This chapter was rushed. I'll edit it later
Enjoy.
Leaving the room Eli felt nauseous not really understanding her sudden sickness, she falls behind without saying a word. The air around them was even eerier; not helping her situation.
But whenever she remembers her family her little sister and mother brought her more hope maybe she'll see them today. Her father couldn't seem to find his face anymore in her memories.
But seeing them would make her feel better, one year and some months of being captured and tortured only holding on one that one hope of seeing her family.
They came upon a grand door huge to be mistaken as the entrance of the house, knocking twice Alex push open as soon as the voice said come in.
Instantly all eyes glue to Eli's looks of shock wonder but searching eyes someone holding hidden pity, all in all, she felt uncomfortable.
"You need to sit down kid," a guy said at the far corner of the room his eyes glued to hers probably observing her scars her malnourished form, she couldn't help but realized his tone wavery to my ear.
Ashton and Alex stood afar off to the side their faces marked with something she couldn't put a finger on
Eli politely nodded following the instruction as she sat in the chair closest to her.
"Miss Eliza Bolton, welcome to the special forces headquarters I'm Johnathan Cooperman," he said stepping forward rushing his words yet speaking with carefulness.
"As in the name when the police can't find victims we step in, apologizes for the long wait" his eyes flash with remorse but in an instant it went his expressionless face telling no tale.
"Any questions before I start with mines," he said looking down at a document in hand before taking a seat, the others seem to be one with the wall observing me like creeps.
I shook my head, I did have questions but my throat seizes up. It's either the judging eyes or whatever I was supposed doesn't sound logical.
"My parents," I said without thinking looking in his eyes, his grey eyes filled with shock before going back to their original warmth.
My palm began to sweat confuse about his reaction, it's only been almost 2 years what could have happened?
"They are dead"
I suddenly heard having to do a double-take my neck almost breaking at the speed of looking up.
"Wha?"
"A year ago a tragic incident happens, gas leak the statement declares loose flame of a match"
"No that can't be true, where are my parents, my little s-sister, my little sister" I shouted both in anger fear, and sadness. My heartfelt to be ripping out of my chest a burning sensation filling in, it hurts.
That feeling again coming back full force knocking me off the chair. I heard a shuffle of feet but they halted their movements. I sat there on the dirty floor, denial being my only source of comfort, holding on to my chest as the tears sloppily decorated my face.
A numbness came over my being.
"Breathe E-Eliza" I heard the distant voice yelled Alex she shouted in frustration at not getting closer.
I couldn't hear her my ears rang as if bleeding, I couldn't think, I couldn't feel.
"I'm sorry for your loss..."
"...but it's just their time..."
I didn't know who was speaking I didn't even felt the hand that held on to me.
"Avery.."
"Copperman don't" Ashton spoke up in a warning voice making an attempt to get closer.
"Avery? Why you called me Avery?" I shouted through my broken voice.
I look desperately into his eyes what more can I hear that could break me even more.
"Your, not Eliza Bolton" he began brushing my hair from my sticky face, I could hear how careful he said each word.
"Your name is Avery Silo" my breath stop I felt the suffocating push on my chest. The image of the ghostly girl coming to me scares me more than ever, hearing those exact words that she said.
"I-I d-don't believe y-you, I don't believe any of this" I couldn't think straight, I push my body far away from his hitting the cold wall.
They started to approach but I only shake my head the realization too great of an effect. I felt my knees go limp hitting the floor sadly I felt no pain, numb.
I felt a hand touch me but I couldn't feel I couldn't hear the voices, it all sounded far away.
No that can't be true
No no why does this happen to me
No, it's not real I wanna hear from them, my parents.
I scream out my frustration my voice didn't sound like mine. No words were said it seems no one had anything to say anymore.
Broken
"Avery.." I feel the soft tug, pulling me from my thoughts.
"P-please that's not my name" I stuttered somehow hating how it sounded but why do I feel sudden sadness from just that name.
He still had his hand on my arm, not saying a word for a few minutes. The room itself was silent no one daring to say anything.
"You were kidnapped at age 14 the age as the real Eliza Bolton when she passes" he suddenly said in a soft tone careful with each word. He gave me time pausing but I didn't say anything it's only right to hear.
"After that accident 7 years ago Eliza was in a very bad shape, she got hit by a driver under the influence"
'We're losing her'
'No please save my daughter please'
"As you know Jayvin McGill plays a big part in the accident, he is a murderer that's also why he ends up in prison, not on attempted murder but 1st-degree murder"
'You son of a bitch, I hope you rot in there'
'Honey... Please'
"They did an awful thing right after that" he stopped for a while searching my face for anything to stop him from going further.
"A small girl Avery Silo, you rushing to the drug store wanting to buy medicine for your sick grandmother"
'Can't help you kid, I suggest you leave'
'P-please I'm begging you p-please'
"Broken, lost in the shallow hole of losing their daughter they felt that they had lost everything after that, but they saw a small girl with similar feature to their daughter"
'Is everything okay child'
'We'll help... just come with me I'll make everything better
"on the verge of helplessness, she felt it wasn't right wanting to go to her grandma"
'We're your family now
'I don' need you talking like I'm not your mother, I AM YOUR MOTHER'
"You can't remember due to a mechanism of yours for blocking out the bad past, forgetting the "
"Monsters all disguise themself as Angel's and they were no different".
