Transformation

Phoenix's P.O.V.

I just kept running until I saw a light. A blinding white light. I needed to find Elsa so I just kept running. As soon as I reached the light, my legs were suddenly planted on the ground. Chains rose from the ground and enveloped me, pulling me up. When the pulling and tugging had stopped, I saw Elsa. Locked in a cage similar to mine. On the floor of the prison. Freezing to death.

I heard Phoenix's voice and called back at her. I could sense where the voice was coming from and ran straight for it, but was blocked by a wall. A pitch black wall. After that, I didn't hear anymore shouts. I kept calm and walked alongside the wall just so I wouldn't lose it or miss an opening. I tried using my ice against it but nothing happened. So I just kept walking. Not too far ahead of me, I spotted a white light. I flew to the light but as soon as I got there, my feet got stuck to the floor as if by glue. I frantically looked around everywhere and saw Phoenix and Elsa locked up in cages above me. Phoenix had a worried look on her face and was looking at Elsa, and Elsa . . . Elsa. She was huddled in a little ball in the corner of the cage, shivering tremendously. Her lips were purple and her teeth chattered like crooked dice. Suddenly, Pitch appeared. With my daughter.

"Let go of my neice!" I yelled at the man in the dress. I called him that ever since I was little.

"But I'm having fun, aunty Phoenix," Estefania replied. My eyes widened at her response and her appearance. Her dress was a dark gray, her lips were black and her eyes were bloodshot. The only beautiful aspect that remained the same was her platinum-blonde hair. Just like Elsa's.

I slowly inched back trying to avoid them both but tripped on the way back, hitting my head. I immediately shot my head up to not let Pitch see that I was hurt. A wave of pain arrived and I rubbed my head to heal the pain or to at least ease it. I glanced at Elsa and saw her helplessly freezing to death and couldn't help but feel bad for her. "Are you scared?" Pitch asked in his calmest voice ever. He only used that voice with me once or twice. Then again, I've only seen him a couple of times in my entire life.

"Me? Scared of you? Please," I countered defensively. But deep inside I wanted to cower in fear. Pitch was becoming the strongest being and everyone was cowering. But Pitch, being the boogeyman, truly knew that I was frightened deep inside.

"Oh, Phoenix. Has it really been this long since we first met?" He put me in an uncomfortable position by saying those words and there was nothing I could do but remember what happened when I was only

Me: LET GO OF MY AUNT NOW!!!!!
Pitch: Ha! Little child, do you think you can stop me? All I want is your aunt's power! The power of the phoenix is extremely powerful and flying with wings would be much better than floating on this stupid dust cloud

I was scared back then. Terrified. He had taken my aunt from me, my sister, my own soul, and now my neice. If this continued, Elsa would be dead by the time we get out, if we ever get out. "Don't you remember Phoenix? We had good times back then." I blocked out his remark and tried to convince Estefania that she was in a trap.

"Estefania! Please listen to me!" I pleaded. "We all need you. Your happiness, your warmth, your love. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you all of these years." I looked into her eyes and saw pure hatred. She was standing next to Pitch like a statue. Not moving. Not feeling anything. And with no memories at all.
Elsa's P.O.V.

I heard Phoenix trying to convince Estefania to come out of the shadows. There was nothing I could do to help her. I was huddled in a ball, freezing to death, because Estefania had locked me up in some sort of icy cage. So I just listened to Phoenix. When suddenly I heard her say words that nearly made me cry. "Remember your mother, Elsa. Who nurtured you and gave you a home. Just like she did with me." The last words came out as a whisper. But they touched my heart. My sister made her remember love, remember me. "Please remember your mother. She loves you very much. You have no idea how much she's missed you and the things she had gone through to save you. Because I get the feeling she did the same for me," she said while putting a bit of humor into it. I lifted my head up just a bit and saw Estefania smiling. It had been so long since I last saw her smile and it brought tears to my eyes and a smile. I heaved myself up and walked towards Estefania and saw her a little better. She had a bright smile plastered on her face. Her red eyes started fading away into the ocean blue color she originally had. I dropped my gaze from her and started looking at Pitch. He was looking at her with wide, slightly scared eyes. I was trying to decipher what he was worried about when the expression of his face changed to pure mad. My eyes widened and I started shivering more and more with fear. Fear of what he was going to do to my daughter. As he tightened his grip by making a fist, my eyes wandering back to Estefania. Her beautiful smile suddenly turned into a pained expression. Black sand covered her neck and she held it tight. She was being choked.

The chains around me and Phoenix dissolved and we fell to the ground. I regained my balance quick enough and demanded Pitch to let her go. "Let go of my daughter! Now!"

"Come get her," he replied slyly. Then, from right behind me, I heard running. And a furious voice along with it.

"She said to let go of her daughter!" Jack demanded. I stepped out of the way and let him pass. He blasted ice to Pitch but ended up missing. Pitch disappeared into the darkness and released Estefania. I ran to her Ann's got her to her feet. Either the shivering stopped or I just didn't notice it. Right now, I'm focused on her.

"Are you okay?" I asked Estefania gently.

"Yeah. I'm okay."

"Aww. Isn't this cute. A little family reunion," a mocking voice said.

"Stay away from her, Pitch!" Phoenix defended us while standing in front of us. Then came a question that surprised me and nearly made me want to sacrifice myself.

"Who? The daughter? Or the girl?"

OMG. I'm getting the feels about the next chapter. It's going to be a surprise. I'm feeling really bad right now because of it. Whatever. Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed this cliffhanger (sort of) chapter and please take the time to read my two sisters' books, Phoenix's and Anna's. I'm probably not going to be updating soon because of what is going to happen in the next chapter. I can't bring myself to do it. But for the sake of all of you readers and followers out there, I'll try. But I can't guarantee anything.
