A- I believe it's my turn to break your phone , can't remember the reason for its existence only !

She kept adding while comforting an asleep oreo on her lap , and shivaay on the other side was already surrounded with different thoughts . Thoughts of the vet ofcourse .

S- you've known that man ani ? I mean that Dr.Arjun .

A- I was so scared pata hai ? Some kind of creepy feeling was just...and you didn't even attend my call that time . Pagal ho rahi thi mein shivaay .

S- yeah he did give me that creepy feeling actually, and he acted like he already knew you . You know him ?

A- I didn't know thank god Rudy noticed first . I was so stupid ki mein I just woke up ,had food and sat infront of the TV . Sorry baby .

Annika clutched onto him close and caressed oreo's head softly . The journey went on with both not even being close to realize what the other person actually was saying . Focus is very important and they did have it , on something else is the correction needed . If only a third person had been present in the scene , they'd have gone mad already , what's with this dumb couple !

Holy god wanted to help this grown up kids and there came a ring on annika's mobile , finally ,she was distracted .

A- bol monkey .

Ad - where are you?

A- going home .

Ad - annika exactly kahan?

A- on a space ship towards Mars ! Google map hoon kya mein ? pata nahi near our school road I think .

Ad- super , meet me at the stationary shop .

A- you're actually here ?

Ad- I came to drop mom at the temple ,tho

A - I can sense some excitement in your monkey tone , wait for me ! shivaay not this one take the next right opposite to my school, haan .

Ad - and you know finally what she said , oh my god annika your sister was like a bomb today ! She said she doesn't care of papa's decision anymore ," I will marry Adi with or without your approval " Annika can you believe this !!

While Adi imitated telling those words like Charu annika was already surprised. As Adi exclaimed and jumped hugging annika , oreo who heard this sudden noise started whimpering and barked on being scared . Shivaay carried him immediately and traced his palm on oreo's body smoothly.

S- stop shouting like a ghost Adi , oreo dek kuch nahi hai , I'm here I'm here .

Annika chuckled watching Adi's offended face .

Ad- ghost ? Oi oreo mein ghost hoon ?

A- Adi chod na he's not feeling well today .

Ad- why what happened ?

He sounded concerned ,he was about to borrow oreo for a minute but shivaay won't approve . Adi looked at her and breathed out a deep sigh , your husband is too much! his reaction said it all but she just shrugged it off .

A- no he's ok now , we just visited a vet . Deka shivaay , Adi came  right at once to share his happy news with me . You went there too but I know nothing of it yet !

Shivaay was pissed off with that displeased reaction she made . He saw how Adi was deliberately making funny faces standing behind annika trying to irritate him , shivaay shot straight daggers at him .

S- as if I knew anything , annika charu didn't let me know anything at the first place. I didn't know that I was going for Adi's house and ....I didn't know .

A- whatever shivaay ...Finally jiju day is locked! I can't believe my sister did this monkey .

She turned facing Adi and continued their conversation.

Ad - not your sister , it's my charu who came and waged war against my father to win me back .

As he spoke he quickly actioned to have been aiming archer and fighting someone . Annika grinned watching his happy face , she didn't wait and instantly put her arms around him and grabbed him close .

A- I'm so happy for you Adi !

She crushed him in a hug which he equally contributed and quickly kissed his cheek to express her joy .

Ad- mein bi !

He was going to kiss her head when someone put their hand inbetween , it was shivaay! who had a cringy face .

S- enough haan .

Shivaay then securely pulled annika and held her in with him while Adi kept rubbing his lips continuously.

Ad - why would you do that ? Kiss chahiye ?

S- hell no ! Shut up Adi !

Annika was quietly enjoying the scene. She mumbled something to herself ,but shivaay heard it though.

A- second kiss haan.

S- dare you !

He watched his hand with an disgusted face and just rubbed it over Adi's shirt harshly .

A- oh God I just forgot this , shivaay vo stall haina , they make mouthwatering jalebis there . How many times we have jumped over the fence  to buy them haina Adi ? Come come I'm not missing it today .

She grabbed Adi's hand and ran to the place quickly . Shivaay rolled his eyes and sighed to himslef . This mini stall is going to another stall , spoke his reaction .

She bought a handful of sweets.
Shivaay who was watching her from afar noticed that something fell from her purse while she was paying. Annika who had no idea of it came all the way back near the car and started relishing the sweet with her dear friend who again turned so blind after getting to taste it . They looked like they can't hear anything even if said , shivaay decided to check for himslef and went to the shop .

