Chapter 2: Why did you do this to me?

After talking with the Captain, Barry was nervous. Would someone else notice? He really couldn't tell Joe or Iris or anyone that he had screwed Cold, or about the heartbreak, he was feeling, so he just needed to GET OVER IT!!!

But it wasn't that easy. He had gotten a taste of heaven, and now he couldn't come back to Earth. How was he supposed to?

But he needed to. He was the half-son of a cop and a CSI. And the flipping Flash! How could he put all of that at risk? That was selfish. He shouldn't put everything on the line just for some crush. For some villain.

Suddenly, he heard a knock

Suddenly, he heard a knock. "Come on in," he said. Iris barged in like she owned the place. Barry almost snorted. Iris was being a little bit rude. She barged in, and from the looks of it, didn't notice how he was feeling, and likely didn't care.

He was, of course, exactly right.

"Eddie's being so unreasonable," she pouted. "He says that I should talk to him about the stuff I talk to you about. And stop seeing you." Barry was already bored. Wait for it. Wait. Waiiiiiiitttttttt.

"Wally said the same thing. He was eavesdropping on us! The nerve!" There it was. Wally always had something bad to say about Barry. Always. And the worst thing was, she told him what Wally said. And her standpoint on it.

He hated it. A lot.

Wally was a jerk, at least, according to Barry. He always said what he was thinking, and he never shut up.

Joe and Iris usually took his side too. Whenever he would tell them, they would just dismiss it. Say he was overreacting. That he didn't mean it. Surrrrrreeeeee.

He didn't like Iris like that anymore. When Wally joined the family, she slowly started ditching him. Stopped seeing him at all. So did Joe. Said he wanted to get to know his other son. Barry's question was if all he wanted was to get to know Wally, then why did he never visit the lab anymore? Or Barry himself?

"So, yeah. I hate that he always listens in. So rude," Iris said. Hypocrite thought Barry. Iris looked at Barry. Normally, he would give her advice or comfort, but today he had none to give. Instead, he said, "Iris, look. I have a lot of work to get done, but I'm really sorry about Wally and Eddie.

"See ya later," he said as she left.

Whatever. Snart was the reason he was being a jerk today. Len was a jerk. What did Barry see in him?

He quickly finished the rest of his day without incident. Thank God. Then he ran to STAR Labs, where he almost ran into Cisco. "Yo, man, slow down!" Barry may or may not have smirked with that comment. Especially with the slight pun.

"Anyway, hurry! A bank is being robbed as we speak!"

"Why didn't you start with that?" Barry grumbled as he sped into his suit.

Then he ran to the bank. There, waiting by the vault where his partners were robbing it, was Snart.

Rogues: Sara Lance, Leonard Snart, Mick Rory, Lisa Snart, Shawna, Bivolo, Mark

He could not focus. At all. All he could think about was vibrating. He vibrated. Barry vibrated.

Ugh. He couldn't get any work done. He really needed to get laid. But wasn't that the problem?

What he needed was to see Barry. That's it. He really should see Barry. But wouldn't be mad at him for blowing him off? But that's not Barry's style. Is it? Or maybe mad at the note? Or mad it had happened?

No. He really, really, really shouldn't visit Barry. He's a villain for crying out loud! But it's Barry!

I need help, he thought. I really do.

Suddenly, everyone was looking at him. Did I say that out loud? he thought. God, I hope not. Then he realized that Lisa was looking at him. Obviously, she had said something, but Len had no idea what it was. This was going to be weird. Should he say yes or no? Probably, knowing Lisa, no, but he also didn't want to make a mistake in planning a huge heist. This was a problem.

"Lenny?" Lisa asked, obviously suspicious. How to get her nose away from Barry? He could not tell her that he had slept with the Flash, or the heartbreak he was feeling. He would be admitting that he was in love with his enemy. And that he'd slept with him.

Now, how to avoid that topic...

"Boss? It's kinda important that you answer," Mick said. Len looked up. "Wasn't listening. Repeat."

Mick looked up in shock upon hearing this. Since when does Lenny not listen? Or admit it?

Everyone looked like Mick. Completely, utterly amazed.

Except for Lisa. She just looked suspicious. Len almost rolled his eyes. Hopefully, she wouldn't figure it out. Otherwise, he was screwed worse than Barry had screwed him.

"I said," Lisa said with distaste and annoyance, "That we need to know when the guards will be guarding." That's right. He and Sara were scouting the bank across the street from the bar. So, naturally, they needed some drinks. Then he got drunk, Sara rejected him, and he screwed Barry. So, in other words, he had never actually scouted the bank. Uh-oh.

"I actually never checked out the bank," he admitted.

Everyone literally gasped that time. He just rolled his eyes. Seriously? Was he just that cold and emotionless? (He smiled at the pun)

"Meeting adjourned," he said as he got up, turned around, and headed to the exit before Mick and Lisa could catch him. He was, sadly, unsuccessful.

"Hey, Boss!" he heard over the "Leonard!" surprisingly. Usually, Lisa was louder.

Suddenly, he was cornered and looking for ways to escape. When they saw his eyes darting around, Mick and Lisa almost backed up. That was usually a sign of either a panic attack or getting punched. There were some times when that didn't matter, and Len would need to be surrounded because otherwise, he would run. And, usually, he wouldn't punch Lisa. Or Mick. This was not one of those times.

In his defense, he was really stressed.

As soon as he was surrounded, he started to swing his fists. He felt Mick grab them before he could hurt Lisa, and stared him down. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew that Mick would release him when he lost some of the tension, but he really didn't care. He had to get away. Now.

He started to pant. At this point, he was desperate. He had to get away. He had to get away. It was a mantra. Over and over. He didn't even know why. All he knew was he had to get away.

Suddenly, he was so tired. He didn't want to fight anymore. He just wanted to see Barry. But he couldn't. Ugh. He was confused. He wanted to see Barry, but he couldn't. Why?

Suddenly, Mick's face was in front of his. When did that happen? Then Lisa was there, somehow holding him in her arms. Huh? This felt nice. When was the last time he had been in her arms?

What's happening? This doesn't make sense.

"Shhhhhhh, it's ok, it's ok, it's ok," he heard Lisa say. He looked up. Into his sister's eyes. He remembered those eyes.

He was in his mother's arms, watching his father pace the room, cursing angrily, and loudly. He was scared. What was wrong with father?

Mother was very anxious. Len didn't know why.

"Honey, calm down. It's ok. They won't find us." Father growled at Mother. "Shut up, Bitch! You don't know anything!" He continued to pace angrily, calling Mother nasty names, saying she didn't know what she was talking about.

Len knew better than to cry, even at that age. Len also didn't what to look at Father anymore, so instead, he looked up into his Mother's smiling face. "Shhh, it's ok' it's ok, it's ok.

Len looked up at Lisa, heard her whispering those same words, and lost it. He couldn't keep this mask up forever, and he was safe with her, so he let his guard down.

He cried into her arms for hours, never talking, just remembering his Mother's smiling face, just for him, even with how Father was treating her. That was how much she had loved him.

A few weeks later, Len was starting to lose cash. He needed to rob another bank, no matter the chance of running into Barry.

So he did, and that was how he'd ended up in front of the Flash.
