I know I said this chapter will be all about Emma and Ariel but I decided to change things up. So to make it up for that, I tried to make this chapter longer and as interested as possible. Hope you like it❤️.

Veronica's POV

"This is not an Ice cream corner" Atlas grumbled.

"Uhhhhh, Duh"

We were currently at a particular someone's backyard at 3 A.M. It was quite easy to manipulate Atlas into coming with me, it just took a fake episode of craving ice cream because of  hormonal imbalance due to my endometrium rupture. I mixed in a few tears too, you know, to make it look real.

He looked at me as if I was the craziest woman he's ever met, I knew he wasn't going to start talking anytime soon so I sighed.

"We are getting revenge on my dear cousin Leo because according to what Emma told me, he isn't going back, infact he's planning to set up a main headquarter here, sure he'll be flying in and out to check in on the other branches but he's settling here."

"So?"

"So? SO? That sly rat tricked and guilted me into coming to the party, saying he's gonna leave in a week and wanted to hangout at least once before he left, and no one, I mean no one, can emotionally blackmail me and get away with it. So we are gonna get a payback!"

"We? Why am I involved in this?"

Wow, he surely asks a lot of questions. Wait a minute! he's talking, I mean they are just questions but its something.

Okay we don't have time for this Ver, you can overthink about this later, focus on the plan right now.

"If I wouldn't come to the party, Liza wouldn't tell me t- I mean I wouldn't volunteer to let you be my roommate and you wouldn't be stuck with me, plus I need someone to climb up the ladder and open the window from outside. It required a lot of strength to do that, because that stupid window is huge and heavy and by looking at those muscles, I  think you are the perfect candidate. You will climb up, enter his room and then help me climb in too because the ladder is short, did I mention you are tall too? you'll easily be able to get in."

Phew! I was so close to slipping out the Liza thing, hopefully he didn't notice it. I looked at him to double check and as always his face was void of emotions but I'm pretty sure I could notice amusement dancing in his eyes, I was sure of that because his eyes were the only source of light, shining in the dark.

"You talk a lot"

"Good questi- Wait what? Excuse me? How dare you?" I gasped.

I don't think he heard what I said because he was busy staring at the things I bought with me. I  snapped my fingers at him, to get his attention but failed at it miserably. 

And the non-verbal grumpy pants is bac-

"You are going to wrap him up in toilet paper, put fake spiders on him and then blast loud music to wake him up"

I gaped at him, "Jake Peralta much?"

"You can record the whole thing and share it on social media, considering the huge fan following it'll definitely go viral. You can also choose a horrible song for the music part" 

I'm pretty sure I look like a goldfish, rapidly opening and closing my mouth.

Is he for real?

"Pinch me" I extended my hand, he just rolled his eyes and started climbing the ladder.

"Heyyy, pinch me before you go"

yup, no response.

It took us exactly 12 minutes and 57 seconds in setting everything up, yeah yeah I'm a freak who keeps track of seconds too, judge me all you want.

Leo was currently all wrapped in a white toilet paper, with fake spiders all over him and to take it up to the next level, I used a red permanent marker to draw two cute circles on his cheeks and a black marker to write a big 'LOSER' on his forehead.

I switched on the night lamp when Atlas immediately gestured me to switch it off.

"Don't worry, he won't wake up. He can literally sleep through an earthquake without waking up." I whispered.

He still seemed a little hesitant but I paid no heed and started setting up my phone on a small table across the room where his sleeping body could clearly be captured.

I pressed the 'start recording' button and played the song. A few seconds later, a deafening sound reached his ears, waking him up.

' I'M A BARBIE GIRL, IN THE BARBIE WORLD, LIFE IN PLASTIC, IT'S FANTASTIC. YOU CAN BRUSH MY HAIR, UNDRESS ME EVERYWHERE'

Leo franctically woke up and struggled to tear the paper, he rubbed his eyes to clear his vision when he noticed the spiders and screamed louder than the speakers blasting the music.

"AAAAAHHHHH, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, HELP! GET THEM OFF OF ME" he tried to shoo away the spiders in the funniest way possible and that's when I couldn't hold it in anymore and bursted out laughing.

His eyes widened when he looked at me and that's when it dawned upon him that it was all fake. He froze for a while, examining the spider, and flicked them off when he came to a conclusion that they were fake. That made me laugh out louder.

I stopped recording and tucked the phoned in my pocket, glancing at Atlas to see him leaned on a wall, hands in his pocket, trying to keep a straight face, enjoying the show.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME? YOU SCARED THE FUCK OUT OF ME NOT TO MENTION, THE AWESOME DREAM THAT YOU RUINED, I'M GONNA HAVE NIGHTMARES FOR DAYS. I THINK I'VE DEVELOPED ARACHNOPHOBIA!!."

I winced when he cursed out loud but nevertheless I enlightened him with the information he needed and that's when he sheepishly smiled and scratched his ear.

"This was a bit too harsh"

"Oh honey, you don't even know what harsh means, just go and look at your reflection in the mirror" his eyes widened and he ran into the washroom, mumbling 'what did this psychopath do now', when I grabbed Atlas's hand and rushed out.

We were climbing down the stairs, almost near the main door when we heard a scream.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HANDSOME FACE"

And that ladies and gentlemen is how you make an unforgettable exit. Not seeing us there is gonna make him go crazy.

My giggle turned into a full blown laughter. We didn't stop though, we reached the car and drove off.

Halfway through the road, I realised something.

"So what's your deal?" He raised his eyesbrows at me, focusing his eyes back to driving.

" You know a lot about pranks, you guessed everything right, merely by a glance and came up with better stuff in no time, I'm guessing you were the prank king in your high school. Any particular funny incidents you wanna tell me?"

" Jake Peralta much?"

" Hey that's my line"

" Detesto ammetterlo... ma hai ragione.
Mi sento come se fossi io quando sono con te"

"Say what now?"

"ma non è necessario che tu lo sappia"
