Chaotic mind

Confused state

"How long did you know of this?"

"A-"

How are you so sure it was me?"

"I-"

"Wait why can't I remember any of it?"

I clutched my head, trying to scan all the data stored in my memory, in an attempt to find that one special moment and relive it in my head.

"You need to sit down flower, we don't you having another panic attack, now do we?"

Atlas led me to the chair and sat me down before dragging his chair across the table close to mine. His eye level reached mine and his galvanising gaze had me instantly simmering down, his eyes are so different at these times, more soft than I knew eyes could be. If it were anyone else, I would drop my gaze, but with him, its different, I'm drawn in close, always wanting more.

It's different, because he doesn't speak out his thoughts and emotions, he shows them.

Either through his eyes, actions or demeanour.

"Now that you seem more settled, you don't remember it because you were merely 4 years old and I don't think your tiny brain at that time processed the information into your long term memory"

"But I have an excellent memory" I said in a low, sad, baby voice.

He chuckled, making it the best moment of tonight.

It was light, laced with amusement. The curves of his lips completely enveloped his face, the melodious tune was contagious and the way his eyes crinkled at the corner made him look a thousand times younger and attractive. Gone was my Grumpy pants and replaced with this version of him.

"You didn't answer my questions"

"I know"

I waited for him to continue and when he didn't, I raised my brows at him.

"So"

"So?"

"Are you serious?"

He shrugged.

OH MY GOD THIS MAN IS ECCENTRIC AND IRRITATING THE HELL OUTTA ME RIGHT NO-

"What's the rush? Your brain has been bombarded with a lot of things, give it time to process it before filling it with more, besides, I have a lot planned out for tonight and I don't intend on spending it like this, with you being distressed"

You were saying?

Ahem, uhm, he's not that bad.

We spent the next hour having light, fun-filled conversation while eating the heavenly food in front of us. It was mostly me speaking as always but the random inputs from him made my heart swell.

a loud music started playing out of nowhere and I was so busy looking for the source of where it came from that I failed to see Atlas standing in front of me, extending his hand. My face contoured into shock.

He knows how to dance?!

Well he's no Alien, of course he does

I know he's not an Alien, but he's Atlas. I internally rolled my eyes.

"Do me the honour"

"No"

I folded my arms and looked the other way

"Why?"

"You cannot order me around, ask me nicely and I'll reconsider the offer"

I could hear him sighing loudly and see him clenching his teeth from my lateral field of vision before a frustrated yet soft voice reached my ears,

"Would you do the honour of lending me this dance, Mi Lady?"

A small smile involuntarily made it's way to my lips, I locked my hand with his when I felt a sudden spark tingling it's way to my entire body, his shocked face looking at our locked fingers confirmed my thoughts.

He can feel this too.

Atlas's POV

A small smile spread across her beautiful face as I led to an area where there weren't any petals laying because I was aware of her undying love for flowers and petals. I placed my one hand on her back with her hand on my shoulder and our free hands cuffing with each other. Together we danced, our feet in perfect sync and as time proceeded, I could feel her tight muscles relaxing, enabling a small smile to erupt on my lips.

She looked magnificent today, words aren't enough to define her beauty. Not only physical, but her inner beauty too. It was extremely hard for me to look away from her today because my eyes wanted to keep gazing at her, and only her.

I'm still the Arrogant, ruthless and intimidating man everyone knows me to be. Don't get me wrong by thinking I've changed, its just that I fail to control myself when she's around me, she isn't just beautiful, she makes the space around her beautiful too, she's a flower that makes others bloom, that makes me bloom, she's the gold that illuminates the darkness within me with her shimmer.

MY Gold

My hands brushed across her exceptionally soft cheeks and she blinked her eyes close, my fingers tingled in delight and raw emotions surged through my body.

I drew her close to my chest and she wrapped her arms around my neck, my body was acting on its own, no chains to hold me back from heaven. She set her head on my shoulder, we continued to dance, too lost in ourselves to halt.

I checked my watch

Anytime now

Loud crackling and exploding sounds definitely astonished Gold but after she registered what was happening she clasped my hand in excitement. Fireworks bursting through the dark night, igniting it in different colours, announcing the end of the date, was the best part of the date. She was jumping like a kid introduced to his favourite toy.

I was least interested in the view but watching her expressions, how her face shined as the lights illuminated it, how her smile had no boundaries, it was like a perfect photograph I would click and keep it close to me forever.

"It's amazing!"

I looked at her and smiled

Yes you are.

"Yes, that'll be great and just make sure you keep monitoring his vitals. I revised the treatment plan this morning, please make sure the nurse follows it, uh huh, yes and-"

I am currently driving her home and enjoying this professional, confident, bossy, yet kind side of her.

"Hello? Oh shoot my battery died, hey do you have a charger?"

I pointed to the glove compartment without losing my focus on the road.

"Got it, thanks. Wait a minute"

My eyes glanced at her red and contoured face for a second before going back to driving.

"What.the.hell.is.this"

Oh no.

Before you guys plan on ways you could stuff me up and export me to an unknown place or worse, kill me, I apologise for my absence. College, submissions, exams occupied the entire day, depriving me of any free time. These few weeks have been hard for me, hope you understand.
