A huge Thanks to everyone who are taking time to read my work  . Guess what ? We have reached the 25th chapter of Heart demands my queen!!! Didn't expect this response when I started first .

Let's begin then,

Annika saw Rudra peeping inside the room from the mere gap of the door when she was combing her hair , standing infront of the mirror .

A - Rudra , I found you ...!

She sang the line and Rudy crushed his eyes , smacking himslef for getting caught.

R- kuch nahi bhabi, I was coming...inside actually.

Raising her brows , she walked till the door and opened it .

A- really ? Then why were you afraid and spying ? This isn't any ghost's room .

Rudra clearly knew that he was caught. 

R- ok I surrender , I came here to steal my bike key . Baiya wouldn't give me if he were here , but I saw him leaving . So I ...

Making a small puppy face , he dragged the word and annika spoke immediately.

A- shivaay said that he had sold your bike right ?

R- yes bhabi,  but my old bike is still there in the garage. The key is with him , I've seen it in his cupboard . It's a single key  without any keychain ,could you please.

Before he could complete,  she shook at once.

A- no way! You know your rules right? Go with the driver , wherever you want .

She made a strict face watching which Rudy instantly started pulling her chin within his grouped fingers until she would clear that stern reaction off her face, which she did.

R- please bhabi,  just one day. Friends ke saath , outing hai aaj . Please...!

A- what's wrong in car? Sorry Rudy I can't give it .

R- bhabi everyone will be riding a bike , I'll feel bad right? Bike is my craze and baiya already punished me great by not allowing me to ride it all these days . I don't want to sit idle in the car  paralyzed , while the driver takes me everywhere. Please bhabi.

Squeezing his eyes , he kept repeating the word please and annika thought for few seconds before approving. At once there was a wide grin on Rudy's face . She picked the key from the cupboard and forwarded but soon took it back , claiming to tell him something first .

A- no fast riding , no riding at night so you understand what I'm saying right ? Return home before evening, and call me when you reach and leave from there . If these conditions are ok then ...

Lending the key far off him , she gripped it with her fingers to leave it hang down.  And Rudra spontaneously nodded fast before taking it from her.

R- done ! thank you bhabi ,thank you so much!

He jumped joyously and ran out , not before giving her a quick hug .

After attending the patients and completing her daily rounds ,she settled in her domain room and went through certain files until Elizabeth came in . Within a second she had walked in already ,  leaving the door bang on forcely. Annika closed the file and poured a glass of water for her .

A- what about manners ?

Passing the glass , she questioned for which Elizabeth frowned in anger.

E- will I have to take permission and knock to even meet my best friend?

A- mei mazaak kar rahi thi , acha sorry leave it angry bird . Now tell me , what's it?

E- again ! They're torturing me to get married . It's getting really serious annika , they're showing photos and all . I'm really scared. 

Watching her glistening eyes , annika grasped what she was going through now .

Holding her hand within her's ,annika pinched her lap with her another hand making her wince aloud.

E- pagal, ahh!

A-  married woman ho tum and you're surfing through the pics of  most wanted bachelors already ? There are more girls in town baby , leave some boys for them too .

The moment she uttered these to tease her , Eli had given a nice punch on her shoulders that annika had to rub that place continuously.

E -  this isn't a joke ,

A- aww ! With whom will I play if not with you ? Fine, no more games now . Dek , you don't have to trust me . Par Zahir. You trust him right? He has taken such a big decision just for you . Keep faith in your love , it'll lead you . And don't worry about these things . Zahir is always there to stand by and support you through everything... just remember that. What else do you need in love rather this ?  Everything will be fine soon.

She spoke while holding her hands firmly and all Elizabeth could do was smile , a slow smile before pulling to hug her .

E- you really speak so well baby .

A- I know , so what about my consulting fee then ?

Eli immediately pulled back and glared at annika's greedy grin .