It was her card and some money which she had left back , Shivaay picked them and was about to move when suddenly someone caught his back.

' chor chor chor !!'

He was thrilled when the owner started screaming and at once the people surrounded him.

S- excuse me ! No this is my

' call the police first , don't waste time '

' thank god you noticed, these kind of people are everywhere '

' we can't even trust anyone these days , looks are deceiving '

People started throwing words at him for he was really frustrated now . They didn't pay any attention to his words .

S- this is my wife's card for God's sake listen to me !!

A- oreo no , don't get down oreo oreo ! You keep doing this and I'm gonna ask the doctor to insert 10 rounds of syringes inside you next time .

Annika was entirely focusing on oreo who got down and roamed around the car , she didn't look the other side at all . It was Adi who noticed the commotion going on and he went close .

Shivaay saw Adi as his saviour and showed him annika's things while Adi was totally confused.

Ad - some public meeting going on here ? Shivaay what are you doing here ?

If only shivaay was free, he'd have given Adi a nice punch now .

'He's a thief '

Ad - what ?

S- Adi it's annika's , bolna vo she's my wife !

Getting what actually is going on here , Adi chuckled aloud before volunteering to help .

Ad - ok ok wait ! He's right he's my wife .

Shivaay stomped on his leg at once and Adi screamed not in pain rather realizing what he just said out .

S- Adi!!

Ad - ahh disaster !! I mean this man here is her wife ,these things belongs to her.

Shivaay had no hope left now , he scowled at Adi like anything who was like , what I'm trying to help ! He didn't realize that he used the wrong words once again . By the time annika came back there .

A- Adi I can't find my debit card , dundo na . Shivaay tum

She stopped and noticed that people were gathered watching nothing but her  . She looked around awkwardly . Walking straight to shivaay , she released him from the man's hold and caught his hand .

A- what's happening here ? You found my card !

' you know him ?'

A- haan he's my husband, why ?

Ad - exactly! That's what I kept saying them but they wouldn't just listen only ,they thought shivaay was stealing your money.

A- sach mei ?

Ad- haan .

Shivaay slowly moved his sight from annika and put his fiery glance at Adi , as if . Soon the crowd dispersed mumbling and murmuring things among them leaving the trio in centre.

A- my poor Prince , idhar aa

Pulling him infront of her she started dusting his dress and adjusted  the collars while he remained quiet with a reaction  of  some grumpy school kid .

Ad - poor prince ...!

S- shut up , only she can call me that . I don't like your friend  , he troubles me all the time annika .

Annika couldn't help but smile after getting to notice that cute face he made while complaining.

A- aww my dear prince !! come here come here .

She quickly hugged and comforted him with sweet words while signalling Adi to get lost from there .

Ad - traitor !

At night

She slowly closed her eyes to get a blink of sleep which overtook the situation well and there she was , asleep with her head on the table .

' Doctor? ...Dr. annika ?'

The nurse who kept repeating the same for a couple of times decided to try something else after realizing this won't work .

' Dr. Annika !'

She shouted suddenly as if thunder stroke her head and it kind of worked though . Annika jumped awake and stood up immediately.

A- sorry Dr sorry , won't let this happen next time I promise .

It took her sometime to realize the person standing before her wasn't the Dean . She sighed rubbed her face roughly and sat with a thud while the nurse reacted with a giggle .

A- arey teek haina didi , scientists should invent no sleep pills for people like me . Control nahi ho raha hai, ....ufff ,ask the person to come in mein face wash karthi hoon.

The nurse just responded with a smile and walked out while annika immediately ran to splash some water on her face . And soon there was a knock on the door , she quickly grabbed a towel and pressed it on her face .

A- yeah , come in .

As she sat back and noticed the person who just came in , her eyes went big out of surprise .

A- Dr. Arjun !

Ar - I told you right , phir milenge ?

Annika frowned, smiled and remained confused , all at once . She gestured him to take a seat and went through his file quickly. 

A- yeah but I didn't expect this sudeen visit Dr .

Ar - I'm sorry but yahan Doctor aap hai and I'm your patient.

She smiled with her eyes fixed to the file , her reaction slowly started to change as she read further 'Persistent depressive disorder 'it said .

Arjun remained quiet giving her the needed time , she kept moving her eyes from him to the file between small intervals . Even back at his place and now , he behaved so calm , this can't be , she was disturbed.

