Offer

A/N: surprise surprise, I'm not dead. College and work has been draining all my energy and motivation, I'm not sure what inspired me to write this. Not sure if I'll be active more, but here's this  for now and we'll see if more comes to follow. Enjoy!

"...when he wakes up, we'll see if he's smart enough to accept our offer."

Felix kept his head down and eyes closed as he regained consciousness, having been knocked out by Dark to be restrained. He didn't dare move for fear of giving away that he was awake, keeping his breathing as steady as he could as he felt his heart race.

"We have Henrik's quirk and we have this brat, we have the upper hand. There's no way the heroes will beat us."

"Anti, do not underestimate them. While I am not overly fond of my brother Mark, he has a powerful quirk. And your oldest brother Jackie-"

"Don't talk about him!" There was solid thud of something embedding into wood followed by a soft sigh, Felix trying to not shake as he heard footsteps approach him and stop close by.

"Anti, he's awake."

Felix froze, instinctively holding his breath as he hoped for them to leave him alone. He winced as Anti punched him in the jaw, his head snapping back from the force as he blearily opened his eyes and blinked to find that he couldn't see anything. "Where am I? Why can't I see?"

"It's because the lights are off idiot." Anti hissed, Dark shooting him a look. "Anti, be polite to our newest recruit. And turn on some light, he's not accustomed to the dark like we are."

Anti rolled his eyes and turned on the lights, Felix wincing at the brightness before blinking rapidly to help him adjust. He looked around to find himself shackled to a wall in what looked like a cave with a door, frowning in confusion. "What the hell...are we in an underground cave?"

"Not quite, I'll explain later. Now, what are you fighting for?" Dark prompted, pulling up a chair and sitting in front of Felix. "What motivates you to go out and do what you do?"

"Doesn't matter, now let me go!" Felix struggled and tried activating his quirk, tensing when he felt a gun press to the side of his head. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Wilford spoke up, his finger hovering over the trigger.

Felix growled quietly and reluctantly stopped moving, glaring at Dark. "Why the hell would I want to join your band of losers?"

"We are trying to change society for the better. Our quirks shouldn't be limited, or judged based on how they appear. For example, I'm sure you're aware that my quirk allows me to control darkness around me. Because of that, people believe I have a darkness in me and label me a villain, refusing to listen to me and my ideas. Since they will not choose to listen, I'm removing their right to choose so I may do what's right for all who have been wronged by so called heroes." Dark stood and clasped his hands behind his back. "We can help each other, we both just want to help society and be powerful. If you join us, people will listen and you won't have to be limited by anyone."

"We aren't the same, you're a heartless and selfish bastard trying to change society just for your benefit. I don't care about your sob story." Felix muttered. "I'm a hero, nothing is changing that! I don't care if people judge me or whatever, that won't stop me from keeping them safe!"

Dark tsked softly. "You're so simple minded, of course you don't understand what we are trying to accomplish." He made a gesture to Anti and turned to walk out the door, Anti following.

"So that's it? You're just giving up and leaving me here to rot?" Felix struggled a little, Wilford jabbing Felix with the gun to make him stop.

"Not at all. I'm giving you time to think and will return with something a bit more...persuasive." Dark walked out with Anti, the lights going out as they left

Felix sighed softly and closed his eyes, trying to think of a plan. He moved around a little to see if Wilford was still there, relaxing some when he didn't feel Wilford's gun. "Okay...if I get out of here, then what? I don't know where I am, and I haven't learned anything useful. If I stay here, maybe pretend I'm joining, then I can learn why they attacked the school and figure out what their big game plan is. I'll stay put for now and see what I can learn."

Felix used his quirk to make his fists glow blue so he wasn't sitting in the dark, biting his lip. "Maybe if I'm lucky, the pros know where I am and are working to save me right now...but I can't depend on them. I at least know the villains don't intend to kill me, I'll use that to my advantage and survive."
