Belle had gone back to Kristie's room to take her to her scan seeing as earlier she was sent back due to the Scanner having been in use, and when they returned Belle and a nurse were checking Katie's vitals and temperature when a couple rushed in, the woman saying "Katie, honey, mom and dad are here." Bele took a step back and said "They gave her a sedative for the CT scan, so she's a little groggy." 

the couple turned to her and the woman inquired "Will she be all right?" while the man added "Our doctor at home said she might need an operation, is that true?" making the mother finish "What kind of operation?" Belle smiled at the parents before clutching the medical file in front of her and explaining "I'm not the doctor on the case, I'm a doctor, but I'm not Katie's doctor, so I can't actually give you any concrete answer to the questions. I can, however, tell you that while in here Katie will be taken care of and be kept under a watchful eye." 

The parents nodded and the father inquired "Can you tell us where the doctor is?" "I'll go get him for you." She told the dad with a soft smile before leaving the room again, heading straight for the doctor's lounge room, nearly crashing against her attending, Bailey. "What?" She instantly inquires, "Katie's parents have questions regarding their daughter's situation. Do you talk to them, or do I ask Dr. Burke?" Belle explained while inquiring prompting Bailey to think for a moment before replying "No, Burke's off the case, Katie belongs to the new attending now, Dr. Shepherd, he's over there." 

Belle walks inside the room as Bailey leaves, looking around for the person Bailey called Dr. Shepherd, when she suddenly stops, her eyes locking on the figure of the man she had let sleep at her house the previous night and she could only assume that he was the new attending. Derek was talking to another doctor when he glances up, needing to do a double-take as Belle walks towards him. "Dr. Shepherd, excuse me for interrupting but I heard that the Katie Bryce case was passed to you." she said, professional-like, making Derek stare at her in mild shock before replying "Yes?" "Katie's parents are in her room, with questions that I, an intern, couldn't reply to." Belle explained, the other two doctors that were standing there quickly understood that Derek had to leave seeing that when Belle handed Derek the file and turned to leave, he followed her.

Belle walked down the corridor to go find Bailey to see what she was to do when suddenly her arm was gripped and she was pulled into the stairwell, "Dr.Shepherd..." she began, afraid that someone might walk in on them. "Dr. Shepherd? This morning it was Derek. Now it's Dr. Shepherd." Derek inquired, slightly incredulous. "Dr. Shepherd, we should pretend it never happened." Belle tried to say calmly, "What never happened, you letting me sleep at your place last night? Or you throwing me out this morning? Because both are fond memories I'd like to hold onto." Derek teased.

"No. There will be no memories. I'm not the girl in the bar anymore, and you're not the guy. This can't exist. You get that, right?"Belle said, stepping closer to the older man and crossing her free arms, "And why not? I can sleep on the couch and then at nearly 5 in the morning I can slip in your bed." He continued, "Derek, I came here to get back in contact with my roots and to get released from my past, the bad part of it, not to be a possible booty call for a great kisser, who happens to be a doctor." Belle confided, shaking her head at the older doctor. 

"You think I'm a great kisser?" he smirked making Belle groan slightly before looking up at him and replying "That's beside's the point. You're an attending. And I'm your intern. Stop looking at me like that." Belle chasticed, "Like what?" Derek replied, pretending to be innocent, "Like you've seen me naked." Belle retorts causing the older doctor to smirk and reply "I haven't but I want to. How about Friday night?" The redheaded intern smiled at the older doctor before saying "Dr. Shepherd. This is inappropriate on so many levels. Has that ever occurred to you?" before standing on the tip of her toes and giving him a ghost kiss on his cheeks and whispering "You still owe me breakfast." before walking away.