A- arjun

Ar- yeah .

A- do I have soap somewhere on my face ?

Ar- uhhh yes I think near your left ear , no not there ....haan yes .

A - thank god I kind of feel fresh now , you know I was demanding for no sleep pill a few minutes ago .

Ar- well in most cases people rely of sleeping pills, there are just few like you .

Annika heard everything but didn't choose to  comment on it. 

A-I have a question for you , you actually know me right ? I mean you've known me from before if I'm not wrong. 

There was a slow  grin which  arose on his face after when she asked that .

Ar- your Dean suggested to visit you when I asked for a specialist , I was very much moved by your profile actually. That's how I know you .

A- that's it ? I thought there would be more...ok . Dean roams around like some  strict soldier infront of me but I guess he is impressed , haina ?

Ar- isn't it obvious ?

Annika tried much to not show her real reactions , her mind was captured with more than what she can hold at the moment . So withholding all those and acting normal was tough for her.  The more she tried to dig him with casual questions , the more she was worried . His case isn't usual , she was alarmed but pretended well though .

A- uhh arjun can you please check your mobile , I just sent you a link . Try answering those questions first .

Ar- what questions?

A- it's just a formality, don't worry.  Actually pen and paper is the routine,  but I kind of don't like it , exam jaise feel aagaya tho ...it won't be nice . Just go through it fill the form and forward it to me later bas , ab kuch aur karein?

Ar- kya ?

A- I don't like quiet places , I'm sure I might end up sleeping again . Chalthey haina , walk pe . I'll see you out and  check on some patients .

By the time she finished,  arjun looked entirely surprised .

A- kya huwa ?

Ar- I...I came here for check up,  is it done I mean all done already ?

Hearing this annika smiled shaking her head .

A- arjun stop feeling like you're some patient,  kya ? Cancer hai  aapko ?

He chuckled immediately.

A- what you want me to give you an injection like you did to my oreo ? I'm so lazy to take any tests now , aayiye mere saath . Tablets and injections chahiye tho I'll give you the list of best Doctors in my stream , sach mein !

Ar- then...what are you gonna do ?

A- patha nahi , chaliye dekthey hain .

They spoke of random things as she went  for rounds and checked her patients. He liked her company while she secretly examined and noted details to make her view .

A- are you married ?

Ar- no,why , hitting on me ?

She narrowed her eyes at once .

A-really ? You remember that man with me at the hospital ? He's my  husband . This hitting theory according to me works only with him .

Arjun noticed her reactions from close .

Ar- I guess you've got one amazing love story .

A- amazing pata nahi , but adventurous zaroor hai .

Ar- I'd like to hear it sometime then .

A- waah! Therapy I have to give you , you have to speak up during sessions ,remember?

Ar- I'm  kind of a good listener actually.

A- we'll share stories then no worries ,bye .

Ar- I wish we had more time .

She just shrugged her shoulders casually when he admitted this .

A- we have ample , you can visit me often .

By the time they were already out , on the road .  She asked him to get into his car and walked back  while he stood there for sometime , staring at her retreating figure.

It was nearly 5 in the morning,  shivaay had come to the hospital to pick her but she wasn't found at her place.  He searched for her in the entire block but there was no sign of her . Only after speaking to the nurse there he came to know about some accident and that she was at the emergency block right now .

He rushed climbing the stairs to reach the block.  His eyes moved everywhere around in those few seconds   and there she was ,found seated near the  corner . Shivaay quickly dragged himslef near her and she who was busy trying to fix her broken mobile, stood up on seeing him there .

S- you're ok right ? What about your arm ? What happened actually , I've been trying to reach you since so long and tum !

Catching hold of her shivaay took one full glance to confirm she's alright .

A- I sweared to break your phone but ...time for my husband to buy me a new one I guess .

She shrugged showing the broken pieces of the mobile but shivaay didn't bother much and just kept checking on her .

S - I'll buy you that as much as you want but first answer me , are you ok ? What happened here?

A- shivaay I'm ok  I mean this is illogical man , accident arjun ko huwa why would I be hurt . He saved me .

Shivaay paused then and there , his palm slowly reached her cheek  and cupped it .

S- matlab?

A- the car would have hit me if he hadn't pushed me away . Arjun you remember that vet ?

S- hmm

A- he saved me today . Thankfully no fractures and no major injuries,  he's ok .

S- I'll go seen him .

