S - lo , she already left . Zidhika !

He muttered to himslef and ruffled his hair roughly .

Ad - zi ...what was that ?

S- nothing , wait at the entrance while I bring the car . Got to convince your stubborn friend now .

Ad - ohh zidhika , see how perfectly I guessed it without even your help .

Shivaay hit his own face when Adi raised his collar and smirked .

S - I really pity for charu.

He rolled his eyes and walked to the parking area .

A - he never listens to me charu !

C - annika , he

A- please charu , don't try to defend him. I'm not at fault this time , matlab , kuch...kuch hojatha tho

She crushed her eyes lightly and fixed her gaze outside . Even a mere thought of something happening to him is her worst nightmare .

C - ok I understand ,but kindly don't start again when you find him .

A - you're sounding as if I wait for opportunities to pull a fight .

C - well , I'm not blaming you alone . You both are alike .

A- in ?

C - quarreling obviously.

Charu commented with a smile while focusing on the road ahead .

A - whatever ...let me call that monkey first.

C - annika , is it very necessary to call and shout at him now ?

A - not to shout behna , to ask where they are . What if they had started the stunt again !

She dialled for him .

He switched the windshield down when someone knocked  it . Within seconds , a strong punch landed on his nose for he already started bleeding badly .

His eyes remained tightly crushed for a few minutes , until someone opened the door and dragged him out .

It was the same person who had troubled annika. He was accompanied with a few more of his people this time .

' what happened? Is it hurting? Well , that's what I want ! '

Before shivaay could balance himslef and stand properly, he punched him again .

S - ahh !!

' don't leave him ! '

He was about to kick him on his face but shivaay pulled his leg and made him fall down . Immediately the others rushed and started to attack shivaay.

He pushed one and banged the other's face on the bonnet of the car , but soon the next few came and held him from behind .

' you can't escape today '

One from the gang threatened.

' right ! '

The man roared with pure vengeance in his eyes .

They started beating shivaay mercilessly. One punched his stomach while the other aimed for his face . How much ever shivaay tried , he couldn't support himself infront of those many . They beat him more until any least of energy was even left in him .

Here , Adi came looking for shivaay after waiting for a long time .

Ad - Shivaay .

Hearing someone's noise everyone got alert .

' hey shh, shh ! Someone's coming.'

' we have to leave '

'No way , I won't spare him ?! '

' he has got enough , now come let's leave before someone calls the police '

They pushed shivaay on the ground and ran through the other way . Adi already noticed this collapse by then.

Ad - hey !!! shivaay !

He tried to chase them but they climbed the compound wall and escaped away .

Ad - shit !

S - ahh!

Ad - shivaay , shivaay

He patted  his cheek in force but shivaay looked almost unconscious. Holding his stomach , he cringed in pain .

Adi immediately helped him up and made him settle inside the car .

Just when he was going to start the engine , his mobile rang .

Shivaay noticed it and restricted him from attending the call .

Ad - shivaay we have to tell her .

S- not now... dar jayegi .

He shook his head and uttered this while taking deep breaths . Adi agreed to him involuntarily .

A- urghh!! This monkey is not even attending my call .

C - annika , most of the time Adi's mobile remains in silent mode, he wouldn't have noticed . You're worrying for no reason. They would have left the place by now .

Annika just nodded slowly .

Sun set happened , the sky grew dark and the boys were still not found . Now annika and charu both started to worry . They had been trying for both the phones, but there was no response.

A - charu , ye donon kahan

Ding dong .

On hearing the calling bell , she let a huge sigh of relief and ran to the door .

Soon , she felt the floor beneath slipping away to suck her beyond the earth when she saw shivaay's face which was covered and hidden by blood patches , bandages  and  scratches everywhere.

It was too difficult for him to even stand . If had not Adi who stood beside and supported him , he would already fell by then .

She forgot the practice of even how to breathe in those few seconds when she took her shivering hand towards him who stood by the door and watched her in between  some slow blinks which his eyelids made .

A- shi..shiv..aay

A slow whisper escaped her lips and before her palm could reach his cheek , she already fainted for him to immediately take over and embrace her within him so that she doesn't hit the floor .

S- anni ! annika

He shook her but she seemed to have lost conscious by then . Without delaying a second, he grabbed some strength and carried her till the couch .

