3 years later
*Athena*
I am on my way to a job interview as a live in nanny for a 3 year old girl. I have been in LA for 2 years know, but I am originally from a small town in Louisiana. I moved her with my boyfriend Brad because he wanted to be an actor. Our relationship didn't hold, but I stayed here. I have been working as an waitress but what I really want to do is work with kids. Preferably as a kindergarten teacher or something like that.

This sounded like a great job. Watching a 3 year old girl while her father is at work. There would be a room and food included in the salary. It can only be better than being a waitress anyway.

I drive up to the address and park outside. It is a beautiful wooden house painted grey and white with a stone chimney. It is big but nowhere near a Hollywood mansion.

I go to ring the doorbell and the door is opened by a beautiful woman with dark hair. She smiles and extends her hand to me. I take it and shake it. "Hi I am Shekinah. You must be Athena".

"Hi Shekinah. Just call me Tena, everyone does". I say smiling. She had been the one I had talked to on the phone. But her brother is the one needing a nanny.

"Tena then. Come on in and lets have a talk". She steps aside and I walk past her into the house. It is beautiful on the inside too. There is clean, but everywhere there's telltale signs that a little girl is living here.

There is a lot of pictures. Almost all of them is of the most beautiful little girl with soft dark curls and hazel eyes. "That is Mirabella". Shekinah says when she sees me looking at them

I feel myself smile and answer. "She is just adorable".

We go sit down in the living-room. Shekinah asks me if I want coffee and I say yes. After she has filled my cup she looks at me. "As you have probably figured out, this isn't an ordinary nanny job. My brother is an actor so he will be away for longer periods and work at strange hours. He has been at home the last three years taking care of Bella himself. But he wants to get back to work.. he needs to get back".

"That is fine, I am very flexible, especially when living here. So is it okay to ask were Mirabella's mother is ?" I thought it better to ask her.. in case it's a painful memory.

She sighs and look sad. "She died when Bella was three weeks old. A terrible accident. My brother was absolutely crushed by the loss. In some ways he still is. She was his soulmate and best friend. Hadn't he had Bella.. I don't think he had  made it through it without her. But he is a wonderful father to her. He just need to get out there and work again you know.. to have something more in his life".

"Oh I am so sorry to hear that. It must have been so horrible. I can't imagine how hard is much be to raise you kid alone. Especially for a man". I feel so sorry for him. Having found your soulmate only to lose her and stand alone with a newborn.. wow that harsh.

She nods. "It has been.. dark times... But he has really exceeded expectations. Just don't ever mention his wife, it is still a raw wound to him".

We talk about me, what I have done so far and what I want in the future. I tell her that I lost my mother when I was young. My father remarried and I have two younger brothers and a younger sister that I used to watch a lot.

*Shekinah*
I really like Athena. She seems so sweet, warm and caring. I am sure she is the right woman to take care of Mirabella and maybe a bit my brother too. He haven't taken to much care of himself those past years. His sole focus has been on his daughter.

The whole family is relieved that he has decided to start working again. He has spend way to much time alone. It is time he gets out there and even though no one dare mention it, I think we all hope he will find love again.. someone who can make him happy again.

"So how fast can you start ? My brother has already started working and I am kind of doubling as his babysitter now. He is doing a new tv series so he is working here in town and comes home every night.. so right now it's mostly days". I tell her.

She smiles and nod. "Well I kind of quit my old job yesterday, so I guess I can start whenever it fits you best".

"You know what, my brother is home tomorrow. It might be best for Bella if he is home the first day... she is a real daddy's girl..So if you could come tomorrow morning.. we could start slow". I tell her.

There is the sound of soft footsteps and something small comes lumpering into the living-room. I am as always stricken by how much Bella looks like her father. She has her rabbit in one hand and her blanket in the other, dragging it after her. Her curls is a ruffled mess and she climbs up into my lap. "Morn aunt Shena".

"Good morning Bella. This is you new nanny Tena. She is going to look after you when daddy is at work.. would that be okay ?" I ask her.

Mirabella looks at Athena who smiles at the little girl. "Hi Bella, it is so nice to meet you". Bella jumps down from my lap and hands me her blanket and teddy before walking over to Athena holding out her little hand.

Athena takes it, shaking it softly. Mirabella smile that big smile she has also inherited from her father. "I like Tena. You look nice".

"Thank you Bella. You are a very pretty little girl... And I like you too. I think we are going to be great friends". She says softly.. And I am sure I made a good choice.