Making her sit there outside,  shivaay went in. Arjun who was lying there on the bed slowly moved and tried to sit up when he noticed shivaay inside .

S- no please don't stress yourself.

Ar- I'm alright .

Shivaay didn't know why but the environment seemed kind of awkward for him . He put those things aside and just did what he wanted to do .

S- thank you so much , you can never know what you've done for me .

His eyes spoke his real feel of gratitude while Arjun casually smiled shaking his head .

Ar - I just saved my life .

Shivaay's reactions changed at once when he heard this. Things weren't actually as normal as they looked , he knew .

Ar- I mean thank god I saved annika and  thank god he saved me!

Shivaay showed forced  smile and nodded .

S- so how are you feeling?

Ar- good actually, never  felt this good recently . Just some pain here and there .

S- that's strange...I'm sorry I think you have to rest . I'll see you in sometime .

Ar- sure .

S- have you called for his family?

He questioned while packing her stuffs  which were scattered around in her cabin .

A- I can't reach them .

S- so you're just going to stay .

A- I don't know , I feel so tired .

She stopped him from moving around and made him sit on the couch to throw herself at him . Sitting on his lap , she quickly wrapped her arms around and laid on him. Shivaay on the other side was like ,wait I still have to clean your desk.

S- annika people look left right and left again before crossing the road you know? Consciousness is very important.

A- mein so gayi .

He sighed huge when she spoke lazily .

S - this time I'm going to speak to your Dean for real, no night shifts from now on .

A- he won't listen .

She chuckled very confidently and shivaay glared at her .

S- then resign.

A- what ?

S- can't you open a clinic or something?

A- that would be nice too but I'm used to this place , the people . I'm ok here shivaay , really .

How much ever she gestured pampering and playing smooth with him , shivaay didn't look convinced .

A- teek hai I'll request him ,ok?...bolna !

S- please do that first .

A- good , now let me sleep sometime haan .

She coiled up tight and pushed  her head into the crook of his neck , shivaay caught hold of her and settled back slowly. 

S - annika .

A- hmm

S- annika

A- hmmm?

S - arjun patient hai ?

A- shivaay he just  got 3 stitches on his forehead and a TT on his back . We don't offer these for any random person, only  patients get treated in hospital na shivaay .

S- no not that, before...I mean I saw his file on your table .

A- hmm ...yeah he is .

S- why do I feel like...something's not ok .

A- why is that ? I'm right here with you , so everything should be fine .

Saying this she cupped his face and pressed  light kisses on his cheeks .

A- ab ?

S- ab kya ?

She frowned when he spoke indifferently and kissed his neck this time .

A- how do you feel now ?

S- well...

He smirked and pretended to think , annika was pissed off now . She twisted her mouth and quickly stood up but he immediately grabbed her wrist, making her land on him again .

This time he took his turn to hide inside her crook , she giggled on feeling the graze of his stubble on her skin .

S - ab teek hoon .

Came his slow voice and annika could hardly speak.

A- you're ...tickling me  ! Shivaay...we..are in ,...a hospital.

S- doing night shift is your fault .

A- st stop talking man ,...I ca can't!

Shivaay then started peppering soft kisses all over her skin there . She couldn't hold it anymore  and squealed aloud .

A - shivaay !

S-  I didn't talk .

A- but ...but shi

Before she knew she was already balancing her position with him . Perfect arcs she made to give him access and he made a good use of it all .

A- koi aajayega !

She shouted and stood up suddenly pissing the hell out of him. Shivaay's face was worth watching . He just let out a defeated sigh and laid back on the couch .

S - it's our anniversary next month yaad hai , and yet tu

He stopped speaking when she came back right away to him and grabbed his collars.  Pulling him close she made him stare into her eyes , not an inch away their faces were . As her hands slowly crawled from his collars till behind his neck , she inched near to press her lips on his forehead.

A- ab koi nahi aayega .

As soon as she whispered this in his ears shivaay chuckled aloud on watching the locked door . He didn't wait after that and straightly attacked her neck . He bit and chewed the flesh she had there for  annika moved like a snake all the while . It was desire she had for his touch and this time her desire was ready to  overtake her shyness . She gulped biting the inner layer of her lips when he slid her kurthi down . 

' Dr . Annika '

Someone knocked the door .

Both got up immediately and stood apart , away .

S- world has no mercy ! I'll wait for you downstairs.

He grabbed her bag and left shaking his head while she adjusted her dress and ran behind him to open the door. Luck was too far for her this day.
