"Yuuki, hey Yuuki. Shannon wants you to get her a latte, now." Natalie, my colleague said. I looked up at her from my bowl of Oyakodon and frowned "But I'm on lunch break."
She placed her hands on her hips
"I know, but you know what she's like. She made me take her dog to the groomers this morning, she such a puta."

Puta I had recently learnt, meant bitch-Natalie is not shy with her words.

I sighed and walked over to the coffee machine. There was a big red sticker over the latte button- guess a cappuccino it is then so I pressed that and waited as it poured the coffee. I could be talking to Jousuke right now but instead I'm getting coffee for the World's Worst Boss.

Natalie walked back over just as I picked up the cup "Just so you know, she's in a bad mood, like worse than usual." I sighed and walked up to her office, knocking on the door as she beckoned me in. She was at her desk, on the phone; crumpled bits of paper lay all over the floor.

"I don't care if your wife's just had a baby, you get your butt in here in 10 minutes or you're fired!" She screeched before putting the phone down and staring at me coldly.

"Uh I got you your cappuccino, the latte's not working." I said as I placed it on her desk, she narrowed her eyes at me. "I didn't ask for a cappuccino, a latte, LATTE. Is that so hard to understand? I don't want this-"
"-but the machine was-" I tried but she cut me off.
"Go to the café across the street, get me a latte."
"b-but" I said.
"Go." she said simply, shooing me away with her hands. I walked to the door.
"Oh and Tachimukai. I need you here over the weekend. So if you've got any plans - that I highly doubt you have- I suggest you cancel them." I stopped in my tracks and turned around, she flashed a sickening smile at me before shooing me out of her office rudely once again. "Off you pop."

Natalie and Riku were standing by my desk eating their lunches. "I hate her. She wants me to go to the flipping café and get her a latte! She said I have to work this weekend too, which I can't do because I'm supposed to be spending time with Tsunami!" I shouted. Usually I'd never raise my voice in the office but Shannon just made me so mad all the time. 'Maybe if you weren't so much of a doormat all the time she'd pick on someone else instead.'

I looked around the office and sighed, most us us here had the same problems with Shannon but at she definitely treats me the worst. I suppose it's because I'm quiet and don't stick up for myself. And because I'm gay.
'I'm surprised she's not fired you for that yet, she's threatened it many times.'
'It's because you always do what she says without fighting back, you're like a dog-'

"I'll get her latte Tachimukai don't worry." Riku offered, shaking me out of my worrying thoughts.
Natalie and him are my best friends here and I'm grateful for them. I'm sure if it wasn't for them I would've snapped by now. I smiled a small thanks to him and watched him walking over to the lift.

"Call Tsunami. Let him know what happened okay?" Natalie told me as I sat down in my chair. I got my phone out, pausing for a moment 'There you go again, running to complain to Tsunami-san like you always do. Don't you think he has other things to be worrying about? You're always bothering him!' I shook my head, trying to ignore my thoughts and dialled his number. Tsunami picked up at once, I sat and told him what happened. He was not pleased at all.

"Yuuki, doesn't she have a Personal Assistant to do all of that stuff? You need to be straight with her and tell her that she can't push you around like this anymore."
I sighed, it wasn't as simple as that. "But, what if she fires me? I can't lose this job Tsunami!" I said, starting to feel even worse. "Do you like this job? No, of course you don't!" He stated and I sighed again, looking down at my bowl and picking up a piece of chicken. I never wanted to work a boring office job like this but I didn't have a choice, I failed so many interviews just because of how nervous and jittery I was. They'd always ask me what my strengths were, and I could never answer, because I don't have any strengths, I'm no good at anything really, they were looking for leaders- I'm the furthest thing from that.

Tsunami on the other hand- he's a great leader. He does what he wants and always pumps people up, I'm just a shy little scaredy-cat. When I did the interview for this place there was actually a nice lady from HR doing it, I was surprised I got in (until I found out the only reason was because a bunch of people had quit and they were desperate for staff), but I still thought it might be okay, until I met the boss...

"Yuuki, are you listening to me? You're never gonna be happy if you stay and I don't want that." I nodded my head silently.
"I'm not forcing you but at least have a think okay? We can always sort something out, I have to go. I love you." he said and hung up as I replied the same thing.

He was right, I need to stand up to her, let her know she can't just push me around. I ate the rest of my food before seeing her walk out of her office. The room went ice cold as she stalked across the room, I sunk into my chair, praying that she would leave me alone.
'So much for standing up to her then...'
