Exam
"Are you sure that's who that person was Mark?"
"I'm fucking positive that it was them Ethan, it can't have been anyone else, especially with that kind of quirk where they can just show up out of nowhere!"
Mark, Marvin, Tyler, and Ethan walked in a pack to get out of the airport and be taken to the International Hero Academy, a person with pale lavender hair and pale blue eyes chasing after them with a teddy bear kid leash on his back.
"Robbie!" Marvin exclaimed as he caught the male in his arms, hugging him tightly as a male with brown hair and sky blue eyes jogged up out of breath.
"Thanks Marv, I accidentally dropped the leash." He panted as he picked the leash up, Robbie finally letting go of Marvin.
"Who are these two?" Tyler spoke up, gesturing at the newcomers while Marvin beamed happily.
"They're my brothers! The purple haired one is my youngest brother Robbie, his quirk is undead." Marvin explained, drool dribbling down Robbie's chin as he looked around him with eyes wide in wonder at the people.
"Wait, so he can't die? That's awesome!" Ethan exclaimed as Robbie flopped down onto the ground, getting on his hands and knees so he could crawl away.
"Well kind of. He's basically a zombie, so if you cut off his head he'll still die, but he also grows old and shit." The other male grunted as as he almost fell to the ground with Robbie, Marvin catching his arm and helping him pull Robbie up to his feet.
"My name's Seán, but you can call me Jack, and I'm the fourth oldest. My quirk is that I can yell loud enough to break glass and stuff." The male holding the leash introduced himself with a grin.
"I'm Tyler, my quirk is that I can turn into stone." Tyler replied, turning his arm to stone as an example.
"I'm Ethan, my quirk is flexibility." Ethan chimed in, bending his back far enough so he could look at Seán, Robbie, and Marvin through his legs.
"My name's Mark, I can manipulate time." Mark interjected with pride evident in his voice.
"Wait, is that how you got in front of that bus so fast? I thought your quirk was super speed!" Marvin exclaimed in surprise, Seán shooting an incredulous look at Mark.
"You got in front of a bus?" He repeated with a frown, Mark opening his mouth to explain before Marvin answered for him.
"There was...someone that appeared in front of the bus, he went out there to save them. I-"
"Woah!"
Seán staggered forward as Robbie took off at a sprint after something, the Irishman nearly falling face first onto the floor as he gripped the leash tightly.
"I'll see you at school Marv!" Seán shouted as he was dragged away into the crowd, disappearing out of sight as the four left the airport.
"New York City." Mark breathed in awe, craning his head up to look at the skyscrapers towering over them.
"What are we waiting for, let's go!" Ethan urged his friends, waving down a taxi to get to the academy.
"This is where it's at?"
The four arrived at the Empire State Building where hundreds of other students were filing inside, the group exchanging looks between each other before joining the crowd.
"I actually did research about it, apparently the founders of the school bought the Empire State building when quirks started appearing so that there would be plenty of space for everyone!" Mark blurted, Tyler rolling his eyes at the nerdy teen.
"Marvin!" A voice called out in the crowd, a male with a snapback cap pushing past people before hugging the brothers.
"How many brothers do you have?" Tyler spoke up, the visible parts of Marvin's face behind the cat mask flushing a light red hue in embarrassment.
"Eight if you count me." Marvin answered quietly, Chase smirking as he patted his brother's shoulder before disappearing into the crowd.
"You have any siblings?" Marvin asked Mark, the raven haired male quickly shaking his head no.
"Let's get ready for the entrance exam!" Ethan interjected eagerly to change the subject, urging the others to follow him inside.
A hero was standing on a small stage dressed in a red jumpsuit with a blue mask around his eyes and a mic in hand, his cobalt blue eyes scanning the crowd until they landed on Marvin.
"Little bro!" The male cheered as Marvin meekly approached the base of the stage, bending down before hugging him.
"The name's-"
"You're Jackaboy, one of the most admired heroes since your powers are like ones from the comics!" Mark interrupted with wide eyes, the hero chuckling as he ruffled Mark's hair.
"I like you kid, you know your stuff. Now I'm not supposed to be biased since I'm the announcer for the exam, but I'll be rooting for you." Jackaboy replied with a wink, standing up before speaking into the mic with a grin.
"Alright everyone, let's get through the boring rules real fast before the fun can begin!" Jackaboy shouted, eliciting cheers from the potential students.
"The rules are simple-the exam is two versus two, you'll be paired with someone random in the room and face off against another team. Whoever wins the fight moves on until one team is left as the overall winners!" Jackaboy exclaimed, the students murmuring amongst each other nervously.
"Dan Howell and Link Neal, you both will be going up against Rhett McLaughlin and Phil Lester!" Jackaboy declared.
"Um...where's the fight supposed to be?" A teen with fringed black hair squeaked nervously, clutching onto the brown haired teen beside him with similar hair.
"Good question Phil! We're going down underground to minimize property damage." Jackaboy stated, ushering the teens to the elevator.
"There are TVs up here so you all can watch!" Jackaboy called out over his shoulder before the doors of the elevator shut, taking the four teens and himself down.
Mark looked around to see TVs posted in each corner of the room, students gathering around them to watch the fight.
The underground battle arena had red padded floor with black walls, Jackaboy standing off to the side while the two teams faced each other.
"Is it possible to surrender during the fight?" A teen with short black hair and glasses spoke up as he shifted foot to foot, exchanging a look with his calm black haired partner.
"Here at IHA, we've adopted the motto PMA, which stands for positive mental attitude. We believe that students should never give up, no matter how hard a fight may be!" Jackaboy answered, Phil swallowing nervously.
"Now," Jackaboy paused as he looked between the two pairs, the students watching with bated breath for the fight to begin.
"Let's get this party started!"