E- fine , evening kahin baahar chalthey hain . And dinner bhi ,

A- oops ,I'm sorry.  Your friend is already booked for today's evening.

E- wow! Is it your Prince ?

A- haaye , if only it was ...! par nahi . I've promised Adi to go  for shopping with him , he wants to buy something for charu.

Elizabeth chuckled noticing how annika's  dreamy smile faded when she realized she wasn't going with her Prince .

Since shivaay was quite busy in the afternoon ,he had  skipped his lunch.  And only when Tej suggested that he would look after things until he finishes lunch , he agreed ,and was ready to go to the nearby restaurant when it was already 4.30 PM .

S- I'm yet to study the IT papers papa .

T- I'll see to it ,

S- ji , I'll be back soon .

Saying this , he walked to leave and  was just ahead of pulling the door open when he heard Tej's shocked voice from back.

T- what ? ...kahan? Yeah I'm coming .

Shivaay watched Tej's  fingers  to be trembling when he cut the call and he  immediately rushed near him .

S- what happened bade papa?

T- Rudra , ...Rudy had an... accident again. He's admitted at the  LC  hospital.

Shivaay's eyes widened in shock when he listened to his words . Why is it always his brother ? He crushed his eyes and prayed to  god , to never bring those dreadful days  back again . His family had already bore much . Watching Tej's state , he thought of  consoling him first .

S- badepapa, our Rudy will be fine . Nothing will happen to him ,  aayiye mere saath .

A- hmm, how's papa?

C- he ? Stubborn man fought with me this morning,  saying he wouldn't take any leave from work today.

A- charu chod na , he's totally fine. Don't treat him like a patient now.

C- when have you agreed with me, chal before I forget  let me tell  this first . Vo , haina tumhara dosth...

Annika rolled her eyes and smiled pressing the mobile to her ear closely , knowing who she was actually mentioning of .

A- kaun ?

C- vo...!

She emphasized and annika chuckled.

A- arey, I've got many friends.  Tell the name atleast.

C- Adi !

Annika certainly knew that Charu would have gritted her teeth while muttering it . Annoying her would be the first thing she would love doing , she grinned.

A- haan ! Yeah,  what about him ?

C- I just spoke to my HR , he said that Adi is shortlisted. Ask him to meet  the manager once and... we'll see .

A- wow charu ,It's a great news !! He'll  really be happy if you yourself tell this to him.

C- just do what I say annika .

A- par charu,

Beep .

Annika closed her eyes and let a deep sigh . Extremities in emotions of her dear sister is always to another extreme . What would have happened between the two that she's so angry on him still , after all these  years ? She wondered.

Just then she remembered about Rudra and decided to call him to check if he had started from there by now.

She heard the full ring going on with none picking up .

A- maybe he's riding .

But still , to convince her half heart which wanted her to make sure  , she dialled again . She sighed as  he picked up finally when the ring was again going to halt , after have rung fully .

A- hello Rudra ?

G- bhabi ...

A- gauri ? Is Rudy already home ?

G- nahi bhabi ,vo...Rudy baiya had met with an accident . We are here , in the ...hospital.

A- kya ? Accident...kaise ?

Her breath went uneven as she responded with the same shock residing throughout her face thoroughly .

G- pata nahi bhabi, but the Dr  said that there aren't any major injuries. So , nothing to fear .

A- mein abi aathi hoon .

The Doctor convinced everyone mentioning ,there isn't any internal injuries and he can be discharged tomorrow morning itself but Tej and Jhanvi were still showing their sad faces to Rudra who was struggling to console them .

While the others sat on the row of seats outside the ward , shivaay alone stood , leaning on the wall .

That's when annika came rushing up the stairs . Her constant frown and worried eyes spoke how much scared she was . Watching everyone except Tej and Jhanvi to be waiting there , she dragged herself fastly.

A- Om ...Rudy , he's ok right ? Kaise huwa ye ?Can I meet him now ?

Holding heavy breathes,  she somehow managed to ask.

