((Y/N)'s POV) Age: 6

It's been a month since we moved to Japan from California and Mommy said things were going to get better for us because we would have more money, I can still talk to my friends online, and we get a fresh start to make more friends. Well, we got more money and a fresh start with a bigger apartment, but my friends slowly cut me out since times are way too different over here, so when I wake up, it's either bedtime for them soon or they are already asleep. Kids at my new school don't really talk to me because if you want to fit in, this one group said I need to do something bad or gross, but I didn't do any of that so I didn't get new friends, and just stay home from when I get back to school... I hate it here!

(Y/N)-*Sigh*... At least I have my games. 

Going on public matches and servers was too hard to play on because people were too good at the game, so I just played offline or one-player games. Today was the last day of school before summer and this place had something called summer assignments Mommy helped me get through half of them which took all day, but I just got out of the shower and got dressed for the night. I looked in the mirror and... I remember summers being happier.

(Y/N)'s mind-Ok, so there is homework in the summer... Which is stupid because vacations should not have homework, but half is done and Mommy is going to be at work tomorrow. Perfect time to relax and find more indoor things to do.

When I walked out into the living room, I saw Mommy sitting on the couch.

Mommy-Hey, Sweetie. I have some pork chops and loaded potatoes in the oven for dinner. Wanna sit with me and talk for a little bit?

(Y/N)-Um... I wanted to go play some games in my room. I did a lot of homework today.

Mommy-Well... Ok. Just come out when I call you for dinner.

(Y/N)-I will.

((M/N)'s POV)

I am getting worried for (Y/N). I came out here and promised a fresh start and teachers are telling me he is not socializing with the other children, he tells me what some kids wanted him to do to be friends like all of this stuff that will get him in trouble or possibly hurt which I am glad he doesn't do, and now his old friends don't talk to him that much anymore because of the timezones being so different, it's either he is sleeping or in school or something. I am trying to get him to go out and make some friends, but he's stopped trying, and making might have him really try to force himself so hard he will fall into the wrong crowd or into a group that will just bully him.

(M/N)-*Sigh* What am I going to do?

I can't leave him alone in here all the time when I go to work and let him seclude himself, but I can't force it too much or there is a chance something will go wrong... I guess all I could do now is try to find a babysitter to watch (Y/N) while I am gone. I remember this woman that was very nice and so were her kids.

(M/N)'s mind-I suppose calling and asking couldn't hurt. I could even pay them to babysit.

(Kari's POV)

I was in my room with Gatomon while Tai left home to go to soccer camp, so I planned with the girls for the summer and even our Digimon were going to be coming with us. Gatomon just wants to go to a place where there is not a lot of swimming. While I was chatting online to make plans, Mom came in and Gatomon came out from under my bed.

Kari-Hey, Mom.

Mom-Hey, Sweetie. Ms. (L/N) just called and she asked if you would be able to babysit (Y/N) tomorrow.

It took me a moment, but I remembered her. She's our new neighbor who moved in down the hall a few weeks ago. I don't really see her son (Y/N) outside playing, but I don't really keep an eye out for that. Come to think of it... I never really saw him come out since the first week he came. Still, it sounds like Ms. (L/N) needed help and Mom talked about her paying me, but...

Kari-It's ok. I don't need to be paid. I'll gladly help.

Mom-Are you sure? She is going to ask you to be there all day and (Y/N) is having a hard time adjusting.

Kari-I'll work for food and drinks there, but I don't need money.

Gatomon-What about for fish or summer plans?

Kari-Gatomon... What time should I be there?

Mom-Around 9 and I'll have her drop by a key. I'll make your favorite tonight for dinner though.

She closed the door and Gatomon stretched before hopping on my bed.

Gatomon-Will I be going tomorrow?

Kari-You can if you want. She's met you before.

Gatomon-She gave me a weird look. It really rubbed me the wrong way.

Kari-She just wasn't used to you, yet. I'm sure helping out will help her get used to you.

Gatomon-I still didn't meet this son of hers. 

Kari-I saw him... once or twice. He's just shy. Let's head to bed early and be ready to head there tomorrow. I'm sure the others will understand.

((Y/N)'s POV)

(Y/N)-But I don't need a babysitter if I stay inside!

Mommy said she hired that girl with that talking cat Digimon down the hall Kari. Mommy didn't give me a choice and instead told me that she couldn't leave me home alone and Kari is a really sweet girl. It can just be us playing games tomorrow together and maybe even going out to play.

Mommy-I think it could be fun tomorrow. Just give it a chance.

(Y/N)-... Ok... What time are you gonna be home tomorrow?

Mommy-Around 4 o'clock. Just like normal.

After dinner, I went back to play my game some more while thinking about tomorrow. Is Kari really a nice girl or is she just acting like the kids at school? When it was bedtime, I was allowed to keep my TV on the home screen for soft light while I closed my eyes to fall asleep.

*Tap*

(Y/N)-Huh?

I looked at my window and saw a tail passing by the window. It was just a cat, so I closed my eyes again. I felt nervous and thought about going to ask Mommy if I could sleep with her, but if I did that she would think I needed a babysitter more often.

(Timeskip To Morning)

Mommy and I finished breakfast and I cleaned my plate with her before going to get washed up and dressed for the day. Kari was going to be here and Mommy wanted me clean for when she gets here and when I was washed, dried off, and dressed, I went out to the living room to see Mommy already left. I took a deep breath because I knew she was going to drop off a key for Kari, so I just prepared for the worst in case it happened.

