Adi and Charu consult a doctor , Annika makes it clear that she can't be their surrogate which even Charu denies wanting . Annika decides to do higher studies . Annika started cursing people who invented these exams , it has been an hour already but she was still staring at the same page cause nothing seemed to enter into her head . And still there were three to four books of the same anaconda size she had to cover . This looked devastating.

A- shivaay ! I think I forgot how to learn after all these years .

He who was getting ready standing in front of the mirror watched her through it and frowned .

S- people forget to learn , forget what they learned but here my alien wife forgets how to learn. Typical Annika . Wait , what are you ...first of all position Annika. Come on sit straight .

Shivaay came around and pulled her to make her sit upright on the study desk but she denied and went back to her comfort posture for learning .Well , what was that ? Lying down on the bed . He glared at her again .

A- shivaay that doesn't work for me , in that position everything goes into the stomach . But this ,keeping the head down helps the flow to the brain . What should work during exam ? Stomach or brain ?

S- seriously? All this to cover up your laziness ! As if you're never gonna get up for anything ? What will happen then , all into your stomach it is . Planning to write exam in the same position too ?

A- of course a topper like you won't understand a last bencher's logic.

S- kuch bhi !

He shook his head in disbelief and prepared to move but she suddenly got up and pulled his tie to make him fall on her .

A- want to know the real reason why I can't study?

S- hmm.

He replied with a straight face which was difficult to hold with their lips almost close , so close that her's actually traced his buds while she spoke. He couldn't give a proper reply which could trigger something else and sabotage her study time.

A- Prince looks so irresistible in this black suit . I can't concentrate .

She whispered these slowly with a cute little pout at the end. Here he struggled to control , she was playing now , deliberately.

S- I know , I was watching your through the mirror .

Annika blushed looking away and put a grumpy face on hearing what he said next .

S- all this is fine but now exams first , ok ?

A- I know I'm not in my best looks right now ,but teek tho... hoon na ?

She kind of peeped down to examine herself , and when she was about to go for the mirror he pushed her back on the bed , throwing the book aside . Her reactions changed , she looked confused while he stared at her straight for a minute before coming down close.

Her mountain peaked knees gave up to fall back flat as his cold palm paved way into her crop top . She kept blinking slowly while he clasped and played with her flesh under the top , at some point she couldn't handle it for she quickly wound up her arms around his neck tight . Shivaay smiled a bit , his other hand worked on her clutch , he clipped it out before seeping his fingers into her hair locks .

She twisted and tightened her legs when he came close and started kissing and sucking out the skin near her ear. Annika kept exhaling through her mouth as his lips traced their way along her jawline to come stand by the chin . Just when she remembered to breathe through her nose he once again made her breathless. He smoothly came down rubbing his nose and placing loud smooches through the way until they felt her soft skin revealed underneath. She gulped hard and her fingers ran fast into his hair to get a tight grip while he pressed a wet kiss on her stomach ,just above the belly button .

He then moved up to stare at her face , she let out a slow gasp .

S- you don't know how hard it is for me , because you always look irresistible.

Shivaay expressed this sincerely and she smiled , grinned hard .At a certain point both knew what they wanted as they could'nt just stop staring at the other's lips . And that's when she cursed herself for setting up a reminder for every half an hour in case if she sleeps while studying, which is high likely possible.

He blinked out on hearing the sound and moved back , not before planting a soft kiss on her forehead though .

S - study mam.

A- after everything you just did ?

S- maybe I should go back to Goa , for a couple of weeks you know .

A- no way!

She screamed as soon as he suggested.

S- why ?

A- I can't stay without you . You don't know that ?

S- I knew . I just wanted to hear it from you .

He passed his mischievous smile saying this and she adored him with her heart eyes . Both looked like complete losers right now , losers in love.

S- that's enough for now , I've got some model papers downloaded . We have a test this evening remember?

She cringed and started tracing her palm on the bed in frustration, where is that book now .

Another half an hour went by , she read quietly until her brain went to off mode once again. Break time , she was alarmed . He was still roaming inside with his laptop , she became confused.

A- I thought you were going somewhere.

S- hmm? No actually it's an online meeting . But seems like there's some problem , maybe they'll postpone it.

A- hein, Coat and tie are ok fine but you could've worn some comfortable tracks right ? It's just an online meet.