Om- yes bhabi, he's fine . You please sit down first . Paani pilijiye , gauri

He insisted gauri to give her water but  annika refused .

A- nahi I'm ok. I ...I want to meet him .

S- you can't  !

She , who was still breathing fastly, turned back to face him when she heard his hard scream . He looked angry , she grasped it and gulped deep to save her dry throat .

A- matlab?

S- matlab you can't meet him. Do I look any fool to you ? You knew I wouldn't have given the bike key if he had asked me but even then you approved. See , what you have done ?

She crooked her eyes realizing his words which he had just spat out of rage .

A- you're blaming me ?

S- then ? I keep the keys hidden and you just grant them as like that. Thank god , he's safe without any major injuries.  Or else .... I can't even... think of it.

Rubbing his palm over his head, he closed his eyes as the flashes of past haunted him . Rudra's fatal accident which happened a year before . He can never tolerate if anything happens to him .

Om- shivaay , annika ne

S- Om please ,

Before even Om could speak anything shivaay showed his palm,  indicating him to stop . Pinky who was seated at the cornered seat ,watched this in worry.

A- shivaay , how would I know that ye sab ...

S- exactly! You can't know everything , tumhe kuch pata bhi nahi hai,  please stop giving such excuses annika . Hogaya na accident ? My brother is inside  , getting blood from a bottle hung there.  This sight , I can't handle this again ,I...

As his words quivered highly, he shook his head and stumbled to get hit by the wall at back . And annika immediately forwarded to support but he jolted away at once .

A- shivaay tum ,

S- just leave annika .

She froze the moment when these words entered her ears , and stood still , watching his cold eyes keenly . That's when Jhanvi came out and told that Rudra asked for them . Instantly everyone except annika ran inside leaving her stare at the place where shivaay actually stood a few seconds back .

She looked lost .

R- baiya before you end up beating me , let me make it clear . It wasn't my fault, that stupid car driver rode in one way and within a blink sab kuch ...I didn't drive rashly, promise baiya .

Watching shivaay entering the room , he started reciting and pinched his throat at last to promise . Shivaay didn't speak anything but ran to pull him in a hug and rubbed his back .  Sending a thousand thanks to God, he wiped his tears before it could drop down.

S- I've told Khanna to dismantle and sell your two wheeler, you aren't getting it back ever.

Pulling back he said this , sounding very  serious .

R- you look so evil baiya . Mera bike , please .

S- that's it Rudra ! Everything has  a limit. 

Rudra's face fell down watching shivaay's stern reaction . He knew , none can change his brother's decision now. He then gradually looked up to find his entire family standing there , God knows how the nurse hasn't scolded for bringing a whole cricket team inside an hospital ward , he thought and smiled. But soon annika's absence caught his attention. 

R- baiya , where's bhabi ?

Shivaay remained silent after hearing his question, without reacting much .

Just then Pinky who went outside to check on annika ,came back .

P- she isn't there outside,  where did she go suddenly ?

S- kya ?

He, who was sitting on the bed facing Rudra turned and looked at pinky , being baffled . Soon ,he walked out to just get a sight of the empty corridor and returned back .

Om - you shouldn't have said all that shivaay . We all know about this duffer here , he would have pestered bhabi for the keys .

Rudy put up a grumpy face on receiving a smack from Om , while shivaay heard everything with his sight fixed on the mobile .

R- did baiya actually  scold bhabi for giving me the key ?

Om- he did .

R- ohh my God baiya  ...! Why you had to do that? She , she didn't so anything baiya . At first she actually denied , but I troubled her to give it . Kyun baiya ?

The elders remained quite listening to everything while shivaay looked at Rudra once before walking out , with his fingers  working on his phone. Om and gauri followed him out. 

Annika was walking on the road to the bus stop with a plain reaction  on her face .

She seemed too normal yet different.

By the opposite side , Aditya who was actually going to pick her up from the hospital , noticed her there and took a U turn to reach  the other side .

