure..." Anaise's eyes grew impossibly large "But Papa, we are best fwends! Didn't you have a best fwend that you always wanted to play with?" I saw his eyes soften at her words, his arms falling to his sides.
"I was joking, of course you can."

Her bright smile lit up all our faces. "Thank you thank you papa!" She exclaimed, standing on her tiptoes and kissing him on the cheek, he ruffled her lilac hair and she giggled. He straightened up, turning to Arata and I, slinging the girl's bookbag and TMNT rucksack over his shoulder. "I'll come pick her up at say, 6.30?" Arata nodded and Anaise skipped over to his daughter.

"Well, I'll see you later little lady alright?"
"Yep!" She replied before setting her stormy grey eyes on me.
"You be a good daddy now, or you will have to deal with me." I could feel her eyes boring into my very soul.
"Anaise!" Nagumo half yelled-half laughed as I laughed nervously in response-she was actually pretty scary! She cracked a smile "Was only joking!" She exclaimed before running off after Joseline, laughing. I turned back to Nagumo as Arata chased the two girls down "You've only had her for what, almost two weeks? She's already starting to sound like you." I said with a small chuckle, he shrugged, watching his daughter running happily around with her best friend at her heels. He didn't say anything else, simply smiled before turning and walking off, waving at me from behind.
I turned around, breaking off into a run after the other three.

(4pm~ Tokyo Metropolitan Library)
(Matsuno)
"Hey stranger." He looked up from the book he was reading, giving me a weak smile. "What are you doing here?"
I shrugged and leant up against his desk, looking out at the handful of people reading books or studying "Just wanted to see you." I replied keeping my voice low since we were in a library.

"You finished that game didn't you?" Pouting, I turned to face him "I couldn't help myself! I know it's just a beta but it's so good! Although summoning demons is a little tricky, it goes a little glitchy sometimes and you end up with this fuzzy blob following you around, but I mean I told Emi and the other designers so hopefully she'll fix that; also there's this rabbit hole at this well in Taradin that's supposed to take you to the underground dungeons but whenever I jumped into it it just made my character do infinite barrel rolls unless I turned off the game-"

"Max." He said softly, placing his bandaged hand on my arm. I smiled apologetically at my ramblings "You know I don't finish until five right?" He said quietly, leaning back into his chair and picking up his book again. I leaned over to him, pulling the book down slightly so I could see his face "I know. I'll just wait-" I grabbed a nearby chair, setting it down next to his desk "-right here Han." He didn't say anything else, just laughed quietly under his breath and going back to his book.

I'd forgotten how quiet libraries were. I was dying. I remembered why I don't come here. "Hey Han?" My boyfriend didn't reply, too engrossed in his book. I shuffled closer and tried again "Hey. Handa?" He put a finger to my lips, not taking his eyes off the page he was reading. I huffed a little; leaning back into my chair and swinging my legs about "Booooooored." I moaned, hating the silence and stillness of everything "Max. I will finish this chapter, do you understand?" He said quietly once again not looking in my direction-I shut up after that.

"Max."
I stirred awake, rubbing my eyes blearily "What year is it?" I asked, sitting up slowly. "You were asleep for five minutes." He replied, getting up from his seat and disappearing into an office around the corner. I gazed up at the clock on the wall, groaning in disappointment-there was still 40 minutes left.
"Here, help me with these." I almost jumped at his sudden voice, turning around to Handa placing a crate of books in my arm "Come on." He continued, walking off, I followed.

I handed my boyfriend each book in turn, watching as he placed it on the correct shelf, in the correct order. "I just remembered-" I began, handing him a book and smiling at the sight of a few mangas at the bottom of the crate 'maybe I will come here more often then?'
"What?" Handa asked inquisitively, looking down at me from the 'teen fiction' shelf. I smiled up at him "I just remembered, this is where we met...again." He looked at me for a second before turning back to the books, straightening them vigorously. "Uh that's nice." He stated and I looked at him oddly 'that's nice? What kind of a response is that?' He put his hand out for another book, not looking at me again.

I held the book in my hands, wondering what was up with him "Han?" He stopped what he was doing, looking down at me, I couldn't quite place his expression "Handa, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" He said rather defensively, grabbing the book from my hands and placing it on the shelf.

He was acting strange, well, he's been acting strangely ever since Friday night. He's gotten much quieter too, it's worrying me, but he won't tell me what's wrong.

"You don't seem okay."
"Well I am alright." He replied, voice raised. A few people looked at us before going back to their reading, Handa bit his lip, turning once more back to the shelf and staring at it for a few moments before trying to straighten them up again, getting increasingly more flustered as they continued to lean.

"Handa." I grabbed his hand, standing up so he was looking right at me. "Please, just tell me what's up."
He bit his lip again, eyes veering towards the floor, I placed a finger under his chin, lifting his head slightly to face me "Han. Please."

"Oh would you look at that! It's almost five, excuse me I need to get ready to leave!" He said, moving past me and walking off hurriedly. I sighed defeatedly, stuffing my hands into my pockets.
'Handa, what's wrong with you?...'
