— TIME JUMP
yes there is quite a time jump from the end of book one to this one. while writing zoe & i wanted to get as far away from canon as possible. even in the early 2020 days we had an desire to stray away from canon during the events of dealthy hallows. with that said, alot as changed since then. these characters have become a part of us in deep emotional ways, and therefore so has their stories. we also deeply admire and love each of you readers and wanted to do something incredibly new. therefore, the time jump. while i will not explain the whole time jump ( spoilers ) i will say the basics.
hogwarts during the start of this book has fallen, no kids besides death eater/pureblood children will attend hogwarts. safe for a few slytherins that im kidnapping & giving redemption arcs. ( time to erase the stereotype that slytherins are evil, idgaf ) the ministry is also fallen, some order members are undercover but they are very few. the golden trio has not yet left for their horcrux run, i believe it is crucial they actually do research and understand what they are doing + the effects of wearing a horcrux. while winnie is not much involved in this, and therefore we will hear little, — as winnie is an UNRELIABLE NARRATOR!!!! — we will hear from them at the start before they go. most importantly, people have died. i know harry potter characters are very dear to people and don't worry, i won't be killing everyone, but people have & will die during this book. it is a war, people will die and get injured.
— RAIDS & MISSIONS
the order is basically split into safe houses all over the word. using funding from outside sources to aid their group. winnie is always with draco malfoy. — due to their lives being interlinked — they still have a very strained relationship but i plan to have them further develop until they form a very close bound with each other. with that said, there will be random characters popping up every now and then. but our main cast will be posted in a 'supporting characters' section soon.
— HAPPY ENDING
yes! this will have a happy ending still. it's just gonna take some time but theo and winnie have always, always been a slow born. they may not be as much enemies to lovers as i wish, they are still very stubbornly and complex in their own way. they will get their happy ending, i just always planned for it to take awhile. this is not a romance story, its winnie's story with a romance plot on the side. keep that in mind.