S- I did that last time , but oreo came in suddenly and then I had to stand and take him away , you know how embarrassing it was ! I was just left in my shorts .

He complained like a kid and Oreo who played under the bed came out barking at once on hearing his name.

S- yes ,you , all because of you !!

Annika laughed out loud on seeing him fight with oreo who came running to jump and settle on her lap . She comforted him with sweet words before laughing once again.

A- thank God , not boxers that time.

S- Annika ...!

He whined again , she couldn't control the grin only. Just then they heard a knock to find pinky coming inside along with someone . Annika sat up and straightened herself while shivaay looked at his mom quizzically.

P- meeting hogaya tera?

S- it's postponed mom.

P- good , aap le lijiye .

' ok , please remove your coat '

S- what ...! Mom?

P- stop being grumpy all the time shivaay , your birthday is around the corner so I thought why not bring a special costume for you this time . Don't worry she's the best designer , I've already chosen a wonderful suit for you !

The lady took the tape , shivaay seemed reluctant though , he buttoned out slowly.

P- look this one , it's good right ?

She showed him a picture on the tab , he smiled passing a nod . Here Annika peeped to get a glimpse of it noticing which he turned the screen towards her . She winked at him once before showing a thumbs up , he chuckled instantly .

A- uhh...sorry to interrupt but I think you should loosen up a little bit here .

She insisted when the lady was trying to measure his hip size . Shivaay sent silent prayers already, he knew something was coming for him.

P- why ?

S- an

She didn't let him though , as always .

A- aunty you know right , everyday before breakfast we all have Shilpa Shetty kinda figure but immediately after the very first meal of the day we carry like two babies inside . Bloating could be worse sometimes , and especially during birthdays , whoa! just imagine ...cakes , chocolates , tons of food from every cuisine. Five babies shivaay !

The designer let out a loud chuckle , shivaay had already closed his eyes in embarrassment . He was prepared , but the way his wife's brain works , it struck him hard , he can never be prepared for that.

P- baath tho sahi hai .

S- mom !! No , I just want the perfect fit.

He groaned before instructing the designer.

A- lo phir , then later on someone's gonna see the photos and ask , who is this pregnant man ?

S- mock test in an hour .

She watched him in horror and jumped on the bed to grab the book when he shut her with that sentence.

P- ok fine , just like you want.

She wrote down all the numbers and finished up the work .

' perfect , so you wanted two of these right ?'

P- hmm .

' same size you said , but what about the colours ?'

P- one is blue , I'll confirm about the other by tonight.

They discussed all this on their way out , he who heard all this realised exactly why his mom seemed so excited about his birthday this time. She always is but this time she did some extra of everything, she even learned baking . All made sense now , she wants to celebrate her son , the other son . Shivaay didn't know how exactly he should feel about this . Well OmRu are one thing but this is different , he didn't know how to react .

The other person on the bed here didn't seem to notice all that , as she was in much of a big trouble right now. It could be the same date , the exam she's gonna give at the third university and his birthday . God ! She hated everything now . Not a big deal it may seem but for this one she has to travel outside the city . Annika wanted to cry at this moment , the time table sucked . All their special days have always been ruined by something or the other so she had fixed her mind and heart to not let that happen again , but.

Pinky stood outside his room holding a nervous reaction on her face. After Annika had revealed about his love life , about him being in love with a girl from another religion , she was completely shocked . However modern and civilized life becomes , she still has some boundaries attached and this was beyond everything she could imagine. Already there's enough problem and this only turned out as another obstacle holding her from bonding with him. Well , bonding is still far , he hardly talks to her in the first place. She wasn't gonna give up though .

P- it's ok pinky , he's your son . Come on ,just his favourite colour , simple .

She kept muttering this to herself until she heard someone else's voice from behind.

Ro- white , he loves white .

Pinky turned back and immediately her reactions changed on finding Roop there .

Ro- is it for his birthday? He prefers simple clothes , I mean I just wanted to let you know .

She spoke glancing at the picture on the tab pinky held.

P- Don't cross your limits , he's my son and only I get to decide what's good for him. You raised him up , yes I am thankful for that but enough .

Roop shook her head and was about to say something when they heard some noise from his room.

M- ouch ...sss!!

Both rushed into the room at once . Seemed like he had burned his hand on the iron box .

Ro- oh my god Mahi ! Can't you be a little patient with things , you do this always . When are you gonna learn things !

