A young girl of thirteen was quietly walking along a pathway. The scenery being colorful and quite beautiful; certainly more beautiful than a snow-filled wasteland. Even so, she was not thinking or even looking at the vast forest on either side of her. Instead, she was looking back towards a large mountain range. The girl quickly looking away as some of her silvery white hair fell in front of her face. The female looking a bit annoyed but mainly held a regretful and scornful look on her face. Reaching up and adjusting the long ribbon that was tied into a bow to keep most of her hair out of the way. Her bangs were being the main issue towards her as she fixed them next. Her letting out a small sigh before actually looking around at her surroundings. 'So this is what nature can truly be..' She thought as her head tilted a bit. Feeling at peace for once as she shut her eyes.

The peace didn't last long though as she quickly opened her eyes. Coming out of a small trance she had been allured into by the quietness all around all because of some birds briskly flying into the sky. Letting out caws of fear as the girl blinked. "Huh.." She mumbled before a shiver went down her spine. A loud roar being hear as dust was kicked up from something big. The curious girl not wasting another second as she started to run over towards the commotion.

A smaller girl was holding a large branch and aiming it for a large beast. The creature narrowing its four eyes at her as it roared out. It's large tail lashing and causing several trees to fall. The girl was currently doing her best to seem unafraid of this atrocious creature. The beast roared out as it went to slash at the young redhead. It's large claws about to hit her though, it never met it's target.

The redhead had her eyes shut tightly, body tensed up and ready to get slashed away and more than likely killed. Once a few moments past and nothing happened, the young girl opened her one good eye as that eye had widened. Before her was a girl in a tattered kimono. Her dress wear still looking elegant as ever with her figure. Her long, silvery white hair falling behind her as if she had just ran in. The taller female holding a katana and was blocking the claws from hitting her. The girl letting out a breath of relief before glaring at the beast with her cold, pink eyes.

The beast having a purely irritated expression on its face as he roared out again. Snapping its jaws at the girl as she swiftly moved back to avoid getting hit by them. Her arm outstretched to make sure the other girl didn't get hit either. "You okay..?" She asked and glanced back at her. The young girl looking quite amazed as she quickly nodded after. She did look young for someone her age that's for sure. The pink eyed girl let out a small nod before suddenly getting smacked out of the way by its large paw. The monster growling and baring it's fangs at her as a form of intimidation.

"Hitting a lady, some manners.." The girl joked before putting her hand out. Her being on the ground while partially sitting up by using her arm for support. Gripping the katana with that hand as a magic circle appeared in front of it. "Ice make: blizzard!" She yelled out as a large gust of wind blew in when there wasn't even meant to be a breeze. The circle shooting out jagged ice at it as the creature screeched out. Not expecting the attack at all as it tried to shield itself by using its body.

Without it looking at either of them, the redhead had grabbed a dingy sword that was by a burlap sack as she slashed at the creatures foot. Letting out a battle cry as blood had started pouring from its foot. The beast hissed out of pain before lashing its tail towards her. The girl ending up against a tree as she let out a grunt of pain. Sliding down the tree as she gritted her teeth a bit. That distraction being enough to allow the silver haired girl to stand up. Holding her blade within both hands as she kept her eyes on her target.

Glancing back at the young girl as she stepped back to make sure she was okay. "I would suggest you stay back this time... there's no way you can do something that reckless without breaking something.." She said and looked at her. From how frail she was, this girl must have gone through a lot. Especially because she was wearing an eyepatch over her right eye. Showing just how injured she was at this time. "Besides, it's not good to fight in your condition.." She said before looking back at the creature as it was working on shaking off the jagged ice out from where they had been shot in. After managing to get them out with minor injury, the beast looked furious at the girls. The taller one staying in front of the other protectively as she stayed in place. Her eyes piercing into the monsters soul as it tried the intimidation tactic again. Seeming bigger than its opponent was easy; but being stronger than one puny mortal was another thing. Its eyes flickering away from her for only a moment before it looked back. The girl being gone before it felt something scaling up its back.