Stopping right near her , he removed his helmet and spoke .

Ad- hey Annika, I told I'll pick you  right ? What's the rush? I was going to your hospital now , thank God I found you or else I'd have...

He halted his sentence on finding her standing erect with her gaze fixed straight on the road and not him . Hopping out , he caught her elbow .

Ad- annika ...? What's wrong?

Shaking her a little he asked being worried and she immediately fell out from her thoughts , realizing that Adi is here .

Before he could ask anything further , he felt her leaning onto him when she hugged him tight . He just had a confused reaction on his face, but chose to comfort her first .

Rubbing her back slowly he remained silent ,while she pressed her forehead on his shoulder and closed her eyes .

She leant on the bike while Adi just came back with a juice bottle . Snatching it from him , she sipped to syringe out more than half of the liquid  . He let a sigh before asking .

Ad- is your Prince a mad or what  ?

As soon as he said his ,he heard her making a twitching sound with the tongue , seeming to oppose  .

Ad- what ? You go and worship him , I can't . There was nothing you did , but you had to hear all that from him . Sorry annika , I can't take this .

He shook his head and stared at her , seeking a response.

A- Adi , even now I ain't angry on him . Seeing Rudra in that position, he would have been so disheartened , in pain !  My problem is that , he never chooses to understand me anytime when I here , think from his side everytime.

Taking another gulp from the bottle , she spoke and crooked her eyes to something small . She was disturbed,  much more .

Ad- you know what annika ? I'm your childhood friend,  I myslef am not able to understand you . Means , how can you even say that you aren't angry ?

Emphasizing the word angry ,he enquired and she kept rubbing her forehead until she spoke.

A- getting angry or not isn't the problem here , whenever I look up and think that everything will be fine and one day he would love me , suddenly situations take turns and push me to the same point where I started.  I agree,  in anger he just does things which he will actually regret afterwards but ...every other time it's always me .

Adi listened to her silently when she added .

A- I'm really afraid Adi . Even if someone other than him had told this I wouldn't have worried but ...he .

Ad- gussa bahut aa raha hai uspe ,

A- no Adi , you don't know him. He is like that,  very sensitive when it's about his brothers...his family.

Ad- then who are you to him annika ?

Annika looked upon him slowly when he asked it . The thought that she had no words to oppose his claim left a hard pang in her  heart that her eyes which were all clear until then ,started oozing water within . She immediately looked up and bit her lips , to retain it back in there only .

A- I'm his wife , that's what he says always. I couldn't actually get mad at him for this , you know what I was thinking when he shouted at me ?

She chuckled slowly and smiled , asking this .

Ad- kya ?

A- I've seen him closely , his kind of love and care is totally different but it's worth  every  damn thing it takes . He...hardly expresses anything but what he feels for the person he cares is ...is beyond anything , I was certainly sensing a big huge void within me for not getting to be loved by such a man ,  when he was scolding me . I want to see how his blue eyes would fill the feels within them  when he's in love , I ... I need him Adi , I really... love him .

The last few words were shaken by her shivering voice . She held Adi's hand and pressed it hard  , while he was already feeling sad on seeing her like that  . The annika he knew was different, ofcourse she was emotional but this ... ,she seemed so into love that even after getting blamed , she's here seeking nothing but  love .

Ad- you've become more partial than our science mam annika . So partial towards your Prince , I know you never get angry but I can't digest this reaction from you . Love in exchange for blame ...?!

Trying hard to divert the sad her ,he said this with a playful smile and she didn't take any further delay to leave a slight punch on his stomach .

He grinned  watching her smile.

You must know ...surely , you must know it was always for you 💘

Actually I thought of  continuing this chapter as I didn't complete with what I had actually planned. But sorry , time didn't permit to type more now as the sequence of scenes keep emerging  on . These assignments and online tests are rising up to take my life  again  😭

Some more parallel scenes will be shown in the next chapter.
