Ellies' POV

All of these days having sex with random guys I don't know was hard. Pain. I expected it to be pleasure but it wasn't. I just hoped I wouldn't get pregnant.

I decided to take a break from asking for money and just sit at the beach at the basketball park. I saw a blonde guy with a ginger tip on the front. That reminded me of Ed... He was wearing a hoodie and jeans and was playing basketball. He was awfully sweaty. I decided to hang out with him even if he really looked like Ed He wore a god damn hoodie and jeans for Christs sake!

"Hi."I said and he turned to me."My name's Mike."He said and we shook hands."My name's Ellie."I said and he smiled. "A beautiful name for a beautiful lady."He said and kissed my hand. I blushed and smiled at the compliment. He seemed to noticed my blush. And him playing basketball reminded me of the time meeting Ed. We played basketball. The thought made me Edsick. I missed him like missing home. Homesick, no Edsick. "Are you ok? You look kinda out."Mike said worried looking. I went to sit down and he came to sit down with me.

"What's up?"He asked me and I put my head in my hands sobbing. "I miss him."I said. "What?"He asked me confused, my head still in my hands. "He promised, he promised he would come!"I screamed. "Who?"He asked me. "Ed."I said. "Ed?"He asked. Why does he need to know more? "I'm s-so s-stupid. I-i -l-ove him."I said stuttering and shaking."Who, do I know him?"He asked me. "Y-yes."I stuttered again. "Well...Who is it?"He asked me making circles in my back. "Ed..."I said. "Last name?"He asked me."...S-Sheeran."I said and stuttered again. "What?"He asked me. I didn't answer. "Calm down and talk to me."He said.

"Tell me your story." He said. "I met him at a park and we played basketball. He was so kind and sweet. We were good friends and then Jake, my ex, beat him up, because he thought we were doing 'things'. One morning I woke up and he was there. We chat and I heard the fire alarm go off. He got distructed by me and forgot about the bacon and eggs. My house got burned and I needed to stay at the hospital. He said he had to go with his dad at Suffolk. I got angry and he didn't like it so he tried to commit suicide but his dad saved him. He came at the hospital too and we had time to hang out for a week. Before he left, I don't know why, but I kissed him. He left. At a TV show he told me he would come here again but he didn't. He left. He left."I said.

"I can help you."He said and I unburried my face from my hands and smiled at him. That's when I realised I could heal my heart with Mike. I know I'm just using him, but maybe I'll grow feelings with him soon and I'll forget about Ed.

I have to do this.
