C - I don't know Adi , papa doesn't look very fine with us .

She kept ther coffee mug on the table making a clear noise , and asked with much of curiosity on her face while he remained quite for a few moments until she touched his hand to insist again .

Ad- I haven't talked to him yet .

Charu looked baffled .

C- when then ?

Ad - charu , my papa ...his willingness is very important to me .

He stated this with a serious face and charu was already dubious .

C- that's what I'm asking , ok wait a minute . What if your father says no ? Then ...?

Ad - charu don't be so negative

She interrupted soon .

C- answer me Adi !

Ad- you know one thing charu ? In all these years he had never raised his voice over me even once. Generally, they say that a single son would always be a mumma's boy but I'm an exception .

Her voice remained to be the lowest of tone as her eyes went keen to stare him . He shook his head immediately.

Whispering those last few words he pulled her hand to leave a light kiss on her knuckles and grinned noticing her blushy smile .

Shivaay peeled off the last bandage from her face which was attached on her chin. He played very slow when she winced a little and crushed her eyes . The stitch mark was still visible but the wound has nicely healed now.

Exchange of words didn't occur much since when they came back . At present , he was silently making her have those tablets before going to bed .

She kept staring at him when he held the glass for her to empty it slowly . But shivaay didn't reciprocate those gazes back . He left after making sure that she had all the medicines.

Annika exactly knew what was bothering him . The little clash of thoughts they share is not a big deal actually. In her case , she was determined to pull every trouble from his path so that he could proceed up happily. His happiness is all she would want to ask , that's why she opted to pic that way .

Thinking all this , she slowly leaned back on the bed when her mobile kept on the side table rang flashing her papa's picture . She grinned noticing that.

A- papa !

R- beta , kaisi hai tu ? Sorry , did papa disturb your sleep ?

A- papa , you know very well that even thunderstorms and tsunamis can do no harm to my sleep . In that case , if I had picked the call in the very first ring, you should have known that your daughter is still awake !

She heard his chuckle and smiled .

R- indeed ! Tho annika , how are you ? If you had been here I would have visited you par tum tho ... chod . Did you take your medicines ? Knee pei gaav kaisi hai aur

A- one second papa ,the list of my wounds will prolong like ...who is that? Haa hanuman's tail . So I'll make it easy for you now , I'm all fine . Shivaay is taking very good care of me , now only he made me swallow all those tyres and tubes called tablets. But ...I have one thing to complain about him !

A- I would have got some toffees and sweets after every tablet if you had been with me , but shivaay isn't using that technique at all . Only bitter pills !

As soon as she finished, it was only silence which she heard from the other line . She soon grasped the reason behind it .

R- yes annika , yahin hoon .

A- didn't charu tell you ? I mean she and Adi .

R- pata hai muje , but ...I just don't want to make any decision in hurry or haste . Adi ...acha ladka hai but what he did

A- papa, please don't think that I'm supporting him . All we want is charu's happiness and trust me papa, only Adi can guarantee that . I think you should speak with uncle and aunty once .

Raghav let a loud chuckle hearing this .

R- tum are tumhari baathein bi na...! lo bool hi gaya mein , when did we renew our car's insurance lately? You know , today I was caught by the cop for driving with an expired license and no insurance papers .

R- they would have ceased the car if I had not given money .

R- fine was 6000 ,imagine! . And they were like we'll cease the car , you pay the fine at court and take it back . But they were somehow convinced with the thousand which I gave them in hand .

A- bribe!! This is so wrong papa , you shouldn't encourage such things . It's your fault , you didn't carry the right papers so you should have payed the fine at court .

R- you don't know annika . Until then our car would have been there , and you know kya hoga ? Most of the engine parts and spares will have gone stolen .

A- whatever papa , you can't justify this .

After a silent minute , Raghav spoke .

R- ok , from now on I will carry all the papers with me and I'll follow the rules strictly. Done ?

A- better .

