Chapter 7
Hello!!
I'm so sorry for the late update, I've just been enjoying the freedom of not having to study by binge-watching Daredevil:P Sorry again, but at least it's here so here ya go:)
Also, I've attached a photo of Chloe, who is actually Alexandra Daddario. And I used THAT particular photo because THE EYES<3

Chloe
Chloe slid her hands down the dress she was wearing. It was a pure black, made of a soft material she couldn't care to identify. She looked at herself in the mirror, the dress fitting her curvy body perfectly. It was quite dim in her room, but it was enough to see.
Apparently, there was some huge fashion show, and she had been asked to tag along as a companion/bodyguard for Arty Raines. And so, she was here. Trying on some sexy new dress and wearing makeup to watch other people strut and show off their dresses.
Her mind drifted back to the information of the guy she had seen earlier this week. She had stopped wondering about why she felt there was something different about him, and was just waiting for information as to where she could find him. So that she could kill him.
There was a slight knock on the door. Chloe called out, "Come in." The door opened slightly and she saw a man peek his head into the room. As soon as he saw her, his jaw dropped. Chloe smirked slightly, and turned around. The man's bearded jaw was practically touching the ground.
"Don't drool on my bedroom floor," Chloe said. He snapped his jaw shut.
"I - uh... I..."
"Are you gonna talk today?"
The man straightened, and pulled out a gun. "I was supposed to give this to you." Chloe raised an eyebrow at him. "For, uh..." His eyes traced the ground, like there was something written there. "Protection," he finished. He grinned at her.
Chloe laughed, and turned back around. "I don't do guns," she said, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "You don't do guns, but do you do guys?" he asked. She saw him wink in the mirror.
She turned around again and looked at him. He looked more confident of himself, still grinning. "Collected yourself so fast, eh? Not bad," she said. She stuck her hand out. "What's your name?"
He was just about to take her hand to shake, when Bane walked into the room. He stopped when he saw the man in the room. He looked between the two, Chloe's hand still holding her hand out. "Not again, Chloe! He's new!" The man looked confused, stroking his beard. Chloe took her hand back and shrugged. "He hit on me. Couldn't help it."
Bane sighed and rolled his eyes. "Why are you holding a gun?" he asked the man. Chloe turned around and looked at the mirror once again. "I was told to give this to her," he said, using the gun to point at Chloe. "She doesn't use guns. Now, leave," Bane said sharply. The man quickly left.
"Do you have a knife?" Bane asked her.
"Yes, I do. Just my regular knife."
"Okay, then, we're leaving in five." Bane exited the room.
Chloe picked up the knife sitting on her dresser and hid it in her boots carefully. She brushed her dress down once more, before turning around to leave.

"You know, Chloe, you aren't just here to protect me tonight," Arty said. Chloe looked at him. "You're also here to have a little fun." The car slowed in front of the venue. There were crowds of people standing outside, trying to get in.
"I didn't know you thought fashion shows were fun," Chloe replied subtly. She looked at the horde of people, they were creating an absolute ruckus. They were screaming at the top of their lungs, probably because some celebrity had entered the venue.
"I thought that you thought that they were fun," Arty said. Chloe shrugged. "No opinion," she replied. The car grinded to a halt right outside the entry to the venue, and the crowd quietened slightly, to see who was going to get out of the black limo.
Somebody opened the door for both of them, and they got out. The crowd started screaming again. The noise was deafening. Chloe frowned slightly, and started walking towards the entry, Arty close behind her.
People were shouting on either side of them. Chloe quickly entered the venue. Arty stopped at her side, and some person came out of nowhere to lead them to their seats.
They had VIP seats. Of course they did, she was accompanying the richest man in the city. They were probably the best seats in the whole house.

After about half an hour, the show started, and girls started walking onto the stage in different outfits, both weird and beautiful. There were a slight buzz around her, people commenting on each dress, and each girl. Arty remained quiet next to her, silently looking at the girls catwalking.
Chloe sighed, having no whatsoever interest in the show. She leaned towards Arty to say something to him, when she heard a gasp behind her.
She turned around, and there was a man slumped in his chair, a bullet wound in his chest. His white shirt was fast becoming red. The woman sitting next to the shot man was crying. The fashion show had stopped.
Chloe reached out and placed a hand on the right side of the man's neck, on his vein, to check for his pulse. It was slow, just about to stop. Chloe shook her head. She felt someone touch her hand, and she looked at Arty. He didn't look the slightest bit shocked. He nodded his head at the roof. The bullet had to have come from there.
"I'm on it," she mouthed to Arty, and got up. She heard the sirens of the police quite nearby. She couldn't be held back by the police. If she was fast enough, she could actually catch the killer. She quickly began to walk towards the back of the stage.
