Nick:

Today's the day. I'm proposing to Char in almost 10 hours. I gently shook him to wake him up

"Char. Baby you need to wake up to get ready for work"

"Urghhh" he groaned

"Fine I'll go make breakfast so you have like 10 more minutes to sleep."

I kissed him and left the room. Five minutes later he walked, well more shuffled out of our room pushing his hair back.

"Hey"

He groaned

"Come on it's not that bad at least it's Friday! Almost the weekend."

He groaned again

"Let's go on a date tonight?"

He slowly opened his eyes properly and stared at me

"Fine" he said "I'm awake."

"Ok can you pick me up from school after you finish work then?"

"Sure"

9 hours later after they have both finished work:

Nick: (text conversation)

Char ❤️: I'm outside are you almost done with work?

Me: I'll be a few minutes. You can come in if you want I'm in our old form room

Char ❤️: k love u xx

Me: see you in a minute love u 😘

After a couple of minutes I hear his footsteps walking down the corridor. I glance round the room checking everything is perfect.

Charlie:

Oh. my. fucking. god.

Nick is the most amazing man ever.

The lights are off and the room is lit up by candles. He had pushed all the desks to the side and arranged rose petals in the shape of a heart. He was standing in the middle of it holding a gorgeous bouquet of pale pink peonies.

My eyes were welling up. He's so sweet.

WAIT. IS THIS WHAT I THINK IT IS?!

"Charlie, from the moment we met, my world has been forever changed. I remember the first time I saw you, your smile lit up the room and my heart skipped a beat. It's the small moments, the everyday joys, and the quiet, peaceful nights like this one when I am reminded of just how much I love you. The way you laugh, the way your eyes light up when you smile, the way you hold my hand when we walk together" he smiles tearfully. I had already started bawling, "Charlie, you are the love of my life, my partner in crime, and my greatest treasure.

I promise to cherish and adore you every day, to stand by your side through all of life's twists and turns, and to love you more deeply with each passing moment." He kneeled and pulled out a ring. 

OMIGOD THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!

"So, Charlie, my love, will you make me the luckiest person on this planet and marry me?"

"OH MY GOD YES YES YES I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" I flung myself onto him. 

We both laughed. He took my hand and slipped on the ring. I stared at it. It was perfect. This moment is perfect. He's perfect. 

It was silver with a small blue sapphire. 

Then I remembered something.