Turning its large, reptilian-like head; it saw her. Already being on its back before it felt something agonizing. Her katana was encased in ice with a small tornado locked around it. The blade driving into it as she kept forcing herself forward. Eyes brimming with the determination to either drive this creature away or slay it. The monster roared out but not out of annoyance; it was out of pain. While it was roaring, the creature started lashing around. Tearing down more of the forest around them as it was trying to shake the girl off with no avail. She was coming in faster, going upwards towards the beasts neck. Slicing through its scales and the skin underneath.

Her kimono now being bloodstained just like her blade. That not being her main priority at the moment as she kept on running. The beast soon started lashing around with much more vigor. The girl trying to hold her grip but it was useless. Her being thrown off along with the katana. Her hitting the ground with a kindly loud thud as the beast ran off. Not wanting to take more abuse from two humans any longer.

"Are you okay!?" The redhead asked and ran over with wide eyed.

"Yea.. I should be fine." The girl said and avoided eye contact for the moment. Going to stand out only to let out a yell of pain. Falling right back down as she went to clutch her leg.

"That doesn't look fine.." The young girl said as she got closer. Kneeling down and examining her right leg.

"Ahh! Your bones sticking out!" In a panic, the redhead scooted back a bit quickly. Not wanting to look at that sight again before shaking her head. Going over towards her head as she grabbed the girl by her clothing. Helping her stand as the girl gritted her teeth in pain. The brown eyed girl putting one arm over her shoulders as she grunted a bit. "You won't have to worry.. there's a place both of us can go to..."

"What'd you mean? Who says I'm going anywhere with you?" The girl said and gave the other a look.

"Your legs clearly broken and you need medical attention. So I'm going to finish finding Fairy Tail with you.."

"Fairy tail...?" The other questioned and rose a brow.

"Yea, Fairy Tail. Its a guild.."

"You're in a guild..?" She asked and blinked.

"I want to be.. I was trying to get there by nightfall before I got accidentally woke that monster up." She said and let out a light sigh. Looking at the sky as the sun was slowly setting over the horizon. New colors showing their face before it gets engulfed with the cool darkness of night.

"Mm.. I see..." the girl said as she furrowed her brows a bit. "If I'm going to be stuck with you; we shouldn't be traveling at night. It's far too risky.."

"Says the one that climbed on that things back." The redhead rebuked with a poker face. Her then sighing as she nodded. Both of them knowing there's worse out there that could come out at night. "Though you do have a point.." She said as she stopped walking.

Helping her get settled against a tree as she looked around. "I'll be back in a second.." She said and put a finger up. Briskly walking off only to come back minutes later. Having multiple branches and twigs in her arms along with some rocks. Putting the rocks in a circle and adding in the branches and some dead leaves she found laying around. Then going and beating the rocks together until a spark lit up the materials in a blaze of fire.

By the time all of that was done; the sun had fully set. Allowing the moon to come out and shine its dimmed light all around.

"Hey; what're you doing?"

"Cleaning my katana.." The girl said as she had ripped more of her kimono for that purpose. Currently cleaning it more than thoroughly to get any blood and dirt off of it. Her voice sounding dull as she was focusing very hard on this task.

"Ohh I see.." She said before going and sitting down by her. After a long moment of silence; she spoke up once again.

"Are you a princess?" The girl asked randomly and looked over at the silver haired female. "Cause you certainly look like one.."

"No.. not at all actually..." She said after a second. Clearing her throat as she sat up a bit straighter.

"Oh... well you still look pretty!" She said and kept on smiling.

"Well uhm.. thanks.."

"Say.. I don't think I ever got your name.. mines Erza Scarlet." She said and looked at her. The light of the fire being enough to let her see her hand outstretching for a handshake. The girl glancing up from what she was doing as she lifted her hand to complete the handshake with her.

"I'm Shiruu..... Shiruu Kurogane..."