C - oh my God shivaay! What hap

She halted her words when he actioned her to bring some water and charu ran to the kitchen at once.

Ad - shivaay , tu bait I'll see to her . You please sit.

As much as Adi insisted , shivaay wasn't ready to agree. He nodded and kept quite , before sitting near her . He patted her cheek again .

S - annika , annika .

He then splashed some water on her face , finally , she responded and opened her eyes.

She jumped up to sit and cupped his face at once.

A - shivaay , shivaay what's this ? Tu...so much blood , kaise...tum ,

He was able to feel her trembling hands and her sobs made it really difficult for her voice to fall properly. She kept her eyes wandering on him thoroughly from head to toe while he was trying to calm her down .

S - I'm ok .

But she couldn't stop herself . The hard lump in her throat resisted her from speaking anything but still , she tried.

A - ok ?!! How did this happen ? And ...doctor , what did the doctor say ? Kahin aur lagi...shivaay tum

S - annika !

He screamed suddenly and locked her left hand within his clutch for she stopped her words and froze for a moment , though her tears kept dropping down still . Shivaay then slowly wiped those wet tears while she watched him quietly with the same worried reaction. Before she knew , she was arrested in his arms when he pulled her in a tight hug  .

She cried , sobbed in his arms and palmed his head securely . Her hands still had that shiver in them , and she could feel it very well . Those heavy breaths which she took transparented her pounding heart which remained restless throughout .

A- ye kya hogaya tumhe ...?

Came those silent words which were hardly audible because of her breaking tone. Shivaay chose to remain quite , he kept rubbing her back and caressed her hair softly .

C- Adi atleast you open your mouth and say something !

Adi looked at charu and shivaay alternatively once before bringing his words .

Ad - it was the same person ...who troubled annika . He came with his big group this time. We didn't do anything , we were actually leaving but ...

He deep sighed and shook his head .

A - if you had listened to me once ,

She stopped   after noticing his bleeding nose .

A - shivaay you're bleeding . Which idiot treated you! Charu , charu first aid box .

She held his hand with which he was  going to touch his nose .

A - no , it'll bleed more then . Wait .

Then  she slowly started pressing the cotton around the spot and shivaay closed his eyes , tightening his fists.

S - sss

He hissed continuously and annika worked  very light on his skin.

For him ,one more thing which was very tough to handle now was her tears .

S  - will you stop crying  ?!

A - do I not have freedom to cry even ?

She replied with her unclear voice .

S - don't start your arguement business please. 

A - I'm not a stone shivaay , I will do what I want to !

Saying this with anger,  she traced the cotton on his wound slowly .

S - yeah sorry,  how did I forget ? Who can win over you in an argument? None !

She frowned at his sarcastic face .

A - if only you had listened to me  , all this wouldn't have happened.  Mere saamne tho bade Hrithik Roshan bani na , then what happened?

S - hmm ! For your find information Hrithik Roshan fights with junior artists who would fly till sky by his one punch  . And am I some stunt master here ? 3 or 4 is ok but 10 people all at once ...mein koi superhero nahi hoon .

A - 10 !

Once again her eyes turned soft . She cupped his chin and stayed quite without saying anything for her tears just kept flowing. Shivaay rolled his eyes in horror.

S - charu your sister is really a split personality patient . Seconds before she was bickering and look at her now .

Charu shook her head in disbelief.

C - can't help .

She then signalled Adi to follow her before leaving the place . He obeyed and quietly walked from there .

A - what did the doctor say ?

S - nothing serious . He has prescribed some medicines , that's it .

A - haan medicines ... I, I'll bring your dinner .

S - it's ok , I

She didn't wait to hear his reply , and just went to the kitchen already . Shivaay sighed and leaned back to comfort himslef , how did he even think that she'll listen to him.

Ad - what's the secret ?

C - secret ?

Ad - you called me alone so I thought

Charu interrupted him soon. 

C - damn Adi !...you're ok right ? Did they hit you too ?

He bit his lips to stop smiling and looked straight into her concerned eyes . 

Ad - haan .

He sang the word and she grew worried.

C - what? Kahan lagi hai tuje?

She examined him from top to bottom . A sign of blood patch on his forearm caught her attention .

C - ye ...why didn't you treat this ?

She held his hand .

Ad - ahh !