R- kitni badi hogayi meri annika , I'm so proud of you beta . Some say that it's wise to bend the rules and be selfish at times , but that only gives a temporary solution . I'm glad that my daughter is beyond wise to declare what's right and what's not !

Annika's thoughts travelled somewhere else after hearing his words. She kept quite .

R- you remember when we renewed the insurance lastly?

She lied back on the bed and stared at the ceiling blankly. Only now she realized . How selfish she had been with her thoughts of dealing with shivaay's problem . And here , he father says that he's proud of her . Indeed, shivaay alone becomes an exception who tends to bring such changes in her . If not , there's no way she would think of doing those things.

This is wrong, she realized. Even if it is for his sake , this is wrong. She was clear .

The next day ,

Shivaay was shocked on finding that man by the door when he opened it on hearing the bell sound.

A- let him in shivaay.

She who stood behind him spoke .

S- annika , we can talk about this . Please.

' arey , as I said before . Your wife is more smarter than you. Listen to her '

Shivaay turned and glared at him when the man made his way in and sat on the couch .

' cash ready hai? '

A- hmm .

She responded while taking a bag from beneath the sofa . Shivaay was beyond shocked on watching all this .

S- annika , kya kar rahi ho tum aur ye

A- shivaay , tum chup raho . I'll handle it .

That's it , shivaay lost his last string of cool mind. He directly barged to stand right infront of the man .

S - hey you , get up and leave my house now !

He snapped his finger and declared passing dangerous stare on him when annika came and held his hand from behind .

A- shivaay ,

S- stop it annika !

Jolting off her hands , he screamed at her face .

A- shivaay then we will never be able to save our property .

' sahi bol rahi hai ye . Maanta hoon ki, the papers I submitted at court are all fake but there's no way you can prove that . None can find it . And I even don't have any claim for the property , it solely belonged to my step brother. Par deka ? Bahut kuch kar saktha hoon mein . You have no way rather to sign truce with me Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi ! '

As the man smirked saying this annika loosened her grip on shivaay's wrist and put on an evil smile cover her lips .

A- I was waiting for this only ! bahut bol diya tumne , kaafi hai .

Both the men showed their confused faces when annika said this and gave a victorious smile.

S- anni

A- I'm not going to stop you now shivaay, I've got what I needed. Please go ahead .

The man's eyes widened when she smirked shaking the mobile in her hand while shivaay who somewhere understood what was going on , had a stunned grin captured on his face . She winked seeing the change in his reactions .

He was shocked when she played video taken . Everything which happened a minute ago has been recorded.

Shivaay caught the man and punched his nose when he leapt and tried to reach near annika .

The man rose his head up to stop the bleeding in his nose.

A- deko , withdraw the case and just vanish away orelse you very well know what we can do with this . You can no more block us with any threats because hamare paas strong evidence hai tumhare kilaaf. Deal manzoor hai ?

She popped her brows questioning him and he stared the both for a few seconds ,then his sight fell on the big bag . She saw this and immediately spoke.

A- it has some clothes for laundry inside , you want it ?

The man stomped his foot on the ground and groaned before leaving the place .

Shivaay turned to show his amused face to her watching which she grinned widely .

S- what was that annika ? Ye kab plan kiya tumne?

She just blinked and shrugged.

A- annika intelligent hai ,but still half the credit goes to those old fashioned films !

S-mujse batha sakthi thi na ?

A- in a pre planned event , the rehearsal show would be certainly too good than the actual live show in stage . What if you had over acted ? Isliye nahi bathaya tumhe .

Shivaay narrowed his eyes when she commented.

S- overaction ? Mein ? See who's speaking about it !

A- haww! Don't change sides ok , until I showed the mobile , you yourself had no idea of what was going on . I acted so well ki tum bi maan gayi na, aur tum keh rahi ho overacting?!

He let a sigh and shook his head .

A- shhh. Before anything , mein kuch bolna chahthi hoon .

She pressed her finger on his lips and he stopped speaking.

A- I'm sorry , I shouldn't have spoke to you like that yesterday. I was wrong ,totally wrong. Pata nahi jab bath tumhare aathi tho , mein ...badal jathi hoon . Sor

S- shh it's ok . It's ok .

