While she was still a child, Jyn's village was attacked by the neighboring kingdom in the middle of the night. They left no survivors. But when dawn rose on the silent village covered in red, Jyn d'Alvir also awoke ─ the slit in her throat, gone.

Raised by the Scarlet Church, Jyn learned to control her gifts, closely related to life and death. Being the receptacle of a demon whose thoughts she shared, Jyn was considered by the Church as a vengeful deity. But her demon grew with her ─ until the day he took possession of her body for the first time.

When she came back to herself, Jyn had no idea what the demon had done. One thing was for certain: this demon was pure rage and chaos, and his desire for revenge against those who had harmed him was endless.

Jyn could no longer die. She was no longer completely human. But would she be able to control the monster growing inside her?

Finally, Jyn was able to live whatever life she wanted to live ─ with a few added perks, of course, since she couln't actually die. That had come handy more than once. The young woman, in the spent of a few years, had managed to get a very interesting group of friends. Her crew. Hunting tresors, travelling all over the world, the pirates ─ or bounty hunters, as they like to call themselves ─ truly were living the dream. Jyn's dream, at least : she finally had the two things that she had longed for for years. Freedom and a family.

But what is a half demon girl, if not a monster? And what happens when her path crosses with the most infamous monster hunter of the Continent?