C - ok sorry sorry .

Then she started to blow over it  while he kept his eyes glued on her .But when she was going to clean the wound with her stole , he jolted off immediately.

Ad - no it's ok.

C - are you mad ? Let me do it .

Ad - I'm ok charu , it's not a big deal chod na .

C - aise kaise  ? You just whined like a wounded cow , we have to treat it before it turns septic .

Ad - no 

C - Adi stupid ! listen to me...sss sorry sorry .

She uttered the last few words after holding the wounded spot by mistake but soon she realized something.

He didn't actually wince or shout this time , and moreover there was no scratch or even a sign of bruise over the skin . Just blood . She looked at him suspiciously and rubbed her palm on the same place .

Ad - ahh !! charu don't , it hurts , ahh !

Charu glared at him dangerously when he  pretended to jump in pain .

C - dard ho raha hai ?

She stretched the words and pressed his hand again .

Ad - aah haan !

On sensing something,  he slowly opened his crushed eyes to find her scowling at him .

It was nothing but just a patch of blood over there, must be shivaay's blood mostly.

Adi bit his tongue and gulped .

Ad - haan yes annika I'm coming. 

He pretended to his words and tried to leave but she caught his  elbow immediately.

C - where are you going dear ?

Ad - uhh , annika ...called me .

C - did she , why didn't I hear anything ?

She questioned and twisted his hand for he looked thrilled .

Ad - nahi vo...

C - tum kabi sudhroge nahi na ?

She started to hit his shoulder and he danced around to get rid of her hold .

Ad - charu , mein bas ...ouch !  Charu

Without paying any heed to him  , she continued with her hits . But at one point he suddenly inched closer and pecked her lips hard . For a moment , she stood as a statue with her eyes wide opened.

Ad - love you baby !

He winked and ran outside and she wiggled herself before chasing him furiously.

C - Adi dog ! I won't leave you today.

Shivika watched charu running behind him with a weird reaction on their faces .

A - grown up devils are still playing lock and key here , hmm ! Tum kao

She served some food and gave him the plate .

S - what about you ? Even you should take medicines right .

A - I'm not feeling hungry .

S - subah bi teek se kuch kaya nahi tumne , don't be stubborn now . Come on muh kolo .

She moved behind as he brought the spoon near her lips .

A - excuse Mr, you are the patient today.

S - bas .

He stuffed the food inside her mouth without letting her  speak .

A - hmm.

Annika frowned and chewed the food like a grumpy kid . There was a slight grin on his face by then. He looked at her quietly for a few moments.

S - tum...tum teek hona?

A- what happened to me ?

S - nahi vo , I didn't expect you to faint like that suddenly.

A - haina , even I don't know...how ? Even when our principal used to give boring lectures during the assembly in  solid sunny days, many would fall down and faint like logs . I always remaine an exception in that case but today ...pata nahi... seeing you like that , I was totally blanked out. See even now my heartbeat is paced .

Shivaay tightened his hand halfway which she was holding to take it near her chest . Only then she realized what she was about to do and soon , she left his hand in air and turned away without meeting his eyes . He noticed her every move closely while she bit her tongue and crushed her eyes in embarrassment.

C - how is he now ?

A - yeah he's ok . So raha hai .

C - hmm ,tum bi jao phir.

A - one second , Adi , I just forgot him . How is he ? Is he injured too ?

C - don't you worry about that idiot . He's alright.

A - ok then,  good night .

Annika climbed the bed and lied next to him. She behaved very slow and light , to not disturb his sleep.

His bruised hand , red nose and dressed forehead , she observed everything silently.

A- what have you done to yourself man ?

He moved slightly and turned to her side when she whispered this . She couldn't stop but trace her hand over his skin smoothly .

And within the next few seconds ,  he pulled her over such that she lands on his chest reflexly . She was shocked by his action but he was actually asleep.

" mein koi superhero nahi hoon "

She smiled remembering his words and looked up for her lips started to trace over his chin already .  Lifting her head slowly , she pressed a kiss on his cheek just near his lips . He tilted his head sideways and tightened his grip around her waist.

Blushing,  is what she did then .

A - you were right  . Tum superhero nahi ho , kyunki tum tho annika ka Prince ho na !

Muttering these words , she once again leaned close and planted her lips on his temple .