Annika watched into his eyes when he was rubbing a spot on her chin with his thumb softly. A light smile appeared on their faces automatically.

S- you deserve a reward for helping me .

A- really !!

S- shopping...?

She grinned and nodded immediately making him chuckle.

Annika's mouth went awide when a woman tripped and fell in shivaay's arms as they both stood stepped onto the escalator. Since the girl was present before them , she had entirely dropped her weight on shivaay who was holding her carefully. Annika immediately pulled the girl's hand from his neck and helped her stand properly.

A- cut the call first , you can speak afterwards . You would have somesaulted and fell down if we hadn't been here .

The girl rolled her eyes lazily at annika but her reactions changed as soon as her eyes caught shivaay in sight. Annika fumed noticing this .

' thank you '

S - it's ok .

He muttered this and concentrated on checking his mails ,while the girl turned a number of times to just take a glance of him . Annika was pissed off .

As soon as they reached the third floor , she caught his elbow and dragged him to the clothing shop . He was confused ,why is she pulling him like a cart ? Only if he knew the reason .

Annika picked some sleevless gowns for her while shivaay was checking for his type of clothes at the Male section .

As she stood infront of the mirror pressing the dress to herself , something else on the image caught her attention .

The same woman was here . She seemed to have been stealing secret glances of the man standing there, shivaay . Annika's nose flared and went all pink by now . She kept the gown back and marched to her .

A- good right ?

The girl wriggled a bit on hearing her voice suddenly, before looking beside .

' hmm ?'

A- I mean this .

She pointed the dress which the girl had in her hand .

' ha haan ! It's so nice , design bi achi hai'

Annika couldn't take it more when the woman looked everywhere but her. Her eyes just couldn't stop scrolling all over the room , searching for someone. And annika exactly knew who that someone certainly is . That's when she noticed the cloth in her hand and soon pressed her lips together to control her laughter.

The woman clearly saw annika's reaction and grew baffled . Only then she bent down to see the thing . Immediately her eyes widened and she threw the dress away .She really felt embarrassed on realizing that she was certainly holding men's inner vest all this time . Concentrating much on the strange handsome man , she hardly even noticed what she was collecting.

Annika cracked up when the girl twisted her lips and walked away without looking back .

She was still laughing when shivaay touched her shoulder from behind.

S- why are you laughing?

A- I'll tell you , you're done? What have you got ?

She somehow managed to speak and stop laughing.

S- yeah .

Her eyes rolled in a full circle when she saw him showing those formal shirts and blazers . She exhaled deeply .

A- I don't like them .

S- aise kaise ? These are too good .

A- no . It's annika's selection day , first I'll choose something for me then we'll go to your department. Hmm?

S- par

A- no more arguments !

She grabbed those clothes and arranged them right there along with women's palazzo pants making him pass weird looks .

A- shivaay , wait here . I'll just be in a minute haan .

As she picked those gowns and entered the trial room , he waited outside. Just when she was ahout to close the door , she noticed that very same girl approaching the trial room .

' yahan bi ...! Annika don't leave your Prince outside. This girl just won't stop ogling him '

As the woman came near the trial room annika peeped out and pulled him inside which was clearly noticed by her . She went clueless .

While shivaay on the other side was entirely thrilled when annika dragged him in by holding his collar .

S- anni kya

A- shhh!!!

She closed his mouth with her palm and insisted him to be quite. She was very sure that the girl was still standing outside and that's when something striked her .

Suddenly she kissed her own hand which was placed on his mouth . He was speechless while she just winked at him and became silent to know whether the girl still stood outside .

' Kahin vo uski girlfriend tho nahi ...'

Thought this girl after hearing those sound of deep smooches from inside.

Here annika grinned mischievously . But suddenly she tripped by the stool kept there and fell on him who in turn leaned back on the wall behind ,holding her waist securely.

The only barrier between their lips was her palm placed on his mouth . She blinked slowly feeling his hot breath fanning her nose tip continuously while he looked so lost in those captivating eyes of her's by now .

