The Orb
Virgil slowly walked towards the orb, confused but relieved. When he reached it he saw all of Patton's happiest memories, he watched them all. After he finished all of the memories he slowly bent down to touch the orb, but found himself slowly feeling more and more happy, as if the orb was trying to help him. His hands traced it, it was warm to the touch and felt almost like glass, so Virgil wouldn't take the chance of dropping it. He looked over at the people he deeply cared for, before walking towards Patton, who still had a faint red glow to his eyes. He handed him the orb, expecting it to just be absorbed but was genuinely confused as it just sat in Patton's hands.
Patton looked at the orb then back at Virgil, "What am I supposed to do with this?" he asked. Virgil turned towards Logan, who looked far more confused. Roman suddenly spoke up, "I think it's because there's still some of hatred and wrath in him, his happy personality might be rejecting the orb as it tries to solve the problem." Logan looked surprised before smacking himself, "Of course, if we get Hatred to remove the parts of her in his mind, theoretically, his body would accept the memories." Both the boys turned to Virgil while Virgil was confused. "Virgil," Roman started carefully, "she seems to tolerate you the most so..." he trailed off. Virgil became upset, "No." he stated firmly, "You would stop Patton from being corrupted again." pointed out Logan. Virgil sighed angerily, "Fine, only for Patton though." They all nodded as Roman grabbed Patton, unwillingly might I add. As they entered Thomas's mind they instantly noticed a change.
Instead of the usual beige walls, they got was cracked, blue walls. Pieces were all off and exposed Thomas's dark thought. Roman stepped on a weak point and watched in horror as the place where he just stood collapsed. They continued on shakily but they knew in an instant they were there as they saw a large throne, with Wrath sitting there, Deceit next to her. "Ah, what do I owe the pleasure?" Virgil was forcefully pushed into the room as the doors behind him shut, locking him, Deceit, and Wrath in the same room. "Deceit, give me a few minutes dear, will you." It wasn't a question, it was an order. Virgil stepped forward, "Return all that you left in Patton back to yourself." He ordered, not in the mood. Wrath stood from her throne, walking towards Virgil, stopping in front of him, "Why should I?" She asked, an amused tone in her voice. "Patton needs his memories back! I won't let you corrupt him again!" he yelled angerily. "Fine. On one condition." Her voice no longer held amusement, rather her tone was serious, and held no room for bargaining. "Name your price" He spat out angerily. " Deceit and I get a room outside of Thomas's mind, as well as food and privacy." Virgil was taken aback, "Can I discuss this with the others?" he asked hopefully, "No." he sighed before hesitantly agreeing. "Bring him to me, and I shall rid my 'Hatred' and 'Wrath' as you call it, from him."