Before pinky could react , Roop pulled him to the washroom and held his hand under the running water for sometime.

M- stop nagging mom please I'm fine.

This slipped out of his tongue in reflex , just casually . For a moment he did forget his anger and everything , even Roop felt glad after knowing he still considers her his mother .Pinky looked equally worried for him but she couldn't just bring herself to do anything after witnessing this . She felt broken from inside and couldn't stand there actually. Her hands trembled and eyes almost welled up . Mahi did see her then .

P- you , you should probably apply some ointment . I ...I'll bring it , it might burn a bit though ...we can go to the hospital and ...wait let me get it first .

She stuttered like anything and it only depicted what she was going through right now . He stopped her immediately when she was about to leave.

M- one second.

Pinky stood without facing him and he came around to land infront of her . He did notice those tear filled eyes which she tried so hard to conceal . Mahi genuinely felt sad seeing her like that .

M - I'm fine .

P- still you need something to apply on it , I'll

M- what is it ?

P- hmm?

He pointed the tab in her hand .

P- it's nothing , this can wait .

M- I said I'm ok .

P- no big deal, just wanted to know your favourite colour actually . It's for

M - white .

He replied immediately and pinky could do nothing but stare back at Roop who watched her with no reaction at all . She did feel sad that Roop knows so much about him and she's still at point zero . But the good thing is , he responded to her today . She had mixed feelings .

Shivaay wanted to prepare some tea for his wife who just couldn't keep her eyes open while studying . Seemed like she was right , she might've just forgotten how to learn . By the time she completes this entrance exam followed by the two year degree part , he's gonna turn hella sick running behind her , that he was sure but dare did he complain though , no way . He loved this girl so much .

He then saw pinky coming in to search for something in the third drawer , which actually worried him . It's meant for medicines .

S- mom are you ok ?

She searched everywhere but couldn't find it .

S- mom , I'm talking to you . What do you want ?

She decided to check somewhere else but he held her hand to stop her from leaving .

S- what happened , are you ok ?

P- shivaay can't you see I'm in a hurry , aathi hoon mein .

She wiggled out her hand to come off his grip and left the place without knowing what her action actually did . When she forced her hand out suddenly like that , it tossed up the container by accident , the hot boiling milk spilled over his hand directly .

Shivaay didn't move , nor did he even wince . He just stood there and watched his mom walk away in hurry .

And finally she finished the third chapter which was the lengthiest of all , she felt proud of herself now . Stretching her arms above she watched the clock striking almost 12.30 AM way beyond their bed time , he seemed fast asleep already . Weird , usually he waits for her . Maybe he was tired , she thought and quickly joined him . As she crawled close to him , his hands automatically reached out to pull her and that's when she felt it . His back side of the palm had so many blisters , she remembered how differently he behaved while giving her the tea . What was she even doing without noticing this ! He must've been in so much pain , it looks very bad . Annika knocked her own head and came down to check for something.

A- kuch nahi bathayega ye , bathayega tho uski height hai jo kam hogi.

She used the mobile torch to search all over the shelves and cupboard , very carefully making nil noise . And finally she did find it .

It was around 6.30 in the morning when he woke up . Nature's call made him rush into the washroom and only while washing hands he realised , it was sticky . Who did this ? None knows anything about it . As far as he remembers he didn't even let Annika see it , not wanting her to worry unnecessarily. Still carrying these thoughts , he came to the kitchen to fetch some water .

P- Gauri , intni subah utt gayi tum ?

G - mein kahan uti , aapka potha haina aaru , his sleep cycle is getting worse day by day . Om and I have become zombies lately , without proper sleep.

Pinky chuckled as gauri explained this , she seemed worn out .

P- that's why I told you to not let him sleep throughout the day . Ofcourse he'll have ample energy to stay up and entertain you all night if you don't follow this . Shivaay bhi aisa hi tha , kya bolun mein.

Gauri smiled with nod as pinky shared her experience with shivaay .

G- uhh aunty , aapne vo ointment liya na baiya ke liye . Ab teek hai vo ?

P- yeah gauri , haath pe lagi hai usko but he should be fine now .

Shivaay who heard all this from a distance felt so happy suddenly. But the ever so smart man didn't know that he is not the 'Baiya' whom Gauri just referred to. The smart man was just a small boy today , happy about the fact that his mom never thinks past him . She's always around for him.

If only he knew .
