Heart Strings..
It happened so fast.
I didn't even had a time to think.
Nor could I remember why..
First of all, I didn't wanted this to happen.
I didn't want my world to slowly crumble in his hands.
I didn't want him..
But why do I get that feeling,
..That my heart wants to tell a different story?
~
I was silently walking my way to Sunagakure to deliver a scroll shishou asked me to. As I was leaping from tree branch to tree branch in the dark gloomy forest, my eyes caught something rather unusual to my surroundings.
I stopped and jump down. Reaching the ground, I merely bent down to examine a somewhat piece of, "Chakra string?" I mumbled and watch how it slightly shinned when sunlight stroke its form. I was so thin, thread-like even. Hardly visible to the unaided eye. But of course, as the ninja I am, I recognized such thing. Especially since I have encountered these before during my fight with --Then, it snapped.
"Damn it.."
I swiftly turned around, holding a kunai in one hand. I quickly scanned the perimeter and tried to consentrate on even the tiniest spark of chakra signature. But none.
I sighed. I know I'm over reacting a bit, but who wouldn't? Those strings are all too familiar to me. Because of such strings, I nearly died by the hands of a puppet master! And despite the fact that, it happened more than a year ago, back when Sasuke still betrayed the village, I still couldn't help but be cautious.
Even if I knew he is dead.
The bushes behind me suddenly moved. I threw a kunai at it, but only to find no living creature was there.
"And so, we meet again.."
What?
"Who said that?!" I yelled while glaring at the nearby trees. It was a man's voice. I can tell because it was deep and threatening.
Who could it be?
That voice somehow became familiar to my subconscious.
Where did I-
Oh shit.
But before I could shout at the certain someone again, bearly visible chakra strings wrapped my entire body. Damn it..
I let my guard down.
I fell to the ground with a thud. At that moment, my breathing became heavy. My whole body was paralyzed. I was like a little mouse cornered by a cat. Just then, violet smoke came out of no where.
Sleeping gas!
It was too late. I already breathe in some of it and knowing these kinds of things, I will soon be knocked out within two minutes.
But before that, a dark figure stepped into view. I couldn't see the face for my eyesight became instantly blurry. I heard a soft chuckle from the figure.
And I know exactly who it is...
"It's very nice to see you again, little girl."
That voice.
That chuckle.
That puppet-like rattling noise.
Those strings.
"Akasuna no Sasori."
And with that, I lost unconsciousness.
......
I woke up the next morning in thick white covers. I was on a bed. I was in a room. The slight beam of sunlight soon hit my eyes, making my groan.
"I see you are awake, Sakura."
Only then did I realized that someone other than me was in the room. I adjusted my vision and saw him.
He smirked.
Sasori.
"Why did you brought me here? I thought you were dead. What do you need from me?!" I demanded.
He walked towards me. He was still wearing his Akatsuki cloak even if the organization itself was long gone. He sat on the side of the bed. Never breaking eye contact with me.
I glared.
He looked quite amused to that.
"I brought you here because I wanted to Miss Haruno. And I assure you, I am not dead as to thought I would be, if so, why would I be sitting here with you?"
I scowled.
"Edo tensei?"
He frowned.
"Of course not. A disciple of mine performed the 'ressurection jutsu' I taught him. And now here I am."
Ressurection jutsu?
"So you're..."
He crawled closer to me. I back away but bumped into the wall near the bed where it ends. I gulped.
He was scaring me.
And with that evil smirk, he inched closer until he was only a foot away from me. He gazed at my eyes. I looked down but his warm hand lifted my chin up. I felt like I was hypnotized by his gorgeous light mocha brown orbs.
He was handsome.
There, I admit it.
"Yes, I am."
He leaned closer to my ear and whispered, "I'm human now, love." I shivered. The way he whispered. The way he huskily said that to me.
I soon felt tha heat crawl up my cheeks.
Why can't I move?
There is nothing restraining me, so..
Why?
That was the last thought I had in mind before I felt his warm and moist lips on mine.
They were so soft.
So warm.
So addicting..
I gave in and kissed back as he started moving. I let his tongue entered my mouth and explored it.
He was so good.
Even if it's a sin..
He soon pulled away. I frowned. He smiled and caressed my cheeks.
"And to answer your last question, I need you, Sakura. Ever since I met you a year back, I admired you."
He said. "Why?" I shyly asked.
He leaned again and drowned me with his gaze.
"Because every single part of you, is an art."
His smell was so fresh. Did he just came out of the shower? Anyway, he was so charming.
So intoxicating.
So sinfully beautiful.
And God, if claiming his lips again was a complete sin then,
...forgive me.
I pulled him in and kissed him.
......
A week after
"Sakura?"
"Hm?"
I glanced at the man who was staring out the window. I can't believe I once despise this handsome being. I smiled and walked towards him
"What is it Sasori-kun?"
He didn't move.
"I think it's time for you to return to the Leaf."
I widen my eyes in disbelief. "Are you crazy? No, it will never be the-"
"Look Sakura, you don't belong here."
"But I do!"
"Why?" He demanded as he turned towards me. His face told nothing but pure seriousness.
"Why is it that you want to stay here with me? I am not controling you or anything."
I thought for a moment.
"That's because you already did. Without you even noticing it.."
He cocked a perfect eyebrow at me.
"What do you mean?"
I glared at him. Knowing that this must be the only reason why I didn't tried to escape the Puppet Master.
"Because I love you."
THE END
SasoriXSakura.