(Y/N)-She's just a girl... with a talking cat monster. Nothing to worry about because you have the house phone in your room.

Just then I heard a knock at the door before it opened and when I looked I saw it was Kairi and before I thought she could see me... I ran to my room.

Kari-*Giggles* Hey, there's no need to be afraid or shy. It's just me.

I jumped into my chair at my computer to look busy and that's when I saw the cat monster walk into the doorway which was still weird.

???-Found him.

(Kari's POV)

I know his is just shy right now and his mom told me just how hard he had it from the big move so I just have to be gentle with him and just have fun on his terms. When I saw him in his room, he looked really cute.

Kari-Hi there. You must be (Y/N). My name is Kari and this is my friend Gatomon... Why do you look so scared? *giggles* We're not gonna bite. ~

I put my hands on my knees to get closer to his level while looking around his room. He had a (Favorite game console), a computer, and some things to color and draw in his room. 

(Y/N)-H-Hi.

He still looked so scared so I walked up to him and saw something he might like to do and I noticed a second controller. I shouldn't force him to go out and play, so I need to get closer to him before I move to that.

Kari-Let's have lots of fun today. How about we play a game or watch a movie? I bet you have really good taste.

(Y/N)-... There are some old games I got for really cheap with allowance money and are really fun.

Kari-Cool. Are any of them 2 players?

(Gatomon's POV)

Kari sat down and played some games with (Y/N) while I sat on his bed behind them. I remember sneaking by last night when he was going to sleep. It looks like he is a bit of a scared cat when it comes to the dark and new people, but he is also very gentle. Kari would be mad if she found out I spied on him a little to find out anything about him and even more when I came by after he fell asleep... His snores almost sounded like purrs.

Gatomon's mind-I wonder if humans from America are part cat. Would explain why most of them in charge or rich seem really stuck up.

After a few rounds, (Y/N) wanted to put on a show, but then he heard a beep on his computer. He went up to it and looked into something before looking a little sad.

Kari-What's wrong?

(Y/N)-Nothing... Let's put the show on in the living room. We have popcorn, but it's the kind you need to put in the pot then butter and salt yourself.

Kari-It's the best kind. I even know a few secrets to make it better.

They both left the room talking and I followed them at first, but snuck back into the room and got on the computer to see what made him upset. All I saw was a screenshot of some other game on the computer from someone.

Gatomon's mind-Is this a friend of his?... I guess they didn't invite him to play.

(Timeskip 20 Minutes)

We were all in the living room watching a show and something was really adorable... (Y/N) was a cuddler and would lean onto Kari or me until he caught himself and jumped. Kari and I found this more entertaining than his show. I think he picked up this habit when he cuddles with his mom.

Gatomon's mind-So cute.

Kari-So adorable. ~

(Y/N)-*Eep*!... Y-You said that out loud.

Kari-Is there something wrong with being adorable? I think cuddling just makes you sweet.

He blushed so hard when Kari said that and I know boys always have to act so big and strong for their fragile egos. He didn't say anything, but he made cute little noises.

(Kari's POV)

Sora, Mimi, Rika, and Yolie would love him so much if they were here Biyomon, Palmon, and Renamon too. If I babysit again, I wanna ask Ms. (L/N) if I can take her son with me somewhere to hang out with my friends. She did want him to get out of the house this summer. During the show, he leaned into me again and this time I wrapped an arm around him gently to comfort him. He tensed up, but then I rubbed his side which made him relax.

Kari's mind-Oh my God! How could she keep this cute little guy all to herself?!

I would have come over before if I knew this Sweetheart was having such a hard time. We kept on relaxing and in this dark room from the closed curtains...

Gatomon-Kari. *whisper*

I looked down and saw (Y/N) fall asleep and since it was just 1 in the afternoon, it meant he was just so comfortable with me that he fell asleep. Gatomon was even playing with his hair which must've helped a lot in putting him to sleep. I don't want him sleeping on this couch though.

Kari-Go close the curtains in his room. *whisper*

Gatomon carefully left and when I slowly picked him up... It was easy.

Kari's mind-He's so light! He's not that much heavier than Gatomon! So cute!

I can picture tomorrow if I take him to see my friends. He would be in my arms, he would be cutely shy, and... Wait, what am I thinking?! I don't even have permission, yet!

Kari's mind-I don't want to embarrass him either... I should at least ask if he is ok with being carried after I get permission from his mom.

(Gatomon's POV)

I had the curtains closed and this house was as dark as it was going to get right now. When Kari came in, she was holding (Y/N) and he was carried like a bride at a wedding in her arms like he was a baby kitten to her.

When she got him in bed we both lied down with him, being careful not to wake him up. I cuddled with him in his sleep while Kari got his other side.

Gatomon's mind-He's really been here for a month? Keeping a baby like this to yourself has to be a crime... He needs to come with us tomorrow even if I need to use my hypnotic eye.

I saw Kari close her eyes while pulling him closer to her under the blanket so I scooted closer to press up against (Y/N). I closed my eyes for a nice cat nap.

(Timeskip)

((M/N)'s POV)

When I tried calling to check in, there was no answer and when I called Kari's mom she said Kari's phone one her radar showed her in my apartment. It wasn't until I got home that I found out the reason why there was no answer... The three were sleeping in my son's bed in his room. They all looked so precious and it reminds me of when (Y/N) would come to my room to cuddle with me at night. I haven't seen (Y/N) this attached to someone else other than me, ever.

(M/N)'s mind-I wonder if she will be ok babysitting tomorrow too.