He brought his hand infront to slip his fingers between her locks and pull them out from his view . And she almost closed her eyes on feeling his fingers drawing patterns on her skin between her cheek and temple when he collected her tendrils of hair .

Next came the sky shot for her knees fell weak already . She kept her gaze fixed down completely when he held her wrist and tried to bring her hand down from his mouth . That was really a very slow process which he did inch by inch grasping her each and every expression . He loved to be the reason behind the shy her .

Once he removed her hand from his mouth , he twisted holding it behind her back . In that sudden action she couldn't help but lean on him more for now his breath hit her lips directly. Annika had no courage to look up at him and meet his eyes . Her respiration rate turned uneven .

He smirked noticing her parted peach shaded lips . He twisted her wrist more and that's when she slowly looked at him .

The temptation was something else .

His intense gaze brought fever in her that she already felt her skin turning warm . She crushed her fist when he once again played with her locks blew over a spot on her forehead .

S- kuch... tha yahan .

He could certainly feel how stiff she was , he smiled .

His other hand which had kept her waist arrested all this time slowly moved up to hold her neck in firm . She tilted her head slightly when his cold palm patched on her neck .

A- shivaay

She was only able to whisper his name then .

S- annika mein tumse kuch

Knock knock.

Shivaay went insane hearing the sudden knock from outside while she immediately moved back and straightened herself. He hadn't have cursed anyone more worse than what he's doing right now , the person by the door is his crucial foe!

Annika opened the door to find the woman standing outside . Now she knew the reason behind that thunderous knock.

' so much time ?! , is this your father's shop or what?'

A- hello Ms , as far as I know the room to try men's vest is that side . What are you doing here !

The girl fumed when annika mocked pointing the men's trial room .

She then saw the couple coming outside together and cringed .

' public manners bi nahi hai , ek kamre mei...so cheap'

A- oi Ms. Manners India !

Annika reacted immediately when she heard that , while shivaay passed a confused look .

' excuse me '

A- titanic deka hai ?

' what ?'

S- annika kya

A- one second shivaay , tum , titanic deka hai ? Jack , rose ..?

' yeah '

She replied in low tone being still bewildered.

A- how many times ?

' 15 to 20 '

A- did you run and hide in the kitchen during that car scene ? 20 baar bi deki hogi tum !

' car...ohh that's a chariot actually '

A- deka ! Kya notice kiya isne,  and then you come and pretend like a sanskari type kid .I know girls like you are...chod! My husband was helping me inside , tumhe kya ?

' husband?!'

She looked shocked , while Shivaay was watching his wife in wonder . What is she even doing !

A- see , out of all which I said , only this went into your head haina ? I just realized how big Manners india you are . Check karo ki isbaar kya laya , kissi ko gurkar koi boxers tho nahi laya na tumne !

She glared when annika giggled saying this ,shivaay already held her hand and dragged her away from there. The girl had a defeated face and slammed the door forcely.

S- what was that annika ?

A - you can't know, pata hai how she was staring at you when she fell on you ? Jaise ki vo kajol aur tum sharuk.

Annika twisted her lips saying this .

S- staring me ? I didn't even know that.

A- girls are masters in this technique , and this one is just ....!

She gritted her teeth and turned to check some casual shirts for him . Shivaay's lips beamed with smile on realizing something.

S- ohh! Now I know why you pulled that stunt inside the trial room ? Dikarahi thi na , ki mein... sirf tera hoon .

He bent close to her ear and whispered . She bit her lip to hold the blush , and dared to turn .

She crushed her eyes lightly feeling his breath hitting her earlobe.

A- ye ...I think you should... try this .

Moving a little away she held the shirt infront of his face and hid behind it but he grabbed it from her immediately just to find her pink mushy face .

Soon she pressed her lips against each other and pretended to check some shirts while he smirked rolling the tongue over his inner cheeks .

I still haven't figured out how to sit across from you , and not be madly in love with everything you do 💘
